Looks like a new signing imminent! Image of a Pen for the teaser so no idea if that links to the name.

Sounds like a replacement for Tom Pett. Seems at a good age to develop.

Looks decent on paper, seems like we’ve wanted him for over a year, RWB or midfielder so option to cover Wozza leaving.

This is exactly the sort of signing we should be making. 6ft 1 tall, versatile, good age and good grounding in the Manchester United youth team. Cardiff fans were disappointed to release him. Promising start to recruitment.

Yeah more I read the more positive it sounds, apparently beat Bristol Rovers and Cheltenham to his signature so should calm down the fans worried we’d slash the budget.

Genuinely can't remember him doing much at all for us, but that was two seasons ago.

A quick check shows he had 3 league starts and 7 sub appearances in half a season - so yeah, I can't really judge him.

Central midfielder Alistair Smith joins from Sutton United on a free. Ticks lots of boxes and nice to get a permanent addition to compliment Ehtan Erahon.

Sang looks a good signing on paper and covers 2 positions is a bonus. Only negative I can see really is he's only made 31 appearances in his career and he's basically got go from hardly playing to getting 40 games a Season for us which will be tough to do.

See how he goes but seems to be the right age and one with potential to push on so fits the bill. 6’1 so adds some height that we need.

Decent start let’s see what else we come up with.

Dan N’Krumah off to a Championship club. Probably Boro or WBA judging by who was interested in January.

Looks that way, very raw but with bundles of talent. Hope he does well and that we get a decent fee for him.

Hopefully he's not gone back to Welling!

Be huge that for Orient if you’ve got Smyth to stay. A hell of a good player.

I do wonder if the next week we might start to see things moving with new signings as it’s been pretty slow going so far all round or at least comparatively to the big spenders in L2.

Reeco Hackett-Fairchild close to signing for an undisclosed fee from Portsmouth according to Peter O'Rourke. Someone we tried for in January, so no surprise we've gone back in for him and he was apparently in Lincoln a month or so ago.

Pleased with the signing of Smith from Sutton as well, on the face of it he seems to tick a lot of boxes and similar to Erhahon who's been excellent since his January move.

I like Reeco. He works hard, got a good left foot. Unfortunately his footballing brain is not the best and can be abit predictable. He's never found his position, or at least didn't for us. Has pretty played in every postition bar CB,RB and GK. I would say his best games were as a number 10 or on the left side of a 3 up top. Goalscoring record was pretty decent though

Got a great shot on him and scored a few long range efforts and free kicks for us.

Hugely one footed though. Still raw for his age but definitely has something about him.

Give him a long run of games in a fixed position and he'll become a decent player I think.

But what did he sing?
Hmm, not really a position we need filling as we have plenty of midfielders, and also Gibbons and Hoole at RB/RWB unless one is going out the door.
From Liverpool though, so that normally means we are interested

Yeah our fans are working out a song for him as its a name which they hope to do something with rather than the usual "one XXXXX" or super super XXXX"

Thanks, he sounds similar to Shodipo who we had on loan from QPR who I thought we'd probably end up going back in for but perhaps not if we sign Reeco.

I'd like us to be more 5-3-2 next season but suspect we'll be primarily 3-4-3.

Ruben Rodrigues has signed for Oxford - we were apparently interested so I'm surprised that we have missed out considering he apparently was settled within the area. Not to say we were definitely interest, of course, but definitely a player who I thought we would sign and was happy to have.

I'd like to know how interested we were, of course, but definitely a stick to beat Warne and Co with if he does well at Oxford.

We’ve just confirmed the signing of Ruben Rodrigues from Notts County.

One of the most fun players we’ve had in a decade, incredibly entertaining footballer. You’ll need to build everything around him to make it work, but I think it’s a good move for him, a step up but to a club/manager who will probably be willing to do that.

Pompey are after Christian Saydee. If they sign him, you’ll fall in love instantly Pompey fans. The bloke chases down everything and his physical side of the game is probably the best you could hope for in this division. Very, very good player for this level and will only get better. I would love him to come back to Salop but it just isn’t going to happen. Never fall in love with a loan player they say…

Exhibit A. Far too good for the NL and is right up there amongst my favourite ever Notts players, hope he does the business for Oxford.

Have opposing views on Rodrigues. He was brilliant, I love him, will miss him and want him to do well but I’m not sure he will - there’s a touch of the Jorge Grant about him - he’s not a winger, not a central midfielder and not a forward. He needs to have a free role in behind the striker, in a possession based team built around his strengths. I also think there’s a question mark around his lack of pace which seems to be the thing that holds you back the further up the leagues you go.

Looks like Oxford must have thrown some serious cash at that one, particularly with who they were potentially competing against. Seems like they're going to throw a load of money at it in order to avoid the car crash of last season.
