Crawley have signed a keeper! Jojo Wollacott .

Got him from Hibs but previously with Charlton and Swindon.

He said last season didn't work out for him due to injuries . We can but hope.

Casey

I see devilforajob got here first! Always hated him;)

We've signed another midfielder - Dom Jefferies from Gillingham for an undisclosed fee.

Looks like a promising signing, but does this spell the end for Erhahon?

EDIT - still reckon good amount of movement for us, as still need a keeper, LWB and striker at least.

Runs around a lot but actual game contribution is pretty low.

Rotherham have completed signing number 12 with Nottingham Forest's Espa Osong joining on a season long loan subject to EFL approval.

The 19 year old marksman has been a consistent scorer at Youth levels and now hopes to make the step up to senior football.

He replaces the departed Tom Eaves but is supposed to be fast, tricky and a natural goal scorer .................................... so nothing like Tom then.

According to SE we also have 3 trialists training with us and they will play in this weekends friendlies at Stamford and Spalding, with contracts on offer if they show the right promise.

Not often you see a 2+2 deal, it's normally 3+1! Doesn't read like an Erhahon type of player, in fact none of the midfielders we have fill his role or are that similar IMO.

That gives us 6 senior CM's now in an area we were caught short in last season and having to play attackers in there for a decent chunks of the second half of the season so it's good to see depth in that area.

First signing of the week according to Radio Lincs, which depending on how you interpret it, is either in a literal sense or we're expecting more movement.

Erhahon is the type of player Bolton are crying out for will get a few quid for him sooner than later

Not convinced in that signing for you guys.

Hopefully only as a backup. Never been impressed by him.

Whichever keeper signs for us will be first choice. Our #2 is barely Conference South standard and then there’s a couple of untested kids. We’ve been spoiled for good keepers over the past 10 years so we’re due a dodgy one.

Things are starting to get finalised, squad wise. I still think even though we (wxm) have improved our squad, I still think we're just getting up to speed this season.

For me, it's gonna be between Brum & Bolton at the top, closely contested with Charlton, Huddersfield and as an outsider...Stockport.

Time will tell....

(Off the field, we're not quite ready to move up yet. What's the saying?? Don't try and run before you can walk??)

I think a lot will depend on what we do with our forward options. There are a lot of unknowns at the moment - how long is Mullin out for and how long will it take him to get back up to speed without a pre season?
What sort of game time is Fletcher capable of?
What's Marriott like?
Will we move on Waters (and Dalby and Bickerstaff?) and who are their replacements?
Is Palmer still up to L1?

I'm reasonably happy with our squad in the other areas. And I do expect one or two further additions as well as another striker.

Thought Wollacott was pretty good for us. Broke his finger about a week before he was due to go to the Qatar world cup and ended up missing out and wasn't the same after.

If that's Luca I wouldn't say he is a bad keeper he just does something odd every few games. One game he moved wide when playing out from the back but when we lost the ball he forgot to get back into the goal! Qué sprints when he suddenly realised.

You have. Great signing. One of our better players. Had a bad injury but slowly getting back. Sad to see him go.
Always performed well against us, with a decent long throw as well (something we haven't had or used consistently since Tom Miller in the National League under David Holdsworth in the mid 2010's).

Your defence has been pretty horrendous in his time with you, but you also had Sam Hughes so I'm kinda guessing it was a system issues rather than personnel one as such?

EDIT - Looks like he can play RB if needed as well? Probably replaces Eyoma in that sense.

Dan Potts on trial for us, joining the Luton Athletic revolution
NJ getting some of his favourites in and around the place.

He came to us as a left back and he was a solid, reliable type there, but he’s not really very athletically gifted for a modern flying fullback so he was a bit of a back up option.

Laterly in his career when we moved to a 3 at the back shape he was a left sided centre half which seemed to work better for his relative athletic potential.

The last few seasons he’s been a leadership type figure, but had the unfortunate habit of picking up a knock just when the player in front of him had one too.

He’s a real threat from set pieces and has a prodigious leap on him. Absolutely nailed his penalty at Wembley so will always be fondly remembered here.

Omochere confirmed - fee undisclosed but more than likely our record transfer fee paid. Shrewsbury can have him after a few years when we've ruined him :bg:

Yep. Unless they completely defy the odds, their signings have been dreadful. We'd be annoyed at these signings in league 2.

Given the cost cutting measures, 20th or above will be a successful season. Without external investment we're not going to compete any higher than the lower reaches of this league. Cotterill's big wages signings and a period of other high costs has blown the rainy day fund. Going to rely heavily on finding hidden gems in the loan market.

Yes, he can play right back and pretty effectively.
The defending was horrendous but I put that down to our managers, their tactics and team morale. He is a good player but was in a bad team.
Shame he is not staying, but we have plenty of cover.
Fee is not disclosed- I am guessing about 100k.
Good luck to him, smashing lad and a good pro.

Not sure we were ever in for him. Journalists just throw our name in for clicks nowadays.
