Gives us much much more at left back than Potts does. We now have two fullbacks who are happy to attack, rather than just one.

I'd be amazed if we don't get some serious bids for Justin this month. Wasn't that long ago Luton fans on here had a debate about Justin being given a run in the team. Its quite obvious he has developed even more since taking Potts position. Much more so than if he remained on the bench. The thing is he can still improve. Lets hope we can turn down offers until the summer transfer period. I'm sure JJ would love to play for Luton in the championship should we get there. He is afterall one of our own!

He has improved massively in this run of games, playing in a confident side in a stable position has done him a world of good. I wasn’t a fan of shoe horning him into midfield as we did once or twice, playing him in his actual position has reaped huge rewards for both him and the club. Jones has managed the situation quite well I think to be honest, while we were doing well with Potts in there he kept him in, all the while telling JJ his time would come. When it has he has taken it and then he has kept faith with JJ with Potts back in contention. I think there is a place for both of them as a part of the squad though and I don’t doubt Potts will feature again this season.

Still think we are more likely to lose Stacey this window for some reason, probably because he was close to going before but we will see. If I were given a Hobsons choice of who I’d lose Stacey rather than JJ at this point.

Heard we're looking at Signing Josh Wright from Bradford - Not sure how true it is, but he was at our home game with Gateshead a month ago.

His time here is all but officially over thank God, even non league is surely too good for his ability/effort but somehow these sorts of players keep getting signed by clubs.

I don’t think we’d even entertain bids this month for anything under £3m each; the summer might be different.

Browsing twitter this morning we are being linked with Bryn Morris of Shrewsbury who has been on loan at Wycombe most of the season. May indicate that the Thorne loan might not be happening after the flurry of news about it last week as Morris seems to be of the same type to me.

As always though may be utter rubbish.

Looks like Sam Surridge could be on his way to Fratton Park. Alan Nixon has tweeted Bournemouth have recalled him and want to send him to a league one club, preferrably in the South.

I wonder if there’s a bit of a Clyne situation about this one with someone at Derby’s end not keeping their mouth shut.

I'm sure we've been linked with Surridge in the past. Would like to think we'd be in for him too if available.

Would be a great signing and we do have a good relationship with Bournemouth but if pompey are in for him don't think we would have much chance

We are in for Sam Surridge as are Pompey and Bradford that I know of. Pompey looks very likely destination. Pretty much guaranteed game time with us though looking at our striker situation.

A decent enough player but i wouldn't be too bothered if he doesn't come back as wasn't starting near the end of his loan deal as Ainsworth prefered Gape and Thompson in his position,he does score some stunning goals occaisionaly though.

Probably his agent as well trying to get him a championship club. Seems his best was under McClaren so he might end up at QPR or something.

George Thorne signs for Luton Town on loan until the end of the season.

Buzzing with that. Surprised he dropped down a level. Just got to keep him fit.

One of those where it could turn out to be signing of the season or we might realise after 10 mins of his debut that he has no knee cartilage left and he's a spent force.

If he's half the player he was pre injury he should be outstanding at this level and a perfect fit for what we want at the base of our diamond.

Always rated George Thorne in his early days at Derby, thought he might end up in the Premier League.

Shame injuries have destroyed his career, if he can keep fit that should be a good signing for Luton. It's a massive if though.

Really interested how this goes. As others have said he very well might be a spent force. Bit of a risk for us I think but if it works out it could reap big rewards

As above, Josh Wright, Joe Riley and Alex Jones have been told they can move on.

Kai Bruenker has now left by mutual consent to go back to Germany. Thankfully Hopkin is wading out the crap from the club. Our bench was very light in the last game so I can't see us taking our time regarding getting a couple in.

Anyone of those we might be after? Especially after Abbott joining,
Most likely Joe Riley of the three, was captain of Man Utd u23’s, a lightweight full back signed in the summer, wouldn’t surprise me if he was on silly wages/per his ability. Alex Jones, excellent finisher when fit which he never ever is but offers little else to the team if chances don’t come his way, a grade A crock. Josh Wright, grade A awful footballer, not worth even considering.

Ben Thompson recalled by Millwall. He's been up there with the best loan signings we've ever had, gutted he's gone and it'll be a serious mission to replace him..

Are they sending him back out on loan, or is he likely to feature for Millwall?

Unknown at the moment. The most recent chatter from their manager implies that they "missed him" and he'll be involved from now on, but who knows.. two weeks ago he was saying there's a decent chance he'll go back out on loan. Hopefully we get first dibs if he does!

Most of our players were signed on Abbotts watch, and Hopkin wants most out I think. So it could be any one, take all 3 of them if you want mate, we won't complain.

We're also linked with Surridge with just about everyone else.

Posh fans, McAnthony has suggested we've had a bid accepted for one of your players. Do you have anyone who's listed it might be? Or someone who isn't listed that you'd be willing to sell?

Fleetwood fans, Cian Bolger is interesting us apparently. Any views on him?

Cian Bolger I was impressed with in the past in his Southend days; I think he would fit into Lincoln’s style.
