Maghoma always seemed to play well for Burton against the Vale, would be a good replacement or partner for Marshall.

I'd love Maghoma at Vale, sure we had a look before? Keep Marshall and sign him we'd have some real threat down the wings. If only Byron Moore could stay fit too!

Your tinpot League 1 teams are not signing Maghoma, sorry to burst that bubble.

Before anyone starts - I don't believe it, and I'm not to get excited by a Twitter rumour - but how funny would this be?!

Swindon or not - I'd welcome them both with open arms, two quality players there.

I know it's bullshit - but I just found it funny

Wolves have sadly decided that the future of the club and the future of Leon Clarke do not reside in the same division.
Leon, who was in the top three of the Championship "Leon of the Year" awards, is now available for hire to "do his stuff" down your place.
It is Wolves very strong preference for Leon to go to a rival club in the Championship, but recognise that this is unlikely.
Mr Clarke has scored three goals in more than 20 hours on the pitch this season, so might be suitable for a job in landscaping or as a barrista or with a mid-level League One side like Oldham, Scunthorpe or Wigan. He still has the Wigan shirt, so a club with blue and white stripes with a reputation for "bringing players on" would have a definite advantage.

Jake Cassidy is also available for bar mitzvahs and hen nights. His tally of four goals in almost two days on the pitch this season in Leagues One and Two is not entirely a disgrace as the sun was in his eyes.

I'd expect us to talk to Mattock. We don't have a left back contracted currently and its a position that both Harris and the Chief Exec have mentioned already with regards to recruitment. Id have thought we'd be able to afford his wages.

Leon Clarke would be a good signing for any League One club, scores goals for fun but when he plays in the Championship he can't hit a cows arse.

Dale have signed Donal Mcdermott, decent at Chesterfield and Bournemouth but seems to have gone off the rails recently. Broken toy for Hilly to work his magic on.

I wouldn't say decent for us, I'd say wildly inconsistent, and at the end a waste of time. Great left foot. Terrible attitude and struggles in his personal life. Will never reach the potential heights or career his ability should give him. But wish him well, if Dale can get a tune out of him they'll have a cracking player.

I am hearing RO'D is off to Bradford, the curse strikes again.

I really like the bloke, and if this is true, its hard to wish someone well when they are making a sideways move.

Better wages, bigger club, better league position....

Apart from the wages, it's most definitely a sideways move.

As a neutral, I disagree, Bradford are more likely to get promoted to the Championship than Walsall, imo and are a more attractive proposition to play for, imo...and at this level, you can't really begrudge players moving for an extra £500 or so a week.

O'Donnell isn't going to walk into a Championship side, unless he wants to sit on the bench.

I fear for him, so very reminiscent of Brandy to Sheffield Utd, Butler to Sheffield Utd, Grigg to Brentford.

Not one of those worked out for the players.

O'Donnell did well for us when we had him as a youngster, not surprised to see him doing well at League One level. Can't blame him for joining Bradford, no disrespect to Walsall but Bradford are a bigger club with bigger support and can probably offer him more money.

Bradford are definitely a bigger club and he could be playing infront of 15000 next year with their new season ticket prices.

Sorry Walsall fans but I have to agree wholeheartedly with SF, Bradford is a step up from Walsall no doubt. Now if he was moving to somewhere like Colchester United, then you might have a point about a sideways move.

Bradford are a bigger club, with a bigger budget, bigger fanbase, bigger reach and bigger hopes/expectations of progressing and in that sense it's an absolute no brainer. However, Is the difference THAT big of a step up to leave a club where he is loved by the fans, with less
expectation and less pressure to perform?

Brandy, Butler, Grigg etc are all good examples of players who thought a few extra quid and a bigger fanbase would enhance careers...Grigg has gone up in the world, but he didn't do it at Brentford. Brandy has had about 6 clubs in 2 years and has just been released by Rochdale...Butler plays infront of similar crowds at Donny currently and they are probably in a minorly worse state than us.

Can see both sides to the story.

Can see where you're coming from, but maybe he feels it's time for a new challenge. Some players get too comfortable at clubs, maybe a move to Bradford will help his development as a goalkeeper.

Our budget is substantially bigger than yours though...

No denying that, but the rest is about the same in terms of size. It's only recent success and a bit of cash that has seen you go through a good club period. Traditionally, I'd say Walsall are a bigger club than Doncaster.

Didn't Butler only leave Walsall due to where he lived though?

He left Walsall to be closer to home in Sheffield. Didn't work out there, so he was loaned back by us, Smith then didn't opt to extend his loan (we had enough defenders and finished with the 4-5th best record in the division at the back) and he went to Donny. His hometown. Money will have had an effect though too. Still love him! Regardless and he deserved to earn more money/be closer to home/work with a team who had bigger expectations after being truly immense for 4 years at us.

Looks like we are trying to sign one of our loanees from last season in Greg Leigh up to a permanent deal. He is a free agent after being released by Man City. Would be really pleased if he signed for us, was a consistent player for the most part.

You can't even wipe your arse with tradition. I doubt many footballers care what the Rothman's Football Yearbook says, in real terms Doncaster have a greater chance of playing in the Champ in the short and long term and almost definitely offer better wages.

Bradford gives this O'Donnell fella, whoever he is, increased visibility and potentially personal and professional success.

I'd be pissed off if Billy Clarke went to Wigan as they're tinpot, but they'd definitely be able to pay him a better wage (unless we get bankrolled) and they'll probably finish above us next year. It's all relative.
