Unless something has changed Harry Pell is not a league 1 player. Was an average league 2 player imo.

900k for Vaughan
325k for Matt Foulds to Everton

Sold George Miller to boro for 200k plus add ons, Will Ferry (600k to S'oton), Obi (over £1M to L'pool)

As well as that we've got 16 year old Callum Styles and Tsun Dai in the first team squad..

Sounds like the arselicking hasn't paid off. FGR have made a bid and a deal is close. You must have some good wonga because we paid 6 figures and the bid is more than what we paid.

Seems our media team have shot their bolt! (me too!)

Latest rumour suggests he will sign for Swindon on Monday after all:dk:

Agree totally with that. Always wanted him to do well because he puts the effort in, but never thought he'd stay in League football. A six figure fee is insane unless he's a transformed player.

He has been fantastic for us over the past two seasons, there's no doubting it. League 2 is about his level though.

The rumour is £350k - That would make him our second highest sale ever. He certainly isn't worth that.

They must have come in with a 11th hour bid because he's definitely been speaking to you late last week. A deal must have been close.

Signing Tom Field on loan until January.
Good young player is Field. Tall and with a bit of pace, he's got great technique and can pass it about well - good left-footed corner and free kick taker, good when facing scoring opportunities too. He's an ok defender, but recovers well and has the ability to pick his game up mid-match if he's had a difficult start. I think confidence will be the key with him playing well and progressing - i.e. don't get on his back at the first mistake!

Wigan have signed Jamie Jones

I hope he's back up to your back up, worst keeper we've ever had.

We'll announce a new striker this week for a club record fee as well. Good, other than Lewie having a shocker the one thing I took away was that we seemed to lack any form of danger going forward, and hopefully the new guy can change that.

We've officially announced Tom Field, good talent apparently. Although he looks like a tall jockey, and a little skinny hopefully he'll bulk up. We don't have a bad record with past long term loanees(Over a month), hopefully the lad will be another.

Losing Ryan Taylor to injury early in the Peterborough game this weekend left us with literally no first team strikers whatsoever (we all knew we were very light but I think Adams had hoped Taylor would see us through until later in the transfer window whilst we lined up targets). He's now come out in the local media and said we've got offers on the table to 4 different strikers, but we don't know who yet

Is that our Ryan Taylor? He's shit.

He was all we had coming up!

He was good in league 2 to be fair as the way we play we tend to have a lot of attacking midfielders (some with real quality actually) and wingers get in and around a forward focal point that is just there to bring others in, we don't really play with 'goalscorers' as such, so he's very good at that role, but how good he is at league 1 doing that obviously will remain to be seen

Signed Connor O'Malley from St. Patricks. Another goalie and still no wing backs....

He was ok at that in Lg 1, just doesn't score enough.

He'll fit in if he passes it about. Wish we'd get rid sometimes if I'm being honest. Also he'll be about 12th in the pecking order for free kicks. Never known us to have so many. I remember one year our 'specialist' was Graeme Lee because he could toe bung it the hardest.

We've released Gary Roberts. Shame as he's an extremely good footballer. His legs are starting to slow. I fully expect Cookie to take his drinking partner to keep him company in the pub.

Sad end for Gary Roberts, but hard to disagree with the decision as League One would have been too fast-paced for him now.

Overall he did well for us but really started to slow down mid-way through last season and was only a bit part player after that.

He was made available for transfer a couple of months back but maybe salary was an issue for any prospective club. His release should make him a viable signing for a League Two club looking for a creative spark.

Roberts was a top top player, 20 goals in 80 appearances talks for itself. Sad to see him go, but it should allow us to get a decent CM in.

Oldham have signed promising 22 year old winger Gyamfi Kyeremeh, on a two year deal with an option of a third, after a successful trial.

Signed Shaun Cummings, 28 year old right back who was a free agent.
Both parties happy with a 12 month deal presumably because as a southern lad he might want to suss out living up north.
Any thought Millwall fans?
