That's both of the Thompson brothers with new clubs. Nathan signs for Peterborough and brother Louis signs on loan for Shrewsbury.

I rate them both, but I think Louis is the better player.

Always felt that Nathan was a far better player from whenever I watched the pair of them.

Ethan Hamilton signed on loan from Man United seems that’s a very good signing going on what Rochdale fans say

We've also signed Sean Goss from QPR on a 2yr deal today. Never heard of him before tbf but had a loan spell with Glasgow Rangers and was in the same Man Utd youth team as 2 of our other players (Ro-Shaun Williams and donald Love)

If he thinks he can get to the Championship with us, then he'll leave. How much of that money do you think will be available? You may not need to sell, but neither did we. If you make a decent profit and allows you to buy a decent forward, winger, replacement for Nelson then I can't see £1.5m to £2m being turned down.

KJ’s appearance at the Kassam was mentioned on Radio Oxford - Jerome Sale (commentator) is well versed in internal dealings and he sounded perplexed as to the reason of KJ’s reason for scouting the game. I’d gather from that there isn’t anything in it.

If he goes anywhere, it’ll be the end of the season and to a Championship side. It’s also worth noting he’s very happy at the club.

Nathan Thompson gambled on landing a championship club but it looks like his reputation maybe wasn't what he and his agent thought! I'd love to know whether there's much difference between the Peterborough contract and the one we offered at the end of last season?

Still, he was good for us the last two years and is an excellent signing for 'Boro. He will definitely stiffen up the defence and can put a great cross in. Oh, and his shithousery is legendary.

This one is for Gassy, rumours up our way is that we are trying to sign Clarke-Harris from you. Anything from your end?

Confirmed we've signed Matty Taylor on a season loan. Very happy with that.

George Thorne has signed on loan from Derby until January as well. I guess a chance to have a look for both parties but it is an area we have plenty of players especially with Shandon Baptiste back from long term injury.

Hopefully we do a deal to sign Garath McCleary (or another winger) as well as we need a winger after Malachi Napa's injury. Somebody on our forum, who has a decent track record on signings reckons a deal is done for McCleary, but I wouldn't know one way or the other so hopefully staggering them out across the day.

If that happened then we'd have had a good transfer window on paper even with losing Curtis Nelson and Gavin Whyte.

Why have three goalies when you can sign a fourth? Jay Lynch, formerly of Fylde, Salford and a couple of games for Accy has signed on a two-year deal.

I expect one or both of Josh Lillis and Brad Wade to be loaned out - or in the case of Josh L, transfered to a club who needs a solid, competent keeper who has the odd 2-3 game error-prone spell.

Resigned Will Keane for the season.

He joins new signings Anthony Georgiu from Spurs (loan) and Kane Vincent Young from Peterborough.

That's us done for this window I think.

Good transferwindow for us now. Keep players fit and we'll be fine

Ben Coker signed.

Wasn't supposed to happen until next week but Harry Anderson had him plastered all over his Instagram story last night, which gave the game away! Even though it's been a poorly kept secret anyway to be fair. A question of when rather than if.

I'll be very interested to see how he is after his 2nd major injury. Before his 1st major lay off he was the best left back in this division and was constantly scouted by top end championship clubs.
Whilst still decent he was nowhere near the same player on his return and no longer had any championship clubs wanting to even come and watch him.
Southend have kinda got away with one in regards to him turning our contract offer down at the start of last season which was rumoured to make him our highest paid player.
I think the Ben Coker of old will never be seen again but I hope he can get back to the levels of post 1st major injury. If he does you'll have a decent player.

No, the other one! It was a bad leg break, which at the time was just meant to be standard fix but ended up having complications and he barely played during the season (happened pre-season).

Ah right. I only ask because we have Neal Eardley at RB who did both of his ACL's in quick succession and we've managed to get him on the pitch every week.

We seem to take a couple of gambles a season on either injured players under DC and so far, touch wood, we've not really been stung too badly that I can remember.

As long as you haven't given him too much money, or a long contract, then he's well worth a gamble. He never had any competition at Southend either so if Lincoln's current left backs are decent and he has to fight for a place, all the better.

With Eardley the club have built up the contract length as proved his fitness.
Rumour going round Coker won't be able to play until at least October.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it was later than October. He ruptured about 3 ligaments in his knee. Terrible injury

He apparently got some minutes when we played Hull in a behind closed doors game at the beginning of August so he can't be too far off, although we were really careful with O'Connor who came to us at a very similar stage with his injury so I doubt he'll be risked any time soon.

Couple of our younger lads, who have been on the bench so far this season, have gone out on loan, so that'd suggest we might be in for a signing or two before the deadline next week.

Pretty sure Josh Ginnelly will end up on loan in this league before it closes, shitpool were linked earlier in the summer.

Sounds like we have signed centre back Adam Thompson from Bury and winger Chiedozie Ogbene from Brentford.
Both have history with Rob Scott our recruitment guy so seems to make sense.
Any good Bury/Bees fans?

Olly Lee of Hearts (formally Luton) played in a training game for us today against Brighton - apparently has a few League One offers but if he's turning out for us you'd hope we'd be in pole position for him.

We had Ogbene last season. VERY quick but maybe not the best technically. To be fair, he was only given 4 or 5 starts and he did start to look better come the end of his loan spell.

He’s quite highly thought of at Brentford so could well be a decent signing....

We've brought Callum Connolly in on loan from Everton. Made 35 appearances in the Championship last season for Wigan and Bolton. Current England U21 international as well.
