Looks like we’re trying to get two done today.

Connor Washington rumoured to be signing today and we are in talks with Paul Smyth winger from QPR.

Hopefully announcing Faal and Adam tomorrow by the sounds of it (announcement confirmed for 9am)

Unlike Dan I quite like the sound of those two. Players with potential rather than immediate first team starters but id rather that than someone coming for their last paycheck. Don't take up squad places either.

Finishes off our summer transfer activity nicely.
I don't mind the Adam signing, looks a good prospect from when I can see.
Hopefully Faal proves me wrong
Both not taking up squad registrations is a bonus.

We must have stolen the Stockport recruitment software to identify Adam.

In his Barnsley pre match press conference Lindsey says Crawley should announce one today and possibly two.

He also says Conroy and Holahan (I've never seen in a Crawley shirt) are weeks away from playing.

I’m inclined to agree, I actually think they probably are around that in what they spend too mind, fair play to the owners who are incredibly ambitious with big pockets.
You're jealous mate, we get it, now change the record please......

We're all relaxed with our feet up in LN5.

No plans for any ins or outs.

People seem to suggest we will sign another one or two but i think we are done.
Strong rumours Cheick Diabate is leaving though

Diabate going to Bradford on loan. This should mean we have a replacement lined up.

We’ve now got 5 loans so presume we’ll only look at permanents. Could be a quiet day on the ins front, but who knows.

SIGNED | Wrexham AFC sign Mo Faal from West Brom

Wrexham AFC are delighted to announce the signing of striker Mo Faal from West Bromwich Albion.

Gambian-born Faal, 21, has signed a contract through to June 2027 with an option for a further year.

Faal spent last season on loan at Doncaster Rovers and Walsall, scoring 15 goals which included hitting the target at the STōK Cae Ras.

And on signing for Wrexham, he said: “I have had a smile on my face since I've been here. I’m excited and thoroughly buzzing to be here - I can’t wait to get started.

“I think everyone in the football world now knows just how big of a Club this is, and where it wants to be.

“Ever since I heard about the project that has been going on here, it has been on an upwards trajectory. Over the last couple of years it has been a Club that has really come through and since hearing about all of that and speaking to the gaffer, it made my decision very simple.

“I scored my first professional goal here, and when I came here it was an unbelievable place to play at. The fans are incredible, every single seat was filled. The atmosphere was rumbling and the stadium was absolutely buzzing - to finally be a part of that, It’s unbelievable.”

Faal moved from The Gambia to England when he was seven years old, and started his youth career with Sutton Coldfield Town before being picked up by West Brom.

While with the Baggies, he made his professional debut in August 2021 and spent time on loan with Hereford, AFC Telford United and AFC Fylde.

After scoring ten goals in 16 league games for AFC Fylde, he spent last season in the EFL – first with Doncaster Rovers and then with Walsall.

On his signing, manager Phil Parkinson said: “I’m delighted to welcome Mo to the Club.

“He’s an exciting young striker and has had a really good progression in his loan moves in the last couple of seasons; we’re really looking forward to working with him.”

Was a pipe dream to be honest, we wanted him to return but there is more chance of us getting Lisa Stansfield to play for us this season, career wise would have made no sense for him to drop to L1 no matter how much affection he has for the club.
So you haven't just bid 9mn for him then......

Hungarian sports paper linking Daniel Gubosz to a League One Club.

"Gubosz Dániel magyar sztár Angliába érkezik a League One egyik klubjához. Csatár az elmúlt szezonokban 16 góllal. Sok lelkes csapat van. Daniel választott."

Anyone speak Hungarian can post this up?

Apparently he's cost us £500k?!

West Brom sources last night were reckoning more like 300k with sell on clauses.

In the past (Palmer, Rathbone) haven't we described them as breaking our transfer fee record?
Not sure. I guess it's all speculation as fees are never disclosed these days, but in The Athletic this morning they say that Faal cost us £500k, and that Rathbone cost us £550k and is our record signing.

I remember Faal being a gangly nuisance for Donny and Walsall, not sure how that translates into big L1 money however

(Presume I've got the right Mo Faal this time, not the Crawley one)
