Jamal Blackman signed on a 1 year deal! Finally…Pretty happy with that.
Not that he will be at Exeter, but I'm sure I read once that he was on absolutely shit loads when he was at Chelsea. You have to think that the wage has meant that his career has been really nomadic because why would he give it up (I'm not blaming him btw).

Just looking at Wiki and he's not had more than a season at a single club, and he's pushing 30.

Yeah when he was linked with us the only thing I was a bit unsure of was at his age he’s had a load of clubs and not actually played that many games outside of when he was at Wycombe and Sheff U. Good signing for Exeter though I reckon, clearly a reason so many good clubs have brought him in.

We had Jamal Blackman on loan and he was very decent.
Seemed to be signed with Chelsea for a long old time without ever making a 1st team appearance.

Forrester looked in the limited time he was actually fit a good player, but definitely seems to be injured a lot especially for a 21 year old.

We’re announcing another signing at 4pm. You wait weeks for one and now it’s 2 in 2 hours!

Signed centre midfielder Kegs Chauke on a season long loan from Southampton. He’s been training with us for a couple of weeks and he’s looked pretty good in the friendlies he’s featured in.

That’s our midfield pretty much sorted, along with the ‘keeper position. Hopefully we’ll add to the attacking ranks soon.

A good day so far

Confirmed that we've signed Josh Murphy on a 2 year deal.

Got to think that’s pretty much the defence sorted, maybe Hussey moving on. Apparently Small is a beast on Football Manager, hopefully he can also be at the real thing.

He should be ridiculous at this level if he finds his old self. There was obviously a big underlying fitness and mental issue with us. That rarely gets turned around but he's clearly worth a punt.

A lot of our fans seem to be buzzing on this lad, never heard of him myself but seems to be rated massively.

Time for Karl Robinson and our in house Psychotherapist, Gary Bloom, to do their thing.

We spent 4 years down here not too long back, it's wank.

The Championship jump is big.

Singing Michael Morrison as back CB. Released from Reading. Also picture of a player having his official photos taken is going around. Rumours are it's Aaron Collins, but no idea.

Quite a few whispers going around that we’re signing Jay Stansfield on loan from Fulham. He’s the son of Adam Stansfield, our old striker, who died of bowel cancer in 2010.

He came through our academy but went to Fulham a few years ago, which was understandable as he had the opportunity to make his own name elsewhere. So for that reason I’m surprised he’d come here as he’ll have some added pressure on his shoulders.

He’s done really well at Fulham and scored loads in their u18s. He’s made a few first team appearances too plus scored in the league cup, so he’d be a welcomed addition to our front line.

Sam Winnall currently on trial with Burton and looking like he might sign.

If I’m honest I’m staggered he’s found a club willing to give him an opportunity. I half expected him to disappear from football altogether.

He comes across as being a lovely guy. That being said he’s not remotely capable of playing at this level and hasn’t for some time. The player that was at Barnsley is long gone.

Must admit I'd not heard of Thierry Small but he is very highly thought of and was once on the radar of Man United. Ancelotti was also glowing in his praise of him and he looks physically capable for a young lad. Excited about this one.

All I know is when we announced it there were a lot of Everton fans flooding our Twitter account posting all kinds of very bitter comments so not sure what’s gone on there but you don’t tend to do that for players you’re not bothered about. Only a young lad so just got to make sure we don’t put too much on him and help him along at a steady pace.

Mostly centred on him leaving their academy for Southamptons as he thought he was too big for them / should be playing in the first team and now “ending up at Port Vale”.

Think now we need two forwards and then a keeper and will be pretty happy with what we’ve got. Should find out about Wilson’s injury status tomorrow as well as he is doing a Q&A at the supporters club.

Two forwards is a must and a goalkeeper.

Other than that I imagine Rory Holden will sign, although if Lowery is linked maybe we still want a midfielder or two!

I think that Lowery one is a red herring to be honest. Wrexham have been linked with him for ages and they would just be willing to go to a point with wages we simply would not or should not try to match.

Holden I reckon is as good as signed already. DC was a huge fan of his at Walsall and to be fair he’s the only one of their players I’d have wanted him to bring with him when he joined us.
