Melodramatic.

However, it's an awful signing. Let's start with that. Good performances and goals will gradually change that viewpoint.

to be fair he had a decent pedigree in league two and chipped in with a fair few goals but struggled in league 1 and by all accounts fell out with SD.

I can't see him doing anything in this league again especially with him being at Yeovil recently. but who knows.

He can score 2 goals this season, if he likes. As long as they're the winners on August 8th and April 9th.

He didn't fall out with SD, he was crocked badly by Brian Howard and just never looked the decent player he once was. Lost his pace and his confidence went with that.

Not from what I've heard..but either way. He's guaranteed to score against us this season.

Posh have gone and signed 4 players in one, such is MacAnthony's love of a bit of drama.

They've signed Andrew Fox, Keiran Sadlier(Ex West Ham), Lee Angol from Luton and finally.....Souleymane Coulibaly. So that ends the chance of the Vale signing him.

As for Ajay, it wasn't an injury that ruined him, he was just never that good. Powell made him look good in L2. As soon as he stepped into L1 he didn't look good enough. Yeah, he had an ok start to the 12/13 season, but at the end of the day, he only had 3 league goals in his first 12 appearances before his injury. I do agree that he lost his confidence, but I don't think a confident Ajay would scored any more than 6-10, at best. For me he is a carbon copy of Williamson. Might, with an injury free season and a slightly more attack minded team, score 5-10. Might.

As for scoring against us, it's a possibility but he didn't look remotely like scoring against us when we played Yeovil last season. Things had gotten so bad by the time they visited Gresty Road that they had him playing in midfield.

Can't even see him playing against us in all honesty. Reckon Ajay's their 4th choice striker.

Potentially signing LB Stephen Kingsley on loan from Swansea later this week, had a spell at Yeovil on loan last season and is another Scotland U21 international we may sign from Swansea this season along with Adam King.

I expect Uche will start up top with Dodds behind at the start of the season to be honest.

Ultimately are Uche and Leitch-Smith worse than last years Pope and Willo - probably not much better nor worse so in effect we are no worse off so with an improved defence we should do slightly better. (if it works that way!)

He won't be playing as a striker. He'll be competing with Dodds for the spot in the hole behind Uche, I'd guess.

Dodds should thrive in that position to be fair his best spells of form were in that spot with us!

Happy days then. I'd rather AJ as back up than fucking Birchall anyway.

Yes Birchall has more timber than Wickes' but Ajay is non-league standard. In fact the pair of them are. Send them Nantwich's way they might look good there.

In fairness to Birchall, he's actually pretty trim now.

Never played for us and was purposefully sent out on loan for the season with Boreham Wood paying his wages him full plus a loan fee. Supposedly our management didn't really rate him, but was seen as one for the future.

We didn't pay a transfer fee nor a penny in wages, yet you've given us £40,000 + 25% sell on fee for him. Happy days.

You've? I'm not a Posh fan bud, just posting about their signings.
