I did see on the rumour mill that Rangers are after Curtis Tilt of Blackpool, who's apparently valued at £1 million - surely that's a pisstake?

Don't think so, they rejected £550k from Ipswich supposedly.

Naturally, it sounds Joe Dodoo is.

Joe Dodoo is without any question, shit.

Pleased with the Pratley signing, two good pick-ups on freebies for Bowyer so far but we need a load more and we are going to need to spend at some point.

Matty Lund linked with us and Scunthorpe. Think we've probably got enough in the middle of the park so not too fussed on this one.

Update: Very close to signing Sean Scannell on a perm deal. Would be a fantastic coupe for any club in this division.

Good Cup, what about a coup though?

In all seriousness, good player for that level.

If he comes then I hope that means the end of Vincelot, if he isn't leaving I wouldn't bother with this as we have enough in CM.

There was a small rumour we were after Scannell and having worked for Powell previously I thought there could be some legs in it. Jealous of that signing and Payne also. Bradford putting together a tidy team.

The big and only real issue left for us is up front, you achieve nothing really without good strikers, we need two when Wyke goes. How we recruit there will probably let us know where we are likely to finish.

He's a great signing from what I remember of him. Not sure what happened to him, why is he dropping down to league 1 when he is easily good enough for the championship.

Looks like the bidding war for Eisa is continuing. We've made a 4th bid, not sure how much, but rumours its around £1.3million. Not sure how much Cheltenham will hold out for. Papers say £1.5million. Seems alot for a player who's only scored goals at league 2 level for one season. McNulty was around £1.2 and he's had a few years of scoring goals

Can you big teams all stop bidding actual money for players please, it's turning some of our fans into jealous, rabid cry-babies on Twitter.

Cheers.

We signed James Horsfield on a free transfer from NAC Breda yesterday. Only like 6 more players to go until we have a semi decent sized squad.

Vincelot is a defensive midfielder who can play in defence. Lund is an attacking midfielder.

Yes, he had a poor end to last season, but they all did. Romain Vincelot is still more than capable at this level. Definitely keep him, as he’ll flourish in the type of team we’re presently building.

Absolutely no idea mate.

New head coach, Micheal Collins, obviously started his career at Huddersfield, so I’m assuming his links with Hudders is the primary reason for the signings of Payne and Scannell, which TBH, both are class above this league.

Payne played his first game for us last night against Sheff Utd - he scored and ran the show.

Scannell is probably dropping because he's very injury prone and didn't exactly light the world up on loan at Burton last year.

Vincelot has a use in defence at a push, but not in midfield, his legs have gone for that role. We need better, personally I wouldn't bother with Lund as I didn't think he was all that, but he may do better in a team that tries to play football instead of Grayson ball.

I could take that point, if only it was true.

He’s had his injuries, as with most players. In his last two seasons, he’s still featured 36 times. Of course this isn’t a lot, but to say he’s prone to injury - I disagree.

Lund is another very good attacking midfielder at this level. In an ideal world, keeping Vincelot and signing Lund would be great. Question marks over whether we would need Lund would be my point, given the number of attacking midfielders we already currently have.

Wyke’s a finisher so he’d do alright in the Champ. He gets himself in decent positions when the service is right and he has the quality and composure in the box that a lot of lower league strikers lack.

Mobility is worth fck all if you can’t finish, look at someone like Hiwula.
Wyke is also a good hold up player and good at bringing his mates into play. Last year before he became unsettled, I saw him as our only player that could perform in the championship.
