I thought he was the best player on the pitch when he played against Cobblers last season as well, doesn't surprise me his next loan is in the division above. Should do well for you.
Yes, he was good against us as well and it is good to know it was not just a one-off.

Signed Jon Taylor who was at the Millers last season really surprised at that nobody picked up on it.

My opinion on Taylor is that he's really fast, hard working and gets himself in goal scoring opportunities at times. However his ball control is shocking and relies too much on his pace to beat players and his crossing isn't the best either, so basically technically poor.

He's not a championship player but he's good for this division and got some promotion pedigree behind him so overall its an alright signing.

We signed full back Aaron Lewis on a short term contract yesterday (announced today). Spent some time on loan at Doncaster last season apparently.

He'll provide back-up to Eardley.

Never really got a game for us so I can’t give you any feedback other than we preferred to play a right winger at full back instead of him

Oxford are close to signing striker Matty Taylor from Bristol City and winger Garath McCleary from Reading. Both were at our game yesterday.

Have Oxford come into some money? After the Woodburn loan, on the face of it some more decent additions to your squad.

Quality couple of signings on the face of it. Doesn't look like Taylor quite cut it in the Championship but has scored plenty at this level and still in his twenties. McCleary is a tad older but played plenty of games for Reading last season.

I'm not aware of a load of money, but there was a little bit there.

Suspect they'll be loans tbh.

The Woodburn loan is a favour to Robinson

Nice symmetry if McCleary returns to the club he started at

Can't believe it -- Next two home games Payne and then possibly Matty Taylor. The police will be busy.

Cracking signing Taylor is mind. Most of our fans would happily see him start every week, always does very well from the bench.

Poor bloke been stitched up by this transfer window.

Fallen even further down the pecking order at your place and now going to be tossing it in League One rather than at one of the Championship clubs that were interested.

Oxford born though, and started out at us - wonder if that has stood us in good stead (assuming it does go through)?

Well our assistant manager has just said don't read into him being at your game too much, he was given a few days off and remains a Bristol City player.

We sold Gavin Whyte for a claimed £2.5m+ add ons to Cardiff + a sell on from Kemar Roofe's transfer to Anderlecht of £200k-£300k.

The wage bill has actually gone down if comments by the club are accurate.

Edit: I'll only believe that Matty Taylor is signing for us when it is official based on the previous handshake scenario. :)

Tbh, Robinson was saying similar about Gavin Whyte and then he went to Cardiff. Those who have been accurate on the forum with our transfers so far still believe it is on but negotiations are ongoing, supposedly over whether permanent or a loan. I haven't a clue one way or the other though but I doubt he would have been allowed that photo situation by Bristol City without permission which contradicts the BC Asst manager's comments.

Kenny Jacket has been watching Cameron Brannagan from Oxford. He was there last night. Interesting as we are trying to offload Bryn Morris. Still got some cash left over from Clarke and Lowe sale

Best be a 7-figure sum then!

He definately the type of player we've been after. Young with a potential to improve and either move with us or we sell for a decent sum. We've done that with Harness, spending over £1million on him, so I can't see that being an issue. Could all be a load of rubbish, but we don't play Oxford or Peterborough for a while so we aren't scouting the team

If he goes anywhere it will be straight to the Championship and I doubt we'd sell to a L1 rival anyway or that he'd agitate for a move to make it happen. And the cost would be £3.5m+ add ons minimum (imo) as we have just sold Gavin Whyte for over £2.5m and received money from the sell on for Kemar Roofe.

If he thinks he can get to the Championship with us, then he'll leave. How much of that money do you think will be available? You may not need to sell, but neither did we. If you make a decent profit and allows you to buy a decent forward, winger, replacement for Nelson then I can't see £1.5m to £2m being turned down.

No chance on £1.5m-£2m when we have just got in nearly £3m so don't need the cash. Gavin Whyte wasn't going until our price was met.

We are apparently close to him signing a new contract as Rob Dickie did. At this point in the season, he has as much chance of getting into the Championship with us than you.

And we already have Curtis Nelson's replacement in man mountain Elliott Moore who we signed from Leicester.

Sky Sports News today claiming that Lincoln City have signed our reserve keeper Ollie Battersby on loan, which I thought seemed strange so I checked and he’s actually gone on loan to Lincoln United.
Top notch journalism again from Sky.

Josh Rees the latest to leave us after mutually agreeing to terminate his contract.

Expect to see him rock up at Wimbledon before tea time.

Nathan Thompson signed for Peterborough. He left us as he wanted to go to the championship, not really worked out for him and probably earning alot less than he would if he'd have negotiated a new contract. Great signing for Peterborough.
