Wigan, Charlton and Lincoln have zero chance of finishing above us, but its your opinion fair enough
It makes sense now. You bit because I had Charlton above Bolton, not Birmingham or Huddersfield.

It's gone stale at Bolton, your squad isn't that great and your manager should have been sacked in the summer. There are calls for the best CB in the league (Santos) to be shipped out by your own fans and I would agree because you leak too many sloppy goals which ultimately cost you promotion.

I agree with a lot of what you say concerning Bolton, but Charlton even under a good manager in Jones are miles behind at least 7/8 teams. Luke Berry is decent if they can get a full season out of him, but currently are no stronger than thet were last season

When we played them last season at their place, he absolutely tore us a new one. Good player. One I wouldn't have minded at our place.
Sounds good been hearing good things about the lad. Just a shame that its likely to mean our best player Antony Evans is off

Saturday night drink was it?

Mullin isn't on 25k a week, that was a joke because people have speculated about his wage with ludicrous claims since he signed.

Our money isn't from our owners personal wealth. Our revenue might surprise you though- we can compete with any team in this league financially.

As for major improvements. No shit sherlock, we were in Non league Two seasons ago and a lot of the team were playing at that level (although arguably at one or two levels below where they should be) . If the league started now we are probably mid table, luckily we have time to bring more quality in.

We were told last season that we'd struggle in League 2 but we somehow managed. The top half a dozen of League 1 are a level above but most of this legaue doesn't worry me too much.
Your money might not come out of Rob & Ryan's pockets but you are not 'uniquely funded'.

Despite the documentary and the TikTok sponsorship etc, you still owe Rob & Ryan Ltd a cool £9m! (according to your latest set of accounts.)

Just don't say anything negative about him on Facebook or Twitter you'll have his Dad and Grandad wading in then blocking you

Jaden Brown making his loan move at St Mirren a permanent one according to north of the border.

One that didn't work out in the slightest, hardly involved at all in the first half of the season and gone in January so a bit of a weird transfer.

We were set to sign Manyoo’s Nathan Bishop on loan 2 years ago but it fell through at the last minute, and we were left scrambling for a first choice keeper…since then he has signed for Sunderland but isn’t getting a game there.

So 2 years later, he is supposed to be coming in on loan again according to The Scum. That said the guy who wrote it is actually a Wycombe fan so it could be true.

apparently we lost out on him. Still no signings yet, but on the positive Keir visited us today to talk football governance...so swings and roundabouts.

(honestly isn't suppose to sound sarcastic, I like him)

Anybody else yet to make a signing? I think we need about 8-10 as well.

He is a weird one. We had him on loan a few years back and he came in with a big pedigree, due to him being a Spurs academy product etc. But he never made a league appearance for us and barely even made a squad.

Roll on a few months and he was playing for Huddersfield in the Championship, pretty consistently. I always wondered why he never worked here and maybe there’s something in his character that is holding him back?

Leaves us with a big gap to fill. Got us out of a few holes last year with his goals and assists. The only positive is that he has gone early in the window, so there are no excuses for not having the time to find an equally as good or better replacement. Last thing we need is another player to develop. We have enough of those already good luck Hutch.

Charlie Barker signs for Crawley from Wealdstone. 21 year old centre back. Son of former Crawley manager Richie Barker. 7sed to play for Charlton.

We actually paid money for him. Probably only enough for a pint and a packet of chips but still...

Adam Campbell turns down a contract offer with Crawley. Seems he is headed for the comparative riches of the National league.

Definitely good enough for the National league and league 2. I would have liked to have kept him but I'm not sure he would make the step up to league 1.

Great so that will be two clubs, both with two of our ex strikers ( Knibbs and Smith at Reading being the other). That takes the piss when we didn’t get a fee for any of them !

I see Cam Dawson has snubbed Bristol Rovers in favour of Rotherham. Evans really does get whoever he wants doesn’t he!

Now Charlton steadily building an ex Cambridge United team. Maybe our recruitment isn’t so bad after all.

Where did I say your squad wasn’t good and that the full Cambridge team would get in it?

You just got your ass out because I don’t rate your manager or squad compared to others. You took the bate that wasn’t even intended for you.

Sometimes in a debate you have to agree to disagree but you’ve come back with some absolute drivel.

Small and nippy.

He us not a speedster but he aint slow. If he was 3 or 4 inches taller he wouldn't have rocked up at ours or be going to you now (I don't mean that in a bad way).

Quote. Your squad isant that great [your words]
Evatt has been found out. I wanted him gone but as he is staying at least for the time being i will back him if he plays the same way he wont last long.
As things stand today we have the strongest squad in the league bar none, but with Baxter,Santos,Sheehan and Charles all rumoured to be off, that soon wont be the case.
Birmingham and Huddersfield have yet to start there summer re-build and i like most expect them to be strong. Rotherham i think will get in the play-offs but dont see many of there ten signings improving on what we have.
Dont mind the debate, but you say i come back with drivel i honestly dont see that

I reckon we might have our eye on Sheehan if Alan Browne leaves.

You can have the 10 best players in the league but if they don't bond and form a team, you'll never get out of this league.

The last 3 times we were promoted other teams had better squads.

Isn’t that great and isn’t good are two different ways of describing your squad.

Bolton squad - isn’t that great.
Cambridge squad - isn’t good.

Hope that helps.

Apparently there's a non-league striker we've been sniffing at that just had a League 2 club match their release clause. Seems to be a bit of indecisiveness of whether we'll try and match it or not. Look at the list, I can't see a lot of options out there that are at an age worth paying money for and with a decent record though.

He was very well liked at Charlton but it felt the move to let him go and drop down a couple of levels and get gametime was right for him and us. I'm very surprised to see him back at this level but sounds like he impressed whilst at Wealdstone
