Gillingham fans what’s Jamie Cumming like? We’re about to announce him
Was our player of the season up to now in my opinion, not that it takes an awful lot to stand out with our bunch. And yes, we are fucked.

Cambridge fans, can Jack Iredale play LCB or is he exclusively a LWB? There are rumours up our end that he's on the radar should either Rotherham recall Curtis Tilt and/or Tom Pearce not sign a new contract.

Think he's played centre back quite a bit this season.

We've definitely had interest in him but seems we might be trying to bring in Jake Bidwell as our first choice target.

Rumour here is that you've been looking at Pearce as well. He walks in six months so we've told him make a decision now to extend or not. One of those that probably ticks all the analytic/scout boxes as he gets linked with other clubs every window.

Interesting, heard the name but that's about it.

Confirmed Paul Downing loan to Rochdale for the remaining six months of his contract.

It was claimed (by us, admittedly) to be a real coup when we signed him on a free from Blackburn back in the summer of 2019. The lucrative three year deal turned into a real albatross for the club when it soon became clear that his abilities had fallen off a cliff. Nice bloke though and a real professional apparently. Hope it works out for there.

Arsenal tyro Miguel Azeez looks to be heading back to the Gunners at his own request. Didn't really happen for him. Not sure league one is the place for him to show his undoubted qualities.

Underwhelming keeper signing for us, just because the kid is from City Evatt will think he's Ederson Jr when in reality he's the second worst keeper in the league statistically. Can see us going down at this rate, it's all good signing potential like Morley & Trafford but we must be the least experience team in the league absolutely no leaders in the squad who refuse to do any of the ugly side of football just primed for teams to bully us. Hopefully we address it in the next week or so otherwise we'll probably pay for it.

Fleetwood, with already having one of the worst defences in the league, have signed Nsiala from Ipswich, which can't help their cause? He's a liability at the back whenever I've seen him play.

He must have something about him that we never see against us because he's been around L1 level a number of years now
We need bolstering in defense with massive injuries so this is welcome. I never pass judgement on anybody till I,'ve seen them in action a good few times. He'll have a good baptism on Saturday - we are playing the Millers

He’s currently playing LCB at the moment due to injuries and has been superb. He’s usually a LB but can also play LWB and LM.

He’s a top player and I think we’ll lose him in the summer but no chance we’ll let him go in Jan unless a crazy bid comes in.

You have more faith than me SVH! I suspect if anyone waves a crisp tenner at us we'll let them pick which player they want.

But yeah, Iredale is awesome - very athletic and can play just about anywhere.

Kane Hemmings capable of doing it in League 2? We have singed him from Burton for an undisclosed fee on a 2.5 year deal.
Great signing for you. League 1 striker never mind league 2. He will get you 15 a season.
I hope Jimmy knows what he is doing, because Lewis moult is injury prone if we are banking on him for goals.

Big call by Evatt after Billy the fish last season. Seems his wages are being covered by City and as a 19 year old will not take a place in the squad. Bids in for Dempsey and another Striker. Still need two Bastards or we are going to struggle.

Rumour has it we’ve had a bid of around £110,000 accepted by Gills for Dempsey.
Yeah, I saw that.
A fraction of his worth but his contract is up in a few months so it’s a case of take what you can.
Hope Scally has negotiated some decent sell on clauses.
If/when he joins you have got yourself a very good player.
Football sucks right now.

Who you beat comfortably at NYS, plus don't forget we've never won at Highbury.

Owen Dale permanent transfer to Blackpool has been confirmed. Kayne Ramsay has also been recalled by Southampton, apparantly going back out on loan to Ross County.

Leaves us really needing signings especially at full back with only one fit full back being Travis Johnson who himself has only played a handful of games

I think those days are behind us.

I'm not saying we definitely won't sell in this window but he's so important to us staying up would we accept £100k now? I don't think we would. If someone comes in with a silly offer then we'll be tempted but I don't think any will.

With any luck though this means we’re soon sending Josh Martin/Troy Parrott back and/or trying to make Robson and Kioso permanent.
Apparently our recall option on Kioso expires in 4 days and he’s been back in to train with us last week. In Jones interview yesterday he sounded not too happy about him being on the bench for your midweek game. Sounds like he drove up to Milton Keynes expecting him to play only to see he was on the bench so he was a bit peeved at that and said if he’s not going to play we may as well recall him anyway!

I think we are genuinely undecided whether to recall him or not, it’s clear Jones doesn’t rate him as highly as our current fullback James Bree but we have a mad run of games coming up as we catch up on postponed fixtures I could definitely see him being useful.

And therein stands the whole trouble with loanees. You almost have another manager telling your manager who he should play. I accept that you send loanees out to get match practice but that doesn't mean they are played every week, especially when nwe have as many as we do.

That isn't a dig at Luton, just an observation about the whole loans system.

Curtis Tilt recalled from Wigan presumably to make them offer a fee if they are serious about wanting him.

I would be surprised if he played for us because it would mean we can't loan hime to another team.

Plus Wood, Ihiekwe, Harding and Edmunds Green would all be in front of him.

This website loves us. Phil Parkinson was at the MK Dons v Wimbledon match so this rumour makes sense. Been linked with Woodyard before now as well.

Yeah I think that comment was typical Jones saying something in a fit of irritation rather than serious tbh. He often says things without thinking. Shoe on the other foot and we had a loanee who hadn’t been training with us all week due to being at their parent club I guarantee they wouldn’t play in the subsequent game either!

He certainly looked less than a safe pair of hands, more like a cat on a hot tin roof, in our game up at Accrington earlier this season.

That is precisely what Lowe said reflecting on last season. Our defence imploded and he probably had to play some of them Even when they were shipping goals. This year we have had fewer and much better loans, one one of those was with a mind to signing. But to contradict myself, what we have not been able to do is send out enough of our youngsters out on loan insisting they play In L2 or NL
