I reckon Sean Maguire will be heading out on loan to someone in this league (or SPL maybe). Out of contract in the summer.

Jamille Matt’s move to Walsall now confirmed. Sad to see him go been great for us on and off the pitch, and obviously was our title winning captain. Bit of a shame we didn’t give him a decent send off what with what went on after the Burton game, but there you go.

In other news we also loaned Armani Little to Wimbledon for the rest of the season yesterday, it’s not worked out for him here.

Looking jealously at all these signings happening. We've had 2 outs :

Daryl Horgan (winger) gone to Stevenage on loan, he's out of contract in the summer so I suspect that's the last we'll see of him. Not a bad player but doesn't really fit into our setup and is likely on Championship wages, so not worth keeping

Ali Al-Hamadi (CF) to AFC Wimbledon on a permanent - right move, never looked like he was going to cut it.

Ainsworth has said that it matters more to keep the players we have (and especially Anis Mehmeti our leading scorer) than to make new acquisitions, but that funding is available and we may look to have "1 or 2" coming in. But I wouldn't bank on it.

Can definitely relate on that one. Had two outgoings of Hall and Walker (both good players but I think their ceiling is more very good L2). Beyond that nothing. One of those fake rumours accounts linked us to Ethan Bristow at Tranmere and while it’s true to say we do need more on the lefthand side unsurprisingly it has come to nothing.

I reckon if in fact we do anything it will be a couple of loans at the back end of the window then can set about upgrading the squad next summer. Perfectly content with that but it does look a boring one for us.

Pleased with this should be good for us at this level.

Confirmed where? Some reports saying he went to have a look at Derby today?

Really? I have no doubts we would be asking about him since he's been hands down the best player we've come up against this season - serious, serious talent. He's absolutely lightening and we are in the market for loan players.

I'd assume he wouldn't be short of takers in the Championship, who would be willing to pony up handsome loan fees though.

Yeah just what I’ve seen. Looks an unreal talent. Hopefully our relationship with and proximity to city gives us an edge but don’t think it’s anywhere near getting done

You signed Liam Delap yesterday according to Masi.
No i did not, i stated that it would not surprise me if we was looking at him......This kid looks another level
No surprise That Man City and Liverpool are trusting us with the cream of there young talent, but its not the way i want the club to go forward......Start of being a feeder club

Yeah, he would be ridiculous at this level. He reminded me of Michal Antonio when he was at Forest, albeit not as strong but definitely more cultured.

Gets a step and he's gone, especially against defenders at this level. Not sure given his raw attributes there would be a more impactful attacking signing at this level to be realistically made.

Only way we stop being some sort of feeder club to clubs like that is if we get back to the prem. Until then we have to take advantage of it because long term it’s our best chance of getting back there.

Wow. Now I’ll be gutted if we don’t get him and I’ve never even seen him play haha

Most EFL clubs are basically feeder clubs these days, what with EPPP, big clubs stockpiling youngsters and then mass loaning and League 1 & 2 clubs having to play competitive games against Prem b teams. All to get a small trickle down from their TV billions.

Errr, no you didn't.
Liam Delap will be the exciting signing Evatt is saying is close......Good relationship with City.
If this guy ends up in League One then he's obviously not on another level to Delap, who they rejected £16m for and has actually played in the league for them.

knit picking.....you also told us Bradley was off to yours..........Delap has 3 in 22 in the Championship this year hardly a £16m player

Why do you make things up when there's written evidence? It's the sign of a very stupid person. I said we probably looked at him and might enquire if he's available, the rest is all in your dense head.

3 goals in 13 Championship starts for a 19yr old in his first taste of senior football isn't exactly terrible. Especially in that God awful Stoke team, he's clearly a massive prospect.

I love watching people argue with Masi, not realising that he argues like a woman.

Even when you prove him wrong, he'll swear until he's blue in the face that he was right.

Which is ironic as I doubt he's ever met one.

Sam Long, young GK, has come back from his loan spell at Boston. Played a fair amount so turned out to be a good move for him despite their league position.

Jacob Davenport has left after his short term deal expired. No sooner had he come in we moved from a three to two man midfield so that didn't help albeit he picked up a few niggles and only managed two appearances.

Jonathan Leko in from Birmingham for the usual 'undisclosed fee'

Should find his feet quickly at this level and (hopefully) will help us carry some sort of threat in the top third.

He’s shit I’m afraid, even at this level. Will no doubt have a stormer against us though.

He was the best player on the pitch at your place against us last season until he was subbed. Was 1-1 when he was subbed around 70th minute and we won 4-1.
