Looks a good signing on paper. Not prolific for a striker but we are the perfect club for players who need to come in with something to prove to kick on and get a move.

We've done it for Mullin, Smith, Ahadme and Ironside (although dropped down a league but Macclesfield told us he was dog shit) but earned himself a 3 year deal at Donny.
I literally texted a mate the equivalent of your second paragraph earlier and quoted those four exact players. We have history for taking strikers with poor goal records and then getting a tune out of them with us.

This Brum move will probably make Alfie May a millionaire, guy was kicking about at a team called Hythe 6-7 years ago.
Just highlights the state of football at the moment. League one mind..

Ali Smith has gone to AFCW on loan for the season. A freebie punt from Sutton last summer on a two year deal and hasn't really worked out. Not that worst punt we've ever made, a victim of having to be played out of position in the first half of last season with an injury crisis but in reality not up to top half L1 standard and lacked a bit of physicality and speed of thought for this level.

Out of contract in the summer, so that's the last we'll see of him, which isn't unexpected - it was confirmed when he went to Colchester on loan that he wasn't the profile of midfielder Skubala wanted and he'd be allowed to leave.

We were getting quoted £1m for him apparently - without trying to be disrespectful (as we also can't afford it without selling our best player) but can you afford it?

I am very much expecting that May has only gone because we have another striker guaranteed to come in. Most were expecting that to be Ahadme so this throws a spanner in the works as you sniffing around would definitely mean that's not tied up. We've also been linked less loosely to Godden and Etete

Haha there is no way Ipswich are asking £1m for a striker who got 12 goals in league one last season (and no we wouldn't pay 100k, let alone £1m)

I'm told he is keen to come back to us if a deal can be done. I should imagine you've moved on if that's what you're being quoted.

As long as he don't rock up back here.
Just shows how a player can fit at one club and be utter toss elsewhere. Similar to our experience with Jevani Brown.

Ffs that's first place gone, not that we would have been challenging for it anyways

Mickel Miller has signed today, he was at Plymouth last season and Herbie Kane looks a done deal assuming Birmingham don’t hijack it last min, both free transfers.

We’re apparently looking to buy CJ Egan Riley, full back from Burnley.

Spent the second half of last season on loan at PSV and their B team in the Dutch 2nd tier.

Will be mixed reviews from our fans but I quite liked him. Think he will fit in well at Wycombe

We're announcing a signing at 2pm, literally no clue who it is.

Absolute bargain. Best midfielder in the league and will fit right in there.

Completely agree. Its a great signing for Brum, I genuinely cant see how he can not be anything but a massive success. Getting guaranteed goals in May and pure class in Leonard, anything other than 1st is an absolute failure based on Birmingham's early business.

Wonderboy has namedropped Bradshaw.
The local South London journo said yesterday you were interested in Bradshaw and he doesn't normally post anything without certainty. He did also say Millwall were unlikely to have any outgoings until some incomings were sorted so it may be dependent on that whether he will be your 2pm

Sounds like Notts' striker Langstaff is en route to London

That could be an incredible move for Langstaff. Can't say much about Bradshaw tbh but he was down the road in Tattenhall Ice Cream farm with his family. Long way to go from London without reason.

Stockport County.
Fiorini signs.

£300k initial fee, 100k if we get to the Championship in the next 5 years, 300k if we get to the Premier League in the next 5 years, another £300k if we qualify for Europe in the next 5 years.

So £300k then.

Goalkeeper Vicente Reyes in on a season loan from Norwich.

He got rave reviews whilst out on loan at FGR last season despite their relegation. He was in the provisional Chile squad for the Copa America so I can't see Norwich sending him here on loan if we didn't think he would be our no.1 this season. Looks another promising signing.

Sounding like the Godden deal is done, hence why we are allowing May to leave. Slightly older than May but should hopefully still have it in him at this level. Not entirely sure if it is a downgrade or upgrade on May given his experience in the Champ

Smart money seems to be on us signing Bradshaw this afternoon. Good player so wouldn't be against it. 31 though so makes me look a right mug for crying about someone calling us Dad's army.

understand that Challinor has remortgaged his house for the Fiorini signing, more savvy business from Mr Stott and Challinor buying into the project quite literally
