Different one I think mate.
Where did you play him? We had him at centre back and he was the bollocks but shite whenever he filled in anywhere else.

Suspect we be selling Vaughan when the window opens in January. Will get 25 plus goals in this league if he stays fit.

Him staying fit is a big ask though, has he ever managed to play 35+ games a season?

It would really fucking annoy me if we weren't going for Cox. We were in for 3 out of contract strikers, one was Blackstock who is now at Rotherham.

He won't score 25 goals in 4 months will he? If he stays fit for the majority of the season he'll get 20+ goals.

The one we had is a typical non-league player. No composure, poor at passing, clumsy. Etc

4 months, meant the season, if he keeps scoring like he is he be sold and someone else will get his goals.

After some of the most underwhelming and pointlessly protracted transfer speculation this Summer, Lee Gregory has not only opted to stay at Millwall FC but has also signed an extension that keeps him at the club until 2018.

It seems Southend's signing of Ryan Iniss might have hit a snag due to the fact he's pleaded guilty in court to an un-named offense and is off to jail.

Yeah surprised to read this! Seems a top guy so didn't see that coming!

According to Southend's local rag it's for an assault and the sentence is 14 weeks, so I assume he'll be missing for about 2 months.

Controversial point possibly, but there might not actually be a direct causation between how often Ryan Inniss is nice to complete strangers and the likelihood of Ryan Inniss breaking the law.

Dean Cox has signed for Crawley, puts that one to bed then. Shame, I really wanted him.

Jake is easily good enough for League 1.
Feel a bit sorry for the lad because at the moment, when all are fit, he is competing with Dack, Wagstaff, O'hara, Wright, Byrne, Knott and Osadebe for a midfield slot.
If we didn't have the midfield we currently have, I'm sure his old man would've come back in for him.....!

I wonder if it was Bristol City with Mark Ashton over there?

Not so much a transfer but Lee Turnbull has returned to the club as Head of Recruitment from Oldham, he was a huge part of our success in the past so it's great to have him back.

I heard Wigan but I've no clue, they needed a RB so would make sense to me. Just glad he's here at least until January.

Wouldn't surprise me, we did and still do need a right back with Matthews being unfit.

Twitter suggesting that Southend are looking at Marc-Antoine Fortune. Have things got that bad?

Nathan Smith signs a new 4 year deal until 2020... Which means any clubs wanting him will have to pay big bucks! Chuffed with that!

Really pleased for Nathan. He was phenomenal for us last year, and I think playing 40+ games in a season at 19 has helped him develop.

His partner in our defence last year Angus MacDonald moved to Barnsley in the summer and has started every game since. Smith was the better of the two and four years younger, so given time to develop and gain experience he has the potential to reach at least the Championship. Another full season starting every game and I think he'll be in a much stronger position to make another step up.

We really appreciate the time he had at Torquay in fairness it worked wonders, hopefully we can send some more your way if you can develop them from boys to men!
