We've signed Leon Lobjoit from Buckingham Town. Scored over 60 goals for them this year, good to see us having a punt on non league talent for once

He used to play for Coventry didn't he?

He did indeed, also at QPR and came through the mk done youth system. Seems like he was booted out more down to attitude so hopefully a spell down the league's will have been good for him.

Yeah that's him. He says having a kid has made him more mature so hopefully he can fulfill his potential. If not, we've not really lost anything.

Fantastic talent but a grade A twat. If he has finally got his head right then he could be a real star, but unfortunately more likely to tread the Ravel Morrison path.

We have taken Brighton keeper Christian Walton on emergency loan for 7 days as Ted Smith is out for 7-10 days with a wrist injury. Could be an April fools but both clubs tweeted it so I'm assuming it's real lol

This really is bloody annoying.
He should've been playing for us right now, but Brighton's other three goalkeepers weren't enough.

What's he like? He's gonna be playing for us against Bolton on Tuesday, hope he's good.

Daily Mail reporting Michael Appleton and Darrell Clarke now both being considered for the Wigan job with Nathan Jones if Rosler turns us down. Our Chief Exec said their won't be an appointment made until late May/early June so still a long way to go with this one. I suspect things will become a lot clearer once the playoffs are over.

Don't know why you take such an interest in Oxford, it's proper odd but there's not much to discuss here. You're just wrong. Would absolutely take a forum bet on it.

Don't know or care about Clarke but would assume he has much less to lose from making a bad move next.

Don't really give a fuck about Oxford, just reading the forum.

Why don't you think Appleton would join Wigan then? Much better resources, better ground, bigger fanbase, much better squad.... would be a decent move for him, an obvious step up. If he went and kept the majority of their current squad together he should get them back up comfortably.

One of them fans who doesn't watch a team, doesn't give a fuck about a team and yet knows all about their squad. Put your money where your mouth is and maybe someone might give you the time of day.

If Wigan wanted Appleton enough they'd get him purely by the financial offer they could make alongside the opportunity to likely get promotion.

Done a great job at Oxford but unfortunately if he was offered like most managers and players he'd be gone.

Tell you what lads, let's all reconvene and discuss how right I was when someone else is appointed.

I've watched you a few times this season, know about your squad and it's nowhere near as good as Wigan's.

If he's approached (I doubt he will be, they could do better) then he'll go.

One things for sure -- We're about to find out next season.

Tom Elliott is considering a move to the North West. A double your money deal plus family reasons.

I'd expect Appleton to come if the job was offered to him, a nice move back home to the North West at a club with a bigger budget in the same league. I don't know Clarke's circumstances/contract with Bristol Rovers and their budget for next season but I imagine it'll be a similar story for him. Having said that I'd rather have Jones over both of them. Feels like the club are purposely targeting 'highly rated' managers currently in work to try and make a positive statement to the fans that we're not going for "the cheap option".

Don't give a fuck about us, yet watch a team in the league below you and know all about us. Course you do pal. I can name about five non-Oxford players in this league but you've got the in-depth reports on Joe Rothwell and Marvin Johnson.

Can you send me a link to your blog article on false nines and the death of tiki taka

Nice to see you're already backtracking. Can't wait to see Wigan appoint someone from a team that finished below us.

Surely this just shows that he watches more football than you and takes more interest in it generally. I've watched lots of teams on the tele this year that I don't give a fuck about.

The fact you can only name 5 non-Oxford players says to me you have no idea what Wigan would be able to offer Appleton or anything to do with their squad, finances etc.

I don't really know why you're that upset about it anyway, I would love for there to be rumours of Karl Robinson leaving for another club.

Wigan do NOT have a bigger fan base than Oxford United.

Great. So what do you think of Stevenage's team and how will Chesterfield do against them next year?
