And no Joe, no one has rated Willo ever. When we got promoted we had Pope and Hughesy up top. Williamson is League Two at very best, Sunday League at worst

Well, that's not true. I can't be bothered to go back through years of old forum posts to prove a fairly pointless statement though I'm afraid, so we'll have to agree to disagree.

In our promotion season we started with Dodds just behind Pope and then signed Hughes and went Hughes and Pope with Willo usually an impact sub. At Gills away he scuffed a one on one wide with just the keeper to beat which would of wrapped the game up 3-1 that's the type of player he is. Gets into great positions but more often than not balls it up. When we first got him he was one with potential and the hope he'd develop but he has stood still and is still the raw league two striker we signed four years ago.

If you think he's rated read the threads on OVF.

Judging by what Colclough's Dad has put on Twitter he ain't signing for the club again.

If Colclough does so, then 3 Academy products in the last 3 years will have fucked us over, and two have an immense dislike of that useless twat we have in charge.

Least all the players liked Dario...

I've been on OVF before. It's hilarious, but it's hardly an expert eye on footballing matters. Some proper wronguns seem to post on there.

Well if you want us to tell you he's highly rated or something to feel better we can but to try and tell Vale fans were lying about our opinions on him is a little silly. Of course we don't want you to change your mind on signing him though so he does have a bit of Henry about him ;)

It's a fan forum, I suspect every other football clubs forum has some oddballs on there.

Personally, I thought Williamson had potential when he first joined (and that was in League Two). The problem is that he hasn't got any better and there's only so long that you can keep saying that a player has potential. At some point they need to step up and show it and unfortunately, at 26, Ben hasn't done that and I very much doubt he ever will.

Just looked at his stats for us and they make worse reading than I thought.

Appearances: 149
Goals: 21

We need to get rid of Davis fast. Waters, Clayton, Colclough, Phillips, Grant etc all had a huge dislike of the twat and many more I'm sure hold that same sentiment. Unfortunately he looks like he has a job for life, absolute fuckwit.

Did they? I would bet money that just isn't true. I'd say any dissenters who didn't like Dario were just respectful of his stature and achievements, so didn't create a scene or force their way out like Clayton did. But no way in the 25 odd years he spent as manager at the club did he not wind up a number of players.

Colclough would be even more ill advised than Clayton to try and force his way out though. Clayton had his England youth team appearances and several high profile goals(including the ones against Southend in the play offs and the JPT final, both on Sky).

Scanning through his Dads twitter, he seems to have deleted the post above, unless I can't find it. Looking at some of his previous tweets, it seems his reputation is well deserved. The guy looks like a colossal bell end and is clearly thick as pig shit. If he wants to help force his son out of the club(and I'm not saying Ryan doesn't want out too perhaps), then good luck finding a new club willing to stump up the transfer fee we'll demand. No club, like with Clayton, will risk a tribunal either.

If he stays, then great. His dad needs to shut up, stop bad mouthing the club and just support his son. If he goes, then I genuinely mean good riddance. Wether the club did badly handle his injury and not properly support him through some of his issues is one thing, but the fact is, he got arrested twice and admitted resisting arrest to the extent that he had to get tasered. Even from a biased point of view, staying at the Alex is the best choice for him. What does Ryan owe the Alex? Everything! They trained him, they believed in him, they gave him a scholarship, they gave him a professional contract, they gave him his debut, they publicly stood by him through his legal problems. Yes, thats a biased viewpoint, but its no less accurate. At least with Clayton, you could say his goals in L2 really did help us get promoted and he also played a part in helping us win the JPT. Colclough has achieved nothing in the game.

I'm really not bothered if he leaves, with his knob head father advising him, he'll sooner end up like Gary Roberts than achieve anything significant in the game.

I think the fact that James Collins is picking up more first team responsibilities next season shows the club are starting to prepare for the time when they might have to sack Davis. Another start like the one we had last season and I can see the club either asking Davis to walk or sacking him and giving the gig to Collins on a caretaker basis.

Definitely getting myself in an argument with him in the coming days. Won't be long til he tweets some more shit.

A lad I work with is friends with Colclough and said a couple of weeks ago that he'd said he wouldn't be re-signing for you as your only offering him about £800 pw.

Mark Cullen and Sanmi Odelusi expected over the next couple of days.

No idea whether either are any good.

Not many Luton fans will be overly sad to see Cullen leave.

I like him well enough, but he's pretty average at League Two level. I'm extremely skeptical of his ability to step up and deliver. I doubt he will look out of place or anything, but I would be mildly surprised if he managed double figures in goals. Very, very surprised if he managed 15. Positively staggered if he ever scores 20 goals at League One level.

Give him chances in the 18 yard box and he will score goals. He's a very decent finisher. The problem is, he's not at all quick so he almost never manages to spring the offside trap from deep (on the rare occasions he does he will score, but I can only think of twice he managed it vs League Two defenders this season). He's also got absolutely zero dribbling skill so you can't give the ball to him near the box and hope for him to beat a defender and get a shot in (I'm not exaggerating here, he absolutely cannot beat defenders one on one). He's good with his head, but he's a midget; he competes very well for his size, but he isn't going to out jump many centre halves in an even battle.

Consequently, for him to score goals he needs consistently perfect service from the rest of the team and it all needs to be inside the penalty area. Get lots of fast players getting to the byline and pulling the ball back to the edge of the six yard box (low crosses essential) and he will get you goals. Just don't expect him to contribute in any other meaningful way.

Also, play 4-4-2. He's worthless in a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 as he is anything but a lone front man, whilst his lack of pace and skill make him very pedestrian as a wide forward.

Some rumours on our forum that Vukic will be our first signing. Would love it but don't see it being true.

Totally believable. Don't get what Colclough has done to think he's worth huge money, bar a man of the match performance vs Tranmere in 2013-14 and two fantastic goals vs Sheffield United and Coventry he has achieved fuck all for this football club. He was unlucky with injury but the club stood by him when he was arrested three times and made to stand trial twice. Be a terrible shame if he left the club but it's certain he won't re-sign.

The question is, who would even sign him?

Him and Billy Clarke the players we've put bids in for?

Think you'd be better off with Clarke, I was impressed with him on the final day of the season, good movement and can finish. Obviously had a lot of injury troubles in the past else he'd probably be at a higher level by now.

Ajose is far too frustrating and I think League One is his level.
