Paul Taylor is fucking magic! He’ll ping at least 3-4 absolute worldies in per season.

As previously mentioned, he seems to be fighting a lot of demons - and by NO means am I referring to his widely speculated drug habit, as this powder is lush.

Did I really say that...

Anyway, decent player, and I suspect GM is the type of manager who could quite possible keep him in line......

Sorry.

Paul Taylor is a cracking player but unfortunately is wasting his talent. If you can keep him away from the booze and drugs you’d have a really good player.

Seems like a few moves are going to trigger some movement. We are looking to sell Chaplin to Coventry. We are apparently interested in Mo Eisa from Cheltenham, although Peterborough, Barnsley are looking at him too. With the Chaplin money and sell on from Webster we may have enough cash to to the deal.

Wimbledon have signed Scott Wagstaff on a free. Wouldn't be a summer transfer window without us and the Dons swapping a couple of players.

He's decent, but made of straw.

Sunderland have Anton Forrester on trial! That is hilarious. They must be bloody desperate.

Wagstaff was a big disappointment in his 2 years with us. Injury problems did not help, but even when he had a run in the team he offered little in terms of goals and assists. We had 2 forwards who scored a lot of headers last season, but I don't think any were after after a Wagstaff Cross. He worked hard so have no issue with him. I was so pleased when we signed him, so the reality was a big let down.

Seems there's going to be a bit of movement this week. Chaplin to Coventry has been bubbling for a while, but now Colin Doyle has been training with us. Luke Mcgee not happy at being replaced as number 1 and a bid has been made for him. Possibly using the Chaplin and the McGee money to buy Eisa from Cheltenham

I thought you lot rate McGee highly? Doyle is what I would call your bog standard league 1 keeper, not the best or worst. Decent guy though and I wish him all the best. But at 33 he hasn't played the most football and I'd think he'll be a downgrade for you, I'm more than happy with our replacement.

I think he's got a massive future. Just have to go back to to both Wigan games last season. He he incredible. I think he had a few losses of form last season and without a proper 2nd keeper to drop him for he continued playing. We bought in stephen henderson on loan and dropped mcgee. Think he took it badly. We've got in Macgillvery who'd I expect to be number one. Think KJ and McGee have fallen out over it. Could all be rubbish and Doyle is just training for fitness. We will see.

Long way to go for fitness, he lives up here and has 3 children to care for with his wife.

Jackett has said he knows Doyle's agent so he's training with us. Smells like more than that. Unfortunately Pompey are so closely watched in Portsmouth. There are some fans who are constantly near the training ground due to the location in the city and anyone they don't recognise is instantly googled!

Doyle’s proper meh, makes mistakes and doesn’t command his box well, but he’d be a decent back up keeper. Problem is he will want to be playing so he’s got a chance of being in the Ireland squad.

We had this last season with our academy goalie. He's gonna be a very good keeper, but very tall and skinny so was never going to challenge McGee. MacGillvery from Scunny only played 14 times last season so was not a number 1. Doyle looked like a goodun at Blackpool. What happened to him last season? Was the 2nd choice not up to taking over?

MacGillvery was with us not Scunny. He was a very competent replacement for Dean Henderson when he came in for cup games or when Henderson was with England U21s, but I think was pretty annoyed about his lack of action - he'd probably have been our number 1 if he had stayed, but Pompey is a great move for him - I think it helped his move that he had his best performance of the season at Fratton Park....

He made a few mistakes in 16-17, considering he was behind a good defence and we ended up only being something like 7 points off the automatics that year it was clear to me we needed a better keeper to take us up.

He got the number one shirt again last season, not sure he had a much better season but he was behind a much worse defence and you are right in saying his competition was awful, so relatively speaking he looked better and you could blame him less for what was going on.

He’s not a bad keeper as I say, just can count on one hand the amount of times I went away from a game thinking one of his saves had got us a point.

I think he has messed up by not signing a new contract at ours which he was offered but dallied about and we ended up getting a decent keeper in ourselves. In my opinion there are better keepers in this league so it’ll be interesting if he finds himself a decent club where he’s playing week in week out so he can still push for his Ireland squad spot as he is getting on a bit now.

Marriott and Maddison money incoming at some point remember. That could easily be 8 figures combined.
But looking at Wikipedia, they currently have 31 professionals, including 12 newbies. Im quite glad we’re playing them early season.

And another one! This is probably Marriott's replacement but we've signed Jason Cummings on loan for the season from Forest.

Happy with that. Got to expect he will score a few goals at this level.

We've signed Gavin Whyte from Crusaders for an undisclosed fee. A pacy 22 yo winger who scored 24 in 44 appearances last season. He was called up for N Ireland's squad for the friendlies in May but didn't play.

Supposedly Leeds were interested, don't know how true it is but other clubs were interested apparently.

Sunderland ‘monitoring’ Wyke, could be more of a goer if they have any money spare.
