We have forwards Jahvon Campbell, 19 year old West Brom youth product playing today and 23 year old Jean-Pierre Nsame a striker who last played for Angers in 2015, his wiki says he's not long been indicted for 5 months on charges of violence to his baby.. great!

Both got shite goalscoring records, in shit leagues.

Good to see we are putting the cash into replacing Tom.

It is Bradford who've made the bid for Doyle.

Making use of that spending power that they have.

Lee Erwin from Leeds and Connor Ripley from Middlesbrough on season long loans.

Why bid more when his release clause is a £1.

Questions must be asked as to why such clause was initiated in the first place.

Jake Wright released by Oxford. Our captain, seemed very popular around the club and his return last year seemed to make a big difference.

With two new CBs coming in I'm not too surprised though.

Callum O'Dowda ill for our first friendly and the day before our squad trip to Spain. Be a terrible shame for him to miss it, unless he is off somewhere. Oh wait he probably is.

Wright's gone to Sheffield United.

Will go down as a legend here in my eyes, two promotions and rarely had a bad game. Comfortable in possession and an excellent defender. Lacks a bit of pace and height to be top class, and can easily see why we're going with Nelson, Dunkley and Martin ahead of him; but expect him to be a solid enough signing for this level.

Wright signed by us, sounds like a good leader and imagine he will be back-up to O'Connell at left CB and cover LB too.

Just need a starter on the right side of central defence. Am relative happy with this one, we've lacked leaders and Wilder is looking to address this on and off the field.

Lee Gregory has handed in a transfer quest, it seems. Rotherham-bound -- we rejected a bid of over a million or so last week. I don't think he's quite good enough for the step up. Not delighted we're losing our top scorer but not distraught either considering I would have let him go for very little only a few months ago.

I don't think it's a massive loss, certainly not if the quoted prices are true. Definitely better out there.

He's shite, came to us last season. Bloody awful. 1 of the worst players seen at Gigg Lane
Never been prolific by the looks of things but Motherwell fans seem to rate him. Let's hope with a full pre season under his belt that he can do better for us than he did for you. None of the 3 signings have particularly impressed me so far but Matt Chambers is tweeting that we have lined up some decent players to come in next week.

Player himself now on social media seemingly rubbishing the rumours. Not sure what's going on. Rather we kept him, though. He is a twenty plus goals a season striker at this level and those are not easy to find.

The fact that fucking Rotherham have a million quid to spend on anything is the primary concern. Rotherham.

Lot of money in that league now. No surprise that clubs like Rotherham are able to splash the cash a bit. Saying that, a million quid is something of a pittance nowadays.

Franck Moussa set to sign for us. I imagine he will be the player we're going to announce tomorrow.

Latest offer that seems to trigger what happened (or didn't actually happen) was £1.4m, in all seriousness would you be happy if you got that?

Bradshaw's lates bid is 650k

I'd ask for another £100k and a large sell-on for Bradshaw before I'd consider it. Club has to be careful though, he can leave for £0 in 6 months.

£1.4m doesn't sound like an awful lot, but I'm not sure. Oxford got £3m for Kemar Roofe -- a player who didn't even hit 20 goals in L2 last season -- in the same month that the L1 2nd top scorer went to Charlton for only £800k. The market doesn't make any sense. All I can tell you is that Gregory is a player who has improved season-upon-season and towards the end of the last campaign was both playing well and scoring consistently. I think he's a shoo-in to score 25+ goals if he stays in this league next year but I don't think he is 'ready' for the Championship yet.

Ajose being poor at championship level is why he went to Charlton for £800k.

Roofe isn't an out-and-out out striker though. He's most effective behind a target man, and he spent considerable time out wide (which I never liked). I believe he scored + assisted more than any other player in the top four leagues last year, he had a decent contract and he shone brightest against teams in higher divisions. Plus there was a rumoured huge sell on. I think the fee was entirely justified (I would!).

Stupidly dismissed Wilder's habit of signing his old players.

Think that's a wee bit harsh. Wright will be on peanuts for Sheffield Utd and a manager will need to have his own men in the club.

Sheff Utd fans saying he will be back up - not sure the other lads in the team will look to the subs bench for leadership, so might be expecting too much from him there.

Both valid answers but I didn't mean to draw direct comparisons, more to illustrate how hard it can be to evaluate the worth of a player in both qualitative and quantitative terms, especially when you're not a football manager or a professional scout.

Yeah, his 3 games at Leeds proved that comprehensively. He's an out and out goalscorer but doesn't chip in with any assists. That's why he isn't every club's choice.
