Dan Nlundulu seems an interesting loan signing. It's unusual for an academy player to get to 22 without a loan move and then make one having played 12 times in the PL the previous season. His profile would suggest he'll be in competition with Hopper for the lone striker role.

Zak Elbouzedi completed his move to AIK yesterday, which is a very good move for him. Their manager knows him from his RIO U19 times by the looks of it.

In other news, we seem to be, finally, closing in on a GK whilst a defender has also been mooted as close.

MApp loved this sort of signing with us and they always came off. We signed the likes of Joe Rothwell, Kemar Roofe, Conor McAleny etc at a similar age without having played many senior games from clubs higher up the pyramid and all were excellent.

His loan signings in particular have been on the whole excellent and he has helped to improve them which helps in getting those players into the building.

Yep, the player recruitment since MA and co came in has generally been excellent, hopefully any loans and permanents will continue that run again this season.

he was highly rated at one point wasn’t he? What’s gone wrong? I’d have him at Wednesday over the 2 we’ve got at the minute.

I'd pinpoint the problem to him being absolutely shit.

He's Paddy Kenny level of fitness without the ability, can't get off his line quick enough and can't get down to low shots. He's an embarrassment at Championship level.

Sunderland linked with Joe Rafferty, talentless trier, it saddens me whenever he gets a run out.

Tom Lowery is out of contract next summer. Seems Artell is refusing to play him until he signs a contract extension. He's not played yet this season. He was involved in the Wales training camp this summer before the Euros. Hes small in size but a very big player for us, so hopefully its resolved pretty quickly.

I'm in the minority here but I'd cash in on him. He's injury prone to a degree and I can't see him signing a new deal. So we may as well cut our losses. Cracking player and I like him but I really don't think we'll miss him if he leaves.

You can only cash in if someone is willing to pay a fee
The are better players out there available out of contract.
Your manager needs to build bridges and get one last season out of him

Crooks having a medical at Boro. No further offers from Town since signing Fraser.

Jack Hunt apparently in talks to come back after a few years with Bristol City.

I liked him last time, better going forward than defending but he’s an upgrade on Palmer.

An absolutely tiny minority. Our midfield is almost none existent when he's not there (or if he has a poor game).

Anyway, a little birdy tells me he will be signing a new deal.

Not surprised, he wasn’t that great whilst on loan here.
I think as Cowley knew him he'd let him bulk up the squad for pre season. Really got to get going on these transfers with 3 weeks to go. Still can't fill an 18 man squad and playing a 4231, 433 we can't fill a first 11 with only 2 central midfielders and no number 10

We had tonnes of trialists here at the beginning of pre-seasons under DC just to pad the squad out for two or three weeks. Hesketh only signed here because we needed numbers and he was effectively a free loan.

Strong rumours that we will be taking Coventry's LB Brandon Mason on loan to give Lee Brown some competition. At least it's another player I suppose.

Looks like Sean Clare is off to Charlton. I imagine this has only materialised in the last few days as he played much of the game against Oxford City.

The experiment of playing him at right back was horrible. However when the ball is at his feet he is lightening fast and glides past players with ease. He looks like a winger to me, however played in the holding role for Burton on loan.

Happenings at OUFC right now are… Odd.
