Kayode Odejayi and Kevin Ellison.

For fucks sake. I didn't realise we were building a mid-table Conference side.

If that's the sort of player we end up signing this summer I think i'll have a tenner on us getting relegated.

Kasim has apparently said he wants away from us so Championship clubs form an orderly queue.
Where'd you hear this?

Don't worry - it won't happen. If we match his wage demand, I find it hard to believe that Burton Albion would. Also - he's been attracting a lot of Championship interest, so the idea of him going to a newly promoted L1 side is strange really.

For some odd reason I thought JET had already signed for Birmingham...

he's been linked with birmingham and qpr already, and now burton. i think he wants to be back in london, but if he's going to improve any more then he needs to be playing regularly and he wont get that at qpr

Looks like another Vale striker on the way out. Can only assume it's Willo which would be great for us as he's pants! A rumour on our forums of Gills but can't see why any league one side would want him!

Williams has supposedly had a medical here today, I do hope so.

Local press reported now reporting that Williamson is set to join Gillingham. Five thousand car engines in Burslem simultaneously start up ready to drive him there!

The thing with Andy Williams is that despite his record this season, he just isn't that good. He had a purple patch where everything he touched just managed to go in the net, but once that patch was over, he was back to barn door Andy we knew all too well.

He finished 4th choice striker by the time the playoffs arrived, was behind in the pecking order to someone who was gracing the evo stik league just months earlier.

Port Vale striker Ben Williamson is set to move back south with Gillingham favourites to sign him.

Odd one. I guess as a fourth choice forward he fits the bill. Might not be prolific but then again Marquis was rated as shite by his previous clubs' fans as well.

Knowing our luck he will go there and score 20 goals a season.

He's always annoyed me. He's got pace but his finishing is woeful at times. If he could finish he'd be a top striker.

Millwall have had a second bid turned down for James Hanson. What we value him at is anyone's guess, really.

I'm loosing count of the players we are being linked with but here goes, Florent Cuvelier from Sheffield United, he has already stated he wants to sign and lives 10 minutes from the Pirelli stadium, Kallum Higginbotham from Partick Thistle looks very likely, Nathaniel Mendez Laing from Peterborough looks very likely too, he was with assistant manager David Oldfield when he was there, Calum Butcher from Dundee United is now being strongly linked with us and we are according to the local press in for Jay Emmanual Thomas and still interested in bringing in Izale Mcleod.
We have also been linked with a couple of Eredivisie players, that may happen later when we have our training camp over there and a couple of friendlies. They can't all come off but certainly JFH is looking at increasing our attacking options.
Callum Reilly from Birmingham City is the only confirmed signing so far.

Yes he was. Both left at the end of that season.
I think this is a great signing for both parties. SEB was knocked back by his final season in the PL when he just was out of his depth, and then his injuries.
I know people question his fitness but he's still only 29 and even if used for part of the game, I reckon he'll be lethal against L1 opposition. He's still very fondly remembered at Wolves and many reckon he could have done a lot of good for us the season after he left. If we play Chesterfield in the cup this season, he would get a standing ovation at Molineux.

I'm hoping, if we can keep him fit, to get 15-20 goals out of Ebanks-Blake. He looks the kind of player to me who doesn't need too many invitations, so if we can get some good ammo into him he's guaranteed goals. Should be a good Doyle replacement

He's not going to score 20 thought is he?

He is absolutely shocking

So, to recap then Vale fans, if we were to sign Williamson, would you be disappointed to see him go?
And be honest now.

I seem to recall Vale fans rating Williamson when we were fighting it out at the top of League Two, so I take their comments now with a pinch of salt. He's physically a useful asset, and if he chips in with 6-10 goals a season as a fourth choice I'll take that. Not a frontline striker like Vale would be using him as they have bugger all up front, but an option off the bench he'll be better than having an untried kid.

Our team will be fast as anything next season if nothing else!

I would drive him to Kent. I was genuinely appalled they offered him a new contract

And no Joe, no one has rated Willo ever. When we got promoted we had Pope and Hughesy up top. Williamson is League Two at very best, Sunday League at worst

In league two he was seen as having potential but if you look at our forums over the past two seasons and the fury of the fan base when Page offered him a new deal we will be glad to get rid. Part of the deadwood we need out! If your playing him forth choice he won't get 6-10 goals as he didn't make double figures playing 40 plus games! (3 of them against Hartlepool in cup).

Tudgay and Stokes are ready to sign contract extensions and we're still in talks with Reda Johnson.

Mowbray has said that he's also ready to sign 1 or 2 players very soon.

How very exciting.

That's very disrespectful to Mani Diserererereferererefvevevee, the true Doyle replacement.

Where are you getting your fucking money from? No fair
We've always been quite a well off club but Swann isn't afraid to invest money unlike Wharton was.

Plus, I don't think any of these signings will be on massive wages and with the players that left us it will almost equal itself out.

Brown met with 2 of main targets yesterday. No names but 3 of 4 clubs interested in both - a striker and an attacking midfielder (PLEASE DO NOT BE JJOT!)
