He has been a good servant but I think now is the right time to part ways. Imagine it'll be a free with them taking on his contract which I'd have thought would be a decent wage.
Agreed. He's just not up to League 1 standard and is prone to some niggling injuries. Good luck to him, but assuming we must have someone lined up for him to move on?

Hopper to Colchester sounds like it'll happen before the weekend, which must mean we have someone close to signing, if not for Saturday then before Tuesday's deadline. Local media suggesting we'll focus on central midfield as well.

He's one we all thought we leave at the end of the season anyway, it's kinda run its course here with him so despite him being captain it's not like losing a key player. More concerning is that lack of depth up there and as it stands we have one striker, Ben House, who is the better player anyway.

Hopper has been out of form since our L1 PO season really, although he had Brennan Johnson, Morgan Rogers and Jorge Grant around him during that season.

Our resident ITK poster on Exeweb says we could be signing someone from Hibs today. So now everyone is losing their shit that it could be Harry McKirdy!

He had a great spell at Swindon but would be a potential gamble.

1 decent season in about 4 years... would add some spice to our next meeting!

It could also signal we’re about to lose one of our forwards, otherwise I can’t see how we’d bring him in as I’m sure he wants games.

Sounds like Adeboyejo is about done (medical today) and will be registered in time for Charlton on Saturday.

Seems like McKirdy was a false alarm.

Apparently we’re signing Demetri Mitchell instead. LWB and was part of Blackpool’s L1 promotion team a couple of years back. Would be happy with that.

Winger Sullay Kaikai has gone to Franchise.

He did look like a decent player when he got a chance, but he never really got a run of games in which to show his potential as he was always second choice to Anis Mehmeti/Garath McCleary.

Not necessarily a bad signing though, I'm not devastated to see him leave but I would say in the games I have seen him, he's been a 6 or 7 out of 10.

So that's three outs (Ali Al-Hamadi permanent to AFCW, Daryl Horgan loan to Stevenage, but his contract's up in summer so I'm guessing we won't re-sign, and now Kaikai to Franchise)...but a whopping ZERO ins.

Ainsworth has said we may be looking to get 1 or 2 in, but only at the right price.

Which probably means no-one's coming, because January's a shit time to buy, given all the desperation signings that happen right now from shit-or-bust promotion wannabes, or panicking relegation dogfight sides.

Demetri Mitchell confirmed on a permanent deal. Happy with that.

My only concern is he had an ankle injury which kept him out a fair while but assuming he’s over that, he should be a good addition

Can’t play for anyone else this season. He’s already played for 2 clubs. He either stays at Hibs or returns to us. - which is unlikely

Fortunately signing Mitchell means we won't be signing McKirdy, which is a relief

Few rumours we have received a bid from Stoke for George Johnston. He’d be a huge loss for us and IMO we’d have gone from having a really decent window to a bad one if we lose him.

Also in for Cameron Jerome now. 36 but Luton fans still really like him… say he’s still more than good enough for this level and still quick. Him, Charles, Nlundulu and Adeboyejo would definitely be a better front line than we started the season with.

Also looks like we are selling Aimson to Exeter. Been in and out of the team since he arrived. Quality defender but not brilliant with ball at his feet. While Santos was out he has been brilliant other than the Derby game. Got in team of the week at least twice recently and a really good lad too. Would be a good signing for them.

Hopper joined Colchester yesterday as expected for an undisclosed fee and Charlie Kendall has gone out on loan again, this time to Bromley.

There's no way we're letting those two moves happen without something sorted before Tuesday...or we're in serious trouble!

Just seen this on Exeweb. Is he a centre back? We need more defensive reinforcements…Good to hear he’s a good player!

Aden Flint set to sign on loan for the season. I liked him in his short spell here a couple of years ago.

Centre back yeah. I think there will be some
of our fans questioning the decision to let him go tbh after his recent performances. But those performances have probably put him in the shop window. Long term he’s not going to be ahead of Santos but a lot of us still really like him.
