John Egan going to Sheffield Utd for £4m should net us somewhere in region of £800k from his sell on clause.

Nice little earner that. Around £1.3 million received for John since he left in various forms - not too bad for a free transfer!

Yeah not bad at all, especially from a tribunal set fee!

Quite. Could do with Dack having a belting first three months to the season and then getting sold for £10 million for a bit more!

We have seemingly gone from paying too much for players to not paying enough. We are in desperate need of attackers right now so hopefully there's some irons in the fire or we'll be playing for 0-0 draws come August.

Think the big time charlies of League One and Two are too proud to take in the delights of the Sunderland Airshow and the theater where Sid James suffered a heart attack. We have new seats in the stadium, what more do they want!? :dis:

We're probably skint again and the Khazri money has gone towards our new owners internet bill.
As I said before Sunderland have said they’re happy with our valuation of Wyke so it begs the question why’ve they not just paid it, especially if Eisa is off elsewhere. Maybe just ironing out details but it seems to be taking a while seen as he clearly wants to go.

Ipswich Town are looking at James Collins. It would cost them a lot of money for us to sell - £1.5m+++.

That sounds silly right for a player with a questionable record at L1 level let alone the Championship (although he has scored 15+ goals for the last 4 seasons anywhere), but look at some of the fees being banded around recently - for a striker, one of our key players, got 3 years left on his contract at a club who have no need to sell and just before the start of the season / end of the transfer window.

Seems a bit of a non starter to me. Given his contract situation we would ask for silly money that frankly he isnt really worth as we don't need to sell him. Id assume they are only looking at him as other targets have fallen through due to price as they aren't exactly known for paying big fees for players.

If they are willing to pay what we ask then they may as well go after Wyke, Eisa or whatever other striker is flavour of the month at the moment.

Snap their hands off if they offer £1.5m for Collins as that would be a fantastic fee for him.

We Alfreton have former Doncaster Rovers player Harry Middleton on trial. Was impressed today. What can any resident Donny fans tell me about him?

To be fair theirs been such a paucity of actual football conversation on Outlaws this summer when something gets posted on their that is football related it’s pretty newsworthy!

Two midfield players have joined today.

Doug Loft on a one year contract after impressing as a trialist in our pre-season games.

Charlie Colkett on a season long loan from Chelsea.

HITC have linked us with Ricky Holmes. And they were right about Jem Karacan as Karl Robinson has confirmed we're in talks, whether we get him though we'll find out.

Apparently we had a "6ft+ midfield powerhouse" in for talks yesterday as well but absolutely no clue who that is.
The 6ft classification is a bit old now. The youth of today are generally a lot taller now

At one point we had high hopes for him but he didn’t progress unfortunately, one paced and preferred to pass sideways rather than foreword. He should at your level be good he does have skill

Loft has a dodgy Achilles. He has missed games in the last 5 seasons hurting it. Is a decent player but that was the reason we released him. He then had same issue and Colchester.

Sunderland have submitted a third bid this morning, nearer the asking price of £1m. I think this will be accepted, unless we want to play hardball. Bolton are reportedly still interested, so the bidding war may still commence.

As a replacement, we have enquired about Billy Sharp on-loan from Sheff Utd.

That is an optimistic enquiry but would be a fantastic signing if you can pull it off.

No idea why Sheff Utd would let Sharp go, off the back of a good season.

Ellis Harrison moving to a championship club - announced tomorrow. Strong rumors we got £1.6m for him.

We needed at least 1 striker before, with Ellis off we are now desperate for 2 quality strikers.

Apparently we’re signing an experienced LB tomorrow but I feel that the signings of strikers will determine if we’ll be mid table or a play off team next season
