Really really hope I’m wrong but I’m not convinced this is a good thing, he’s old and will no doubt be on a few £££, saying that after watching okedina trying to play today he really can’t be no worse.

KTF

I wouldn't have high hopes if i were you. Maybe the home comforts at being back at yours will give him a new lease of life though.

He seems like a warrior on the outside, but his confidence is shot and he's flakey under pressure.

Aaron Donnelly reported to be joining Vale on Loan from Forest, NI U21 left back (an area we need cover for) but only played once for the reds so not much to base how good he is!

Replacing Thierry Small and Liam MacCarron who were loaned to us and have gone back in that position!

FGR going for it..

So we're about to spend £350k on a 20 year old 5'6" midfielder with only 1 first team league appearance for Rangers who's played most of his football in the Lowland League for them. Must have some talent but not exactly going to turn us into world beaters, seems a huge fee just for potential. I guess we'll be looking to sell Regan Hendry or Reece Brown to make room for him.

Looks like we are being linked with Adeboyejo now Bodvarsson is out for the season. Us and Wigan in for him… can’t say I’ve seen a lot of him? Anyone know much about him?

Please don’t sign him before tomorrow, for the love of god. I’ve seen more then enough of him this season.

We had him on loan in the 19/20 season. Cant remember that much about him other than being surprised he was starting for Barnsley in the Championship when he went back. Looked a bit raw from memory but has clearly improved. 1 goal in 18 for us. Didnt look great when we beat Burton this season though but that was only 1 game.

We have signed Paris Maghoma on loan from Brentford. Not sure why as he was pretty uninspiring (so I have been told) at AFC for the first part of the season. Being at AFC hasn't gone down well with some of our supporters either. We are taking Wimbledon rejects now. :fl:

Also his brother is a coach here so make of that what you will.

You’ve already had more than enough points off us this season IMO haha. Can’t see it before tomorrow. Wigan in as well but have been for a week or 2 so not sure it will even happen at all.

We’ve signed 20 year old forward Tyrese Omotoye from Norwich, has had a few loan spells at places like Orient & Carlisle but hasn’t scored a senior goal as yet.

We’re close to a couple more as well apparently, two midfielders. Would take us up to 25 new signings this season, the majority of whom haven’t really impressed, which is a bit unfortunate.

Had a bit of talent, but was very raw when with us and a bit out of his depth. Needs a run of ten games in a row to help build himself up. He played in a friendly for us and scored and looked decent - he never recaptured that performance.

Performed similar at Carlisle last season.

We’ve resigned GK Jokull Andresson on an emergency 7 day loan from Reading as cover for Jamal Blackman who has a hip issue.

Rumours around that we're trying to get Aussie international Bailey Wright from Sunderland either in loan or permanent. Definitely need another centre back so makes a lot of sense.

That would explain the second goal on Saturday then!

We could be playing teams in the second half of this season with an entirely different starting XI to the one we put out the first time we played them. Has that been done within the same season before? Our recruitment seems like a random player generator.

Charlie McCann from Rangers confirmed, looks promising question is can we get the best out of him and develop him. If we can could be a gem by all accounts.

We have made so many signings over the season it’s hard to keep track of who is and isn’t still here, the main hope is that someone at the club actually knows what they’re doing.

Good signing for Cambridge with Connor McGrandles joining on loan from Charlton. Was a bundle of energy and was key in keeping us up last year as he had a bit of bite in what was (and still is!) a poor central midfield for the Imps. Would've gladly had him back. Slightly surprised he's ended up at the U's as he'll be on a decent wage at Charlton, one that blew us out of the water in the summer.

Sounds like what we've been missing in the middle of the park since May's injury. This team should be way too good to go down but we've been losing games due to our awful central midfield.

Adeboyejo’s representatives are at the game tonight. Omni-sports. They have a list of players on their website and can’t see anyone else obvious that they would be there for… also heard we are in contact with Conor Wickham’s reps. No idea if it will go any further than that. Can’t believe he’s only 29. Career really has been destroyed by injuries.

Sounds similar to us, our already weak central midfield was weakened further by losing Matty Virtue (McGrandles replacement) to injury for 10 or so weeks and we're yet to rectify it. Do the U's have a bit of cash? He'll be on a fair whack.

Good signing for Cambridge that. May take some time getting him up to speed as think he was injured/ out of favour, so has has had a lack of games since moving. You look at him and think, how the hell is he a footballer, but he is a great player!

This is what I put when Charlton signed him in the summer:

"I'd class him as a niggly midfielder in the sense that he's not a sitting, break up play kinda one, he's there to get in and around it. Fairly decent on the ball, won't score or create much but he'll be 7/10 every week. The kind of steady midfield player every side needs to allow the better forward players to do their thing.

Very good here in his first season, pretty below par last season albeit had to carry the midfield on his own at times.

Good for a yellow card as well, think he managed 15 last season!"

One of the smallest budgets in the league but maybe the owners have realised we need to spend a bit if we are to stay in the league. It’s largely the same squad as last season but we’ve had major injury problems this season.

He said he won’t be match fit but is naturally fit and ready for sat. I expect him to start.

We’d had 65% possession before the red and it’s now sitting at 50%. Think we are in for a long second half

He has been a good servant but I think now is the right time to part ways. Imagine it'll be a free with them taking on his contract which I'd have thought would be a decent wage.

We were supposedly set to bring in Charlie Savage on loan from Man U, not sure if they’ll still be willing to send him here without knowing who our manager is though.

Careful there. That don't fit (some of) our fans' romantic narrative of the team over achieving for the past two seasons. A few of them still go on to this day about winning promotion from L2 on a bottom 4 budget which quite frankly is a load of tosh.
