Rovers signed two youngsters from Chelsea and linked the picture for one of them as Loftus-Cheek, I had Gaheads on my Twitter timeline thinking they'd got him on loan :fl:

We have signed Marvin Johnson, seems like he could well be a super signing, should at least add some pace and directness, which we have really lacked so far

You've done excellently with the two signings from Scotland. Would have taken both at Aberdeen and they should do a lot of damage in L1.

Andre Wright on loan from West Brom to add to Sterry earlier in the day.

Can't add much to the Kiddie fan. We had him for most of last season and he wasn't a regular in a very, very bad Conference side. He was only 18 then, but without a massive improvement I don't see him making an impact in L1 when he didn't make one in non-league a few months ago.

Jonathon Margetts signed from Lincoln. A strange one as we already have 4 strikers and we rejected him after a trial a year ago.
Why you've signed our 3rd striker, I've got no idea. 5 in 7, but 4 of those against a terrible side.

99% would put Margetts behind Rhead and Marriott in our pecking order. Put a list of players you'd class as being better than Margetts and you'd probably have more than 9 above him.

Really stumped by it.

MK Dons have signed two of our brightest young prospects in Ryan Colclough and Jack Hendry on loan. We've paid good money for both and we hope they will become first team regulars for us or at least net us a good profit in transfer fees. Karl Robinson has s great reputation with loanees and I hope he works his magic with these two. Colclough especially should rip it up down there.
Feel bad for that Jack Hendey, was met with just abuse on Twitter because everyone was expecting a striker and we got a defender.

Not abuse directed at him, but when announced it was all "who?" "Fuck off" "fuck sake sign a striker"

Bet he wasn't expecting that... I'm happy with two Wigan players though, as I have Wigan in my family.

Relatively pleased with our business yesterday, some seem to rate the kids at Chelsea however I have no clue. They have 16 mins of senior football between them, so yeah. :ds: We'll see though!

Boateng is a signing I'm happy with, good defensive mid for Plymouth last year, still young and hopefully he can make the step up.

EDIT: By the way, Bolton's business yesterday is ridiculous on paper at least. Very shrewd signings from them.

Agree about Bolton, pretty much secured at least a play-off spot imo.

Still not quite sure how Dack's still here. Although it's quite encouraging that were we to lose the best player in the league to a higher division, we'd still have the best player in the league waiting to step up in JET.

How come Ebanks-Blake has been shipped out? I thought he was highly thought of at Chesterfield?
What?? No, he's fucking awful. Overweight, slow, lazy and has a bad attitude

the word is that the picture was taken from an official source and that it was mislabelled, still it should have been checked by someone with some football knowledge before going public :emb: another classic from our media department!

I know what you mean Pirateer, but to be fair our media output is much improved and amongst one of the best in the EFL now I think.

I'm certain they feel gutted about getting it wrong but when there are so many things that are good about the media being produced, we can forgive the odd mistake! It was rectified quickly enough thankfully.

I'm still very pleased with the business we did yesterday. Plymouth fans say Boateng was superb in his first loan spell with them last season and the reaction of Palace fans to the news has been very encouraging, while the two Chelsea boys arrive with rave reviews. Many of their supporters say they expected them both (particularly Clarke-Salter) to go on loan to a Championship or La Liga club, so I think we may well have pulled off a bloody big coup here. No doubt Wael has had a big input here!

Of course we can't get carried away just yet as they haven't played in the quarters yet, but I'm very excited to our game next weekend now (damn you Walsall for having international call-ups this weekend!).

So what about the ''marquee signing'' AberGas was going on about last night? :dk:
Didn't happen, they found out the Jordanian billionaires aren't actually billionaires. :D

Although I think I'm right in saying if his contract was not terminated before today that he can't play for another club until January. Is that right..?

As far as we are aware down here, this could well be the case..............

Gone because his wages were too high and we weren't complying with the FFP.

It was either him or Simpson, Simpson is a 25 goal a season striker in League Two.

Gutting it had to end this way.

Well half of the £1.5m goes to the youth system so it will be £750k plus whatever is left over.

Does feel weird to say though :p

Not forgetting half of the Bradshaw deal and £100k for Forde mate.. sell on for Paterson too.

We will have only spent 1/3 of the Bradshaw money on Makris package, I would imagine his wages came from the normal budget.

although Ogogo can play there Riley is still technically the only RB in the squad.

Ogogo played right back for Dagenham & Redbridge for around three seasons.

We now have three centre backs in the squad until 28 days have elapsed and Dom Smith could be recalled. With El Abd already on four yellow cards we are nearly in the position of having no centre back cover, another centre back would have been the top priority for me.

Confirmed that Cox cannot join another club till January - So our owner has fucked him over, the c***.

Will be a great signing for anyone at this level, don't be suprised if he ends up back at Charlton with Russell Slade though.

I'm just wondering how FFP has come in to this, as far as I'm aware all FFP does [in effect] is stop owners putting money in to a club in the form of loans. I imagine when they paid up his contract they'd also have had to have given him a fair chunk of cash, which would also add to your wage budget. Odd.

I think you can register 'free transfer' out of contract players at any point of the season can't you? I know that was the case for Premier League sides.

Yup. You've got it in one. It doesn't make any sense which is the most bullshittingly bullshit thing about this whole thing.

FPP isn't an excuse because we've probably had to pay most of his contract up. Additionally had a £100k bid for Luke Gambin at Barnet, the fee and wages would cost more than Cox's contract for the remainder of the season.

Robert Molenaar Dean Cox was under contract at the close of the transfer window, so therefore can not signed until January.
