Exactly my thinking. He’d probably do really well at a high end Championship club and if he scored say 15 goals plus, that’s another few mill on his value.

I know I am biased, but I think he’s got the potential to be a decent Premier League player in time. Of course, going to Birmingham now ‘should’ mean only one season in L1 and if they continue to be backed financially he could be pushing back towards the Prem with them in 2-3 years. I’d still be surprised if this happens.
Prem clubs seem to just put buy back clauses on strikers now. Probably another way to get around FFP.

Been told that our goalkeeper signing will be Zach Hemming on loan from Middleborough for a season, he played nearly enough every game for St. Mirren last season in the SPL.

We had another of their keepers Sol Brynn on loan from them last season, I'd imagine Hemming can play out from the back because its a big thing Wellens seems to want from his keepers.

Also told that we're interested in signing West Ham youngster Divin Saku Mubama, he's a 20 year old striker who scored for West Ham in Europa League last season.

Hemming now confirmed on a season long loan, apparently comfortable with the ball at his feet which is a big thing for Wellens. Important we got the goalkeeping position sorted.

That just leaves us needing a left back, a central midfielder and maybe a striker - which would likely be a youngster on loan as Agyei and Kelman will both play there. But the bulk of our business is now done.

I've been told we're negotating with Colchester to sign Noah Chilvers but striking a deal has been difficult.

Signed Rangers young CB Johnly Yfeko on a season long loan, with an option to buy. That’s something we’ve never done before, so assume (excuse my ignorance) we’ve agreed a fee with Rangers but can send him back there if he’s shit!?

Quite like the look of him though. 6ft 4’ and he can play LCB or LB. Only recently signed a new deal with Rangers to 2026, so presume they felt he had a decent future, but things change quickly in football.

Still need another CB, preferably an experienced one to replace Aimson, but otherwise we’re sorted across the whole back line.

Stockport County.
Left back Tayo Adaramola signing for us on loan from Crystal Palace.

Needed a player there really, Rydel is our best LB/LWB but coming off an ACL he picked up last September and picked up another injury in pre-season. Ibou Touray was pretty mediocre in Leaue Two, so worry about him as first choice at this level.

Pre-season Friendly again last night 7/8 out again injured. Sheehan not in squad. When pressed after the game Evatt said it was not injury related.
Looks like he is off

Crawley have signed Max Anderson on a 2 year deal from Dundee. Been there since he was 11. 23 year old midfielder. Won young player of the year twice, one u21 cap. Undisclosed fee. Pint and a packet of crisps probably.

Says he is a 'get up and down' type of player but I've not seen him.

I don't understand why Birmingham are spending all this money yet have appointed a no-mark manager.

It didnt do Wrexham any harm in the National league, although they would probably have came up a year earlier with someone decent

He could be a genius appointment but seems an unnecessary risk when they clearly want instant promotion. They're obviously ust hoping for another Keiran McKenna, even though he's an absolute anomaly.

Hopefully they have another Ben Garner instead!

Tbf to Parky, his first season in charge was mostly players he'd inherited from our penniless days ie: journeymen....

Plenty of bad'uns as examples, that Foster at Plymouth last season had a good CV

With the money they're spending they probably could have tempted away currently employed Championship managers like Mousinho.

I think they are hoping he's the next Mousinho

So Klarer and Willemsson cost a reported combine total of $8 million euros not sure of the exchange rate but over £4 million each. Its always 'undisclosed' but local journos seem to think thats the right ball park figure

Oooh eck. You must have just pipped us to that Klarer fella sure we would have been interested at that price.

Also seen you’ve signed Marc Leonard for £500k. What a guy and what a player.

We have made our 133rd signing of the window by bringing in someone from the MLS that I have never heard of.
I hope these gambles pay off.

Four 7 figure bids have gone in this summer by us........One we have missed out on to a top Championship club
Dembele and Mc atee will be two more. We have a bid in for Armstrong from Kilmarnock doubt that is 7 figures and Randel from Posh was turned down again doubt that was 7 figures.........Time to move on and move down the list

Some twitter random account linking us with TJ Eyoma.

Jobe has done his ACL so we’re probably on the look out for another CB/RCB.

Not even the MLS the USL League One which is effectively the third tier of American football. Pretty bizarre signing as the standard of that league is probably closer to the 7/8th tier of English football and he's not exactly young but you must have seen something to take that gamble

Some of Burton’s signings looks decent e.g. Watt, Orsi, Godwin-Malife etc. but the lads from the more obscure reaches of the footballing world could be genius, or a complete disaster.

Reminds me a bit of when Vale made all those signings from foreign clubs, which didn’t work out too well, from memory.

Twitter is suggesting we are about to sign Matt Dibley-Dias on loan from Fulham. Apparently there was a lot of EFL interest in him but I have no idea if he is any good, as is the case with most youngsters coming from their academies.

Birmingham signing Marc Leonard for 500k is an unbelievable bit of business. Was certain he would go to the championship at least. Im sure he will be on a huge wedge and Brighton will have a sell on % but signing players of that profile are exactly what Birmingham should be doing IMO. He stood out a million miles for us and cant see anyway he is not a massive success there.

5 promotions to his name, FA cup quarter finalist with a L1 side and League Cup finalist with a L2 side? The guy’s got a better CV than the rest of the league put together.

Stockport County.
Very harsh on Parky. Does a pretty good job everywhere and is doing a good job at Wrexham. Yes he's spent money but with that comes pressure and he's dealt with it well enough.

Miserable bastard, mind.

Talking of random signings, we're signing 19 year old Kaheim Dixon from Arnett Gardens in the Jamaican League. Can't say I know anything about him but does play for the national team as well

I still can't look past Huddersfield for 2nd spot. I expect them to splash the cash a bit more considering they were in for Alfie May.

Good manager for this level too.

We owe Huddersfield, maybe other stags fans can tell me otherwise but I believe it’ll be the first time we’ve played them since we got robbed in the play off final?
