Defender Sido Jombati has signed on for another 2 years, great news as he can play anywhere in defence where needed if we have injuries and suspensions,we just need left back Joe Jacobson to sign a contract extension and we'll be all set in defence.

One of the rumours is we are signing ex Bristol Rovers LB Lee Brown? I remember him scoring a peach at Fratton Park a couple of years ago. Rovers fans, why did you release him, or did he not want to stay? Cheers

This was a rumour a while ago but your manager put it to bed saying no thanks - publicly anyway.

He more chose to leave due to family issues and wanted to be closer to them in London. I got the feeling there is also a business opportunity there for him as well from his interview (maybe something with his family?)

I'll be annoyed if he does go to you though, it would be a bit of an insult considering you're not that much closer and a play off rival

We’re closing in on Dover winger Mitchell Pinnock apparently.

Couple of incoming at Dale.

19 y/o central defender James Finnerty joins from Aston Villa. Don't know much about him, but he keeps to the recent Dale tradition of defenders with Irish names, our back line for the last couple of years sounding like a Westmeath legal firm at times.

At the other end of the age scale, Perkinho (aka David Perkins) has returned to Dale after a 10 year absence as the experienced head needed in midfield. Pleased by this - he certainly did well for Wigan last season when called on, and was offered a new deal by them. Less bothered by his age than I would be by other players, as he only started full time football in his mid-twenties, so ought to still have something left...

All yours, please pay lots of money :)
He would be a free transfer as his contract runs out supposedly.

Have also read our interest has come and gone the rumour is he won't be joining us.

Sounds like we’re re-signing Andrew Shinnie today (or at some point). He was on a season long loan last season where he has some impact. I have high hopes that he will have a bigger impact at a higher level.

Pinnock's under 24, so we'll offer him a new contract & there'll be a fee i think?

He was brilliant for us when he first arrived, then got injured/suspended and lost his way a bit but still a strong, powerful striker who knows where the goal is. He should do well for you.

He better do. I’m expecting us to pair him with Liam Boyce who will sign from Burton. Glad he’s not at Yeovil anymore. A horrible club

Thought he was brilliant up until about November but disappeared far too often when the weather and pitches deteriorated. Although to be fair Jones should probably have clocked that trying to play intricate passing football through the middle of the pitch with little to no width was a hiding to nothing on League 2 December bogs. Hopefully he's learnt from that and we will be more adaptable.

When he's on form Shinnie is a Championship level creative player so I'm happy enough with a permanent deal, just hope we address his consistency issues. Got a battle on his hands for the first choice #10 spot now anyway with the emergence of Elliot Lee in that role.

Seems we are looking to sign Keeper Ryan Allsop who was at Lincoln last season, we had him on loan 4 seasons ago and he impressed with some great saves.

I'm a bit ambivalent about Shinnie, he was alright but went missing too often for my liking. Any game where it was bit cold or wet, or the team were a bit physical he went missing, and away from home he was useless I think. That game against Colchester really sticks in the mind for me on that front, we lost Berry so we needed him to step up and be a creative force and he just did.....nothing.

Having said that, when he is on form he really is a quality player and maybe at a level above he might suit it more.

Not unhappy he has signed or anything, but I wouldnt have exactly been upset if we said thanks but no thanks.

Did well for us despite less complimentary comments from his previous Clubs. We found him a nice, calm, unsettling influence who just went about his job very quietly and with minimal fuss.

Probably not too much difference between him and our number 1 (who he replaced due to injury), so I can't see us pursuing anything.

Joe Riley signs on two year deal from Man Utd.Looks a good signing to be fair

Never heard of him but must have something about him. Find youth players from clubs are a bit hit and miss, Tyrell Robinson this year was basically a nothing signing from Arsenal and got young player of the year so hoping for a repeat.

Yeah of course. But you surely don't wanna raid us again. LOL. I actually think it's a risk to take him out of London and away from his home and expect him to be happy. I have heard lots of rumours from he failed your medical to he turned you down but I guess one way or another you are in for him as well.

Just out of interest, would you welcome Dom Poleon back as part of the deal - or just in general?
