O'Rourke claiming we've put in a bid for Harrison Burrows at Peterborough. Never heard of him.

Edit - Quality numbers from LB/LWB.
Really highly rated in this league, would expect him to be able to step up comfortably

First bid turned down it seems. Sheff Utd linked, expect he won't end up here.

We've just signed James Bolton who was with you for 2 yrs. Do you reckon he can do decent job. Hope you have a reasonable season mate
James Bolton was outstanding for us and a big player in the year we reached Wembley twice. Bit unusual for a RB to be 6ft2 but for him it works. You won’t see him overlap much as he’s more of a defensive fullback than an attack minded fullback. Won’t see many wingers beat him as he’s strong and plays a physical game. Good in the air too. Only thing that lets him down slightly is the fact he’s not the quickest. Will do more than a decent job, wouldn’t have mind him back at Salop.

We've signed RB Tendayi Darikwa on a one-year deal. Spent last season in Cyprus after spells with Burnley, Forest and Wigan.

Unusually for us, he's 32 so not our normal profile of signing but Skubala did say he wanted a bit more experience in the side for this season and he captained Wigan if I remember correctly.

Isnt that what you signed Magennis for?
Don't know if Magennis will start but definitely gives us options with Cox, Alli and Bird.
Rumours that Cardiff are interested in Alli, which is odd as he's only been with us 5 minutes

Well completely out of the blue (no links at all), we've signed Greg Docherty. Very happy with that

Few of our "ITK" seem to think we're in for George Dobson. We were linked with him a year or so ago briefly so could be something in it

Cam McGeehan signed on a 2 year deal. Spent last year at Colchester, previously at Oostende in the Belgian first division - looks like he did well at Col U and they’re sorry to see him go.

Some of ours saying the same. Apparently we won't be getting him back now and I'd assume Wrexham have enough money to sway him to move away from London and going to Orient.

Seems Crawley have made a bid for Toby Mullarkey of Grimsby. Centre back/midfielder who came through Crewe's ranks before being released.

Can't say I recall him.

Can't argue with his goals return from midfield, but for much of the season I'm not entirely sure what else he really offered - I never really noticed him too much in games but for someone of his pedigree I would have thought he could really take a hold of things and drive the team on. But to hit double figures from midfield in a struggling side isn't to be sniffed at.

I guess it doesn't help that I never really warmed to him either, he clearly didn't really want to be here. Every time someone else scored he would be the only player wandering back not joining in the celebrations etc.

That Alli rumour is from a 15 year old’s account. Nothing to see here.

Interesting as you have described what he was like here in his early career. Good Goal scoring midfielder but people often questioned his all around game. Going off what you’ve said there seems he’s still like that.

I would struggle to describe him as a player as I can't really think of what he's particularly good at or what sort of role in the side he would take, as he was just not all that noticeable. He's not a holding midfielder, he doesn't ping passes around, he doesn't take a player or two on and drive into the box... his name just pops up every now and then on the scoresheet. It's really bizarre and I can't remember any other player we've really had like that where I'd have to search for him to see if he was on the pitch.

But he came with an excellent reputation and a career of playing at higher levels, so in that central role I would want him to be a really dominant player who stands out and I just never saw too much really. He also loves a yellow card, he seemed to be getting booked almost every game.

Delighted to read what you have to say and looking forward to seeing him in action

New signing announced at 3pm. From all the mumblings yesterday, I'll be surprised if it isn't George Dobson.

In for him last year, didn't think it would happen after his Hungary contract, but maybe Ryan or Rob gave his agent a call last minute

I see Jordan Rossiter who left us last week is trialling at Stockport County. Great player but is always injured. Be careful.

Good player Dobbo we had him here for 2 years in League one be a good signing for you another ex Walsall player in your ranks as well
Yep we've a fair few now. Would appreciate a Charlton review on him, with respect.

On the face of it he seems a solid CM at this level and that's all we should be looking for at the moment, we need a boring mid-table season.

Yeah great player and servant for us for years. Gives his all. Is technically limited and I think league one is his ceiling but does a great job in this league

Yes, went off injured after a few minutes.
He was out for over a year with us on a decent wedge, and played the last few games of the season then fucked off without even giving a goodbye msg to fans. Don't think he will ever play more than 20 games in a season again
