Yeah I think that comment was typical Jones saying something in a fit of irritation rather than serious tbh. He often says things without thinking. Shoe on the other foot and we had a loanee who hadn’t been training with us all week due to being at their parent club I guarantee they wouldn’t play in the subsequent game either!

Yep I saw Kioso had said something about him being happy “having a manager who supports him” which i might just be reading into a bit too much but felt like a subtle comment on his situation here.

Not entirely sure why but pretty obvious Jones doesn’t rate him really and I think he will be gone in the summer. Just whether he thinks we need the help during the remainder of this season as we only have Bree as a recognised right back and don’t think he can be expected to play every game. For what it’s worth I doubt he will be recalled

Bonne confirmed to remain with us for the rest of the season, he's signed a new loan deal with us (it was already a season long loan with a Jan recall). By the sounds of it, we've dug deeper into our pockets to provide an increased loan fee. QPR had interest from elsewhere so it makes sense that we've had to do this.

Still trying to find a way of keeping Walton from Brighton, they've activated a recall clause (he can still play tomorrow regardless), to apply pressure. He's only got 6 months to run on his contract so they are piling on the pressure for us to buy him outright right now, or risk losing him.

A L1 club have had a bid accepted for Graeme Shinnie at Derby and the strong rumour is that it's us. We tried to sign him under Cook, so Richardson will know all about him. Would be very happy with that if true, he'd replace Cousins in midfield who is out long term. A bonus as well to take one from Derby, who had no qualms in scavenging us when we were in admin.

We've signed centre-half Hayden Carter on loan from Blackburn. We seem committed to a 3-4-1-2 formation so he'll slot in the 3 at the back. Desperately need a striker though. Goals have really dried up.

We're going to have to sign permanently soon, we've only for one more loan space left? Numbers wise we probably don't need a midfielder but we do need a different kind of midfield, someone to sit and break play up because we can't rely on Bridcutt being fit. Most of our midfielders are the same, technical, lightweight types.

That said, if he's back in 3 or 4 weeks then I'm guessing Appleton would rather run that risk until the end of the season and sort then.

He's on £13,000 a week at Brighton and Ipswich are offering more than us. We aren't paying that for a position we don't really need to strengthen. Sluga is a Croatian international and is on our bench whilst Shea is in possession of the gloves.

I won't miss him and I think that's good for all parties. There's a player in there somewhere and he tore us apart in Pre Season a couple of years ago, but after Russell Martin fucked off he never got a chance to show his talents in a system that didn't suit him.

Would love Walker back here, he'd have thrived under Appleton and the way we set-up, presuming we don't have the ££££ for him. Not sure about Marquis but is a bit of a replacement for Hopper, nice that the Cowley's will continue to pay a portion of his wages.

I see one of your local press is saying we are going to recall Kioso now too. We lost a centre half on Saturday to injury and Bree has literally played every minute this season with no rest so makes sense from a pure playing perspective, especially as we are playing Saturday/midweek for the next few months to catch up on missed games. Whether Jones actually rates him and whether Kioso/Jones actually like each other is another matter though.
