He may be utter dogs shite but he always scores against us.

I'm glad he's gone too.
His goal against you at ours was classic Poleon, misses about 10 tap ins in the early season, gets a chance from Grayson, is gash all game, lashes one in from nowhere and instead of celebrating, stands there acting like the crowd had been giving him dogs abuse all game (they hadnt).

Happy so far, not one of them I was arsed about leaving other than Doyle, and when O'Donnell came in that feeling went away.

If Hope Akpan is a replacement for Dieng then that's a decent upgrade imo. What do the Burton fans on here think of Akpan?

Even Alan Nixon has been complimentary of our business, and he's hated us for a year.
Akpan is a good signing for you. Can go missing in games but he is a talent. Scored a great goal in the last game and almost kept us in the championship before Bolton scored.
He is a good addition for you. Shame he is leaving us.

We have unsurprisingly made an inquiry on 2 Posh players, don’t know who and Posh made a counter bid on Marquis which we turned down

Sounds like McNulty is off to Reading for £1.2-£1.5m. Frustrating as now means we're in desperate need of a goal scorer, but wasn't overly convinced that he'd do the business at this level and certainly not convinced he's anywhere near Championship standard. Will need to find a replacement quickly.

Poor for us at this level, although he did take his 1 goal he scored with us well.

If you get that and reinvest I'd say that's been 12 months of very good business from you on him.

It’s all relative. Marquis although a great workhorse hadn’t a great goal scoring record before he joined us but has 41 in 2 seasons now.

Can't believe that sort of price is going to be paid for him, I know he scored goals L2 but he failed in L1 with both us and Sheff U, very good business for you if true as you will need better than him.

We're reportedly set to sign Stephen Humphrys on loan from Fulham, was on loan at Rochdale last year. He seems ok but I will take any thing right now.

Any info on him Fedora Dale Dale4ever

Chaplin to Coventry to replace McNulty is looking likely. I've liked Chaplin as a home grown talent, has ability to score all types of goals, great off the bench, but ineffective as a starter. Hopefully it's a loan deal..

Reliable sources at your end saying it's happening? We have basically no sources anymore so pretty much every deal comes out of the blue.

He's a decent player at this level. Big, quite fast and skilful. Sometimes drifts out of games, but he's young and raw. Did a good job for us, and will probably do the same for you, particularly if you've got a decent experienced forward alongside him.

We've confirmed the loan signing of Stephen Humphrys from Fulham.

Won't solve all of our problems but it's another body which is a good start.

Jorge Grant to LTFC on a season loan according to Pete O'Rourke

I see it's confirmed now. Basically kept us up the season before last with 6 in 15 after joining in Feb, and scored 19 last year (and a hatful of assists), although 16 of these were before the New Year.

Seemed to lose it a little after his Forest pal Ryan Yates was recalled in Jan and sent back out to Scunny, but still a very good player with an uncanny knack of being in the right place at the right time in the penalty area, and getting a goal from nowhere. Scores some belters from outside the box, too. He'll bag 3 or 4 direct free-kicks next season for you if he takes the majority.

I'm not convinced he could cut it in the Championship, but a good signing in L1 for Luton for sure.

Good signing for Luton and will suit their style of football. Hopefully they play him as a proper number ten, he was always a bit more peripheral and of a luxury for Notts than I would’ve liked and contributed in terms of popping up with important goals rather than getting involved lots in the play, but that may have been down to him playing on the left.

Good kid and works really hard so hopefully Jones can keep improving him.

Happy with that. Would have like a permanent but it seems Forest weren't budging on it. Upgrade on Olly Lee for sure.

Probably business done now unless Dan Potts goes in which case we'll need a replacement. Sneaking suspicion we might try and squeeze one more midfielder in if one becomes available.

Brandon Mason confirmed now, young LB from Watford. Imagine he'll be back-up to Junior Brown for now and should signal Chris Stokes' departure to Bury. Left back was the weakest part of our squad last season so happy to see a complete overhaul.

Pleased about Grant always looked a classy player whenever I have seen him and think he’ll suit us. Shame it’s only a loan.

Probably done now but I’d aspirationally like a defensive midfield player coming in. Not likely unless there’s movement elsewhere though.

Reaffirming once again, we have the best board of the directors in the EFL. Him and Bradley, with the competition for their signatures, I didn’t expect to get.

Grant is out of contract in a year anyway isn't he? And he'll be 24 by then so who knows, we might be thinking we can attract him on a permanent in a year's time. With the investment Forest are getting at the moment it's difficult to see him breaking in to their team now.

I'm looking forward to seeing him play, just wondering what role he will play in the diamond. I assume he'll play as the #10 at times but that'll be Elliot Lee's shirt to lose initially at least so I imagine we'll see him play on the sides of the diamond as often as not.

Really starting to think our squad lends itself best to a passable imitation of a Southgate-style 3-5-2 interpretation (basically 3x #10 types of varying shapes and sizes at any one time all looking to run beyond the main striker).

Luton fans, what is Akin Famewo like?

A little raw but a physical beast for his age and he's left footed which is a bonus as there doesn't seem to be too many naturally left sided centre backs around. He's very highly rated and had interest from Championship teams, bags of potential.

Delighted with that bit of business, it's been rumoured for ages that he had had his head turned and would be off this summer so for him to a) sign a contract extension and b) get a really decent loan move is great news for all concerned I hope. Hopefully he makes the most of it and does well for you.

He signed a three year contract with Forest last summer so will still have one left. Not sure they see a future for him there long term but will be looking for him to have a good season in League One so he attracts more ££.

Am sure we’ll be keeping an eye on it if we manage to get promoted this year, sure he would’ve been back at ML again had we managed to get over the line last season.

What's Jordan Houghton like Donny fans? Signed for us on a two year deal earlier.

Was great for us in League 2 but got an injury towards the end of the season and didn’t seem the same after that. I wouldn’t have complained if he had signed for us as I think he has potential

Seems Posh have signed Josh Yorwerth from Crawley. Decent centre half but can lose his rag.

I don't think he is as good as the other two centre Half's you had from us (Fadz and Walsh) but he should do ok at league one.

Decent player and would have taken him here for another full season given the chance. He’s big and strong, pretty fast too. His first touch often let’s him down though, but if he can sort that out he will be some player. Still very young so he will get better for sure.
