Out of contract in the summer so reckon Huddersfield will 'cash in'. Hoping we can find 300k+ behind the sofa to keep him here.

The fee isn’t an issue, it’s the wages. He’s on £11k per week at Town.

We have signed Dylan Connolly a Irish winger from Dundalk. Ipswich briefly had him before. Apart from him being very quick I know nothing else.

Carey out of contract in the summer so will be available cheap now and imagine we’d want to cash in.

Good enough for the championship? If you get the carey of the 2 seasons past then yes comfortably.

He’s not done an awful lot this season though but is one of our key players in getting forward with his direct runs.

Rumours Luton in for him.

He was absolutely terrible against us when we beat you 5-1. One of the primary reasons that happened actually as he just was not interested in tracking back and left his full back exposed to James Justin to reek havoc.

Wasn’t at the game but that’s definitely not the norm for him - his work rate is one of his best attributes. Can’t blame him for losing interest our defence is a shambles.

Jonny Williams watching our game yesterday and looking as if he’ll be signing on loan.

Just what our injury ravaged squad needs, a crock.

3 loan players have returned to their clubs - Morris,Williams and Onyedinma (A big miss) No doubt more will come in this month as we're about to come into some cash for the sell on clause of Kortney Hause's sale from Wolves to Aston Villa. :£ :bg:

We’re set to sign Tony McMahon from oxford apparently.

We haven’t had a fit right back for 90% of the season so even if he’s dog shit it’ll be an improvement.

Not his biggest fan, but he's useful tbf and good at set pieces. Certainly be far better than play McArdle there.

Weirdly, someone on our forum has posted a saying that he 'knows' we've made enquiries about Carey.

Can't see it myself.

Yikes. 750k. Damn that's so much money at this level........and Jaydon Stockley. I know he's improved but.......
£750k is an absolute snip when you consider the other players who’ve left L2 clubs for much more recently (Doidge, Eisa, McNulty, Jackson etc) He’s scored 50 in 96 for us, is still only 25 and has been class throughout.

Looks like he’s off to PNE anyway. As long as it’s not to MK I don’t really mind as he deserves a chance to prove himself at a higher level.

Don’t think he’d drop down a level.

Is £750k his release clause? Because if it is, MK are gambling a lot on getting promoted.

Kevin Van Veen returns as we sign him back from Northampton a year after selling him.

We are now one player away from filling the bench against Coventry, making big moves.

Yep, that’s the release clause if you believe the reports, not that we’ll ever know for sure.

He won’t be going to MK anyway, which is nice.

Just to be mischievous a second, perhaps MK bid the money knowing he wouldn’t go there, just to force the issue and accelerate his departure from the division? Knowing someone else would bid the same.

Andy Cannon signed 2 1/2 year deal for around £150k. Another versatile midfielder. Not seen anything of him, but I'll trust KJ. One rumour I heard was Sam Surridge who is currently on loan at Oldham. Fits our policy of getting younger players in to coach and improve. He's at Bournemouth so not far to travel.

Had a bid rejected for Brad Potts, supposedly seven figures, had one rejected in the summer too.

Never been impressed by him to be honest.

Now being rumoured McMahon is going to Crewe. Guess we’re back on the market for a RB.

I've not heard that one but I also can't see it. We may be letting both our loanee defenders go (though I'd retain RB Corey Whelan for the season) but I'm sure we're not gonna bring an RB in when we need a pacey forward and a holding midfielder more than anything. We already have Ng who starts there with Hunt and Nolan who can also fill in as backup for that position.

EDIT: Just seen he can also play holding midfield and with Green's injury and Whelan apparently going back to Liverpool this may make sense. Ng can also play holding midfield so it'll be interesting to see which one of them plays where now Green is out injured again.

I would never have classed McMahon as a holding midfielder, I can’t think of many examples if any that he played that position with us, he’s definitely a right back first and anywhere else he’d simply be filling in because there isn’t an alternative.

He did alright on the RW during the 15/16 season (?). He did manage something like 6/7 goals and 16 assists.

But yeah, his best days are now long gone, and playing him anywhere other than at RB would be criminal.

Tony McMahon ends up signing for us on loan until the end of the season.

We finally have a fit RB.

Hammill has been performing well in an absolute dog crap St. Mirren side. Would love to see him make a shock return here but he'll do a job for any League 1 side there is no doubt in my mind.

Few sources on twitter reckon we are George Thorne on loan from Derby. Great signing if he can stay fit.

What a cracking signing for league one. I remember him bein on loan as a 17 year old at Fratton Park in the Championship. Such a shame he's had two very lengthy injuries. Surprised a championship club hasnt come in for him on loan.

Aye. It's more getting him fit first nowadays though, he's never really got back up to speed here. Seems to have done ok for our under 23's, it'll be a great signing if you get him going... looked a world beater when we signed him in 2014. Will be keeping a close eye on his progress.
