Dan Gore apparently is at training today so looks like that one is done, beating off competition from Preston, Bolton, Blackpool, Shrewsbury and Fleetwood.

On paper a good high calibre replacement for Devine, hopefully that will turn out to be the case.

Wellens has been talking to one of our podcasts:

-He Expects a signing to be made this week, looks like a pernament deal from somewhere as negotiations regarding the sell on clause is apparently holding it up.
-We've had one offer from a League One side for one of our players, which is moving along slowly.
-New contracts have been offered to Ruel Sotiriou, Rob Hunt and Dan Happe.

Just have a gut feeling George Moncur might be the player. It would make sense with his lack of minutes recently and his high wages to move him on. He will still attract interest from other clubs with his ability.

Hearing Aaron Drinnan from Orient to Carlisle for 50k. Can't believe anyone would pay a fee for him at the moment. I would take the money like a shot.
Great. He's looked good each of the last two times I've seen him up at Brunton Park. Think he scored each time as well.

It was from one of those bullshit transfer rumour Twitter accounts. Wouldn’t pay much mind to it. Drive him there myself if you’re actually buying him, though. Works hard but can’t stay fit and couldn’t hit a barn door with the proverbial.

Cheltenham are set to sign Josh Harrop.

Know nothing of the lad. Where's that Preston fan gone?
Waste of space and needs to pack in football altogether.

No chance we made any move for Gore. We need to move someone out to make room for Isaac Hayden on loan who seems our only real target.

Sounds promising then
I'd ask Northampton fans about what happened there. Just seems another Marcus Maddison with no interest in football.

Knows where the Brunton park net is though. 2 in his last 2.

Was with us for a while, didn’t get a sniff of playing in league 2 but think it was more can’t get fit than a bad attitude. Brady was always complimentary when asked.

Sad to see Corey Blackett Taylor go. Pleased it’s a loan as we stilll have to play Derby twice and he would destroy our defence

Finally managed to move on Adelakun, who goes to Donny Rovers on loan.
Only taken us two years to shift him, that's the end of the Adelakun story now!

Someone on Vitals has suggested Smith might be going to Colchester as well (presumably loan), which would leave us light in midfield.

He needs a fresh start somewhere else. He scored over 15 goals in his first season, but in a winning team last couple of years has not done well infront of goal. Works really hard and is a good team player with a great attitude. Might suit both player and Carlisle. We definitely should look to move him on now though if clubs are offering cash.

Not a first choice at all, but stepped in when needed this season. I hope he does well for Donny. Pleased to see him finally move on.

Re. Smith, probably makes sense, gets him regular game time, before stepping up next season. Does that mean someone incoming?

I'd get Smith out for a few months, hopefully gets a run of games to come back in July, personally I don't see him stepping up to L1 but worth a go.

I think we can afford a slight gamble in letting Smith go and getting a younger loan in from the Champ or Prem academies for cover.

I'd expect Jaden Brown to be moved out and I think that's our 'outs' done for the month.

Very surprised Cheltenham have signed Josh Harrop. We had him on trial earlier in the season and sent him packing very quickly. Dont think he even lasted a week...

Looks like Gore is now virtually done as per our new insider Fab Romano. Just shy of the "here we go".

Then need to be looking at those wingback spots especially on the left for strengthening and adding someone else up front. I'm presuming we are out on Young now.

Oh dear, sounds like despite being on loan, CBT can play against us this season. RIP our defence

He was on peanuts with us apparently, before agreeing a new deal until the end of the season a couple of weeks back.

Harrop is one of those no risk wagers I think. I suspect we've got him on a pay as you play deal and he knows it's his last big chance of maintaining his career in the football league. He's clearly of a decent enough standard, the only question mark is his injury record (and it's a hell of a question mark). But these are the risks a club like ours has to take - we're not going to get ready made League One players coming to Cheltenham if they've got a perfectly clean history.

We didn't exactly snub Tom Pett based on ability and attitude. We were just unwilling to pay what he wanted given his injury history.
Don't recall Pett having too many problems with us injury wise which considering our injury record over the past 3 seasons is pretty good!

We've signed Fulham youngster Oliver O'Neil for an undisclosed fee, he's a wide forward and scored twice already in the Bristol Motors Trophy this season ironically against ourselves and Wycombe.

Keeping with our profile of signing young hungry players to try and develop.

I'd imagine one player is likely to be on the way out.

Must be great to have something transfer related going on, not a sniff here of anything beyond Lyle Taylor.
