We have re-signed defender Ryan Sweeney and his Stoke team-mate Dominic Telford on season-long loans.

Absolutely ecstatic with Sweeney returning. He was a rock for us when he signed in January and we've been waiting for him to sign all summer, but there were Championship clubs in for him so there were fears he wouldn't want to drop back in to League One. The fact he has is great news for us.

Telford I know next to nothing about. Stoke signed him for a fee from Blackpool as a teenager a few years back but that's about all I know. Don't suppose any Stoke or Blackpool fans can shed any light?

Very happy with our business so far.

Sounds like the arselicking hasn't paid off. FGR have made a bid and a deal is close. You must have some good wonga because we paid 6 figures and the bid is more than what we paid.

Yes, noises coming from our official Twitter account yesterday evening that a deal is close or done.

Very happy if so, he can hopefully develop his career at a pace that suites him.

We must be spending some of the fee we got for Pinnock

Cheers

Matt Done re-signs for Dale. Great signing for them. Could push them closer to a P/O position this season.
Push us closer to a playoff position? Bit harsh on Matty suggesting his presence would drop us from first to second...

Being serious, he is a cracking signing though...

We're talking with Port Vale about sending central midfielder Ben Whitfield there on loan. He's 21 and spent most of last season at Yeovil.

Luton and Blackpool are both interested in a permanent move for our 22 year old right winger Harry Cornick, who's had various loans across leagues one and two in recent years.

We have signed Tunisian international Islam Ben Khemis who was released by L'Orient on a 2 year contract and Rodney Kongolo on loan from Man Citeh.

Ben khamis has looked good in pre season and could be a real find for us. The lad from city looks an excellent signing. Captain of their under 23s last season and they have likened him to the next yaya toure so be interesting to see how he goes.

Smith gets a lot of stick. He's tall and gangly but pretty poor in the air with strong defenders. Got a good touch, but terrible striking technique. Expect him to fluff a truck load of chances. He works very hard and does alot off the ball which doesn't get noticed. Some games he's unplayable, some games you wonder how he is a pro footballer. Not quick enough to play up on his own.

There is absolutely no chance that you will be signing Josh Magennis, let me nip that one in the bud right now.

If you see someone looking a bit bedraggled, just wearing pants with a big bag of cans in town later. It'll be me :bye: what a fucking signing UTG.

I can take the afternoon off and drive Smith up there if you like? To be fair though, he's ok as a target-man if you're looking for someone to link up with a nippier striker. He just seems to visibly shrink when he gets in the area. Has the composure of a teenage girl at a boy-band gig when having a sight of goal.

Absolute power play from Bournemouth man pretending not to know L1 and L2 are different things.

Bristol Rovers a great bet for play offs.

I even double checked which division they were in before still proceeding to post that one in the wrong thread. My bad.

Has he been one of the goalies on trial?
Yeah, played first half on Tuesday.

Yeah, read about that! I don't believe he was that bad at Rochdale last season though, and he's been given shirt number 12 rather than 1, so can't see him being this season's first choice.

Bury have somehow signed Harry Bunn from Huddersfield for an undisclosed fee.

Where on earth are they getting this money from?

We've made over £3.5M in transfers of first and youth team players in the last 12 months.. that's where the money is coming from.

Fee of 600k being banded around. Ipswich had a 500k bid for Bunn rejected last week.

That's neat because it pretty much exactly covers the cash you lost from operations in 2016 and 2015.

At least this guy is likely to have resale value.

We have allegedly accepted a 6 figure bid for Harry Pell from Blackpool.

He's a decent player, think League 1 might be a step to high for him though. He's a real fans-favourite though and is great with the community stuff.

Really? Would you care to elaborate on this with some detail please? We all know about Vaughan, but there is very little concrete information about the kids you sold.

The accounts for the last 3 seasons show huge losses of over 10m, so even if what you say is correct, it's still a massive shortfall.

Harry Bunn is a great signing for you...should really have gone to a Championship side imho. He will be on very big wages (for L1) on a three year deal as well, plus a transfer fee that must at least be close to the £500k that Ipswich offered

Looks like you lot are either being backed heavily by someone, or are massively overtrading and heading for a fall.

He won't be here for longer than a season. Like vaughan he'll be gone after a good season here.

Harry bunn is a cracking player, he'll do brilliant with bury... I would of thought a player of his quality would want to go to a championship team but anyway... Bury got a right steal there

900k for Vaughan
325k for Matt Foulds to Everton

Sold George Miller to boro for 200k plus add ons, Will Ferry (600k to S'oton), Obi (over £1M to L'pool)

As well as that we've got 16 year old Callum Styles and Tsun Dai in the first team squad..
