Accepted a 6 figure fee for one of our youth team players.

2 more signings are expected by the end of the week.

Waters signs for an undisclosed fee, signed a 3 year deal. Scored goals the last 2 season and is still pretty young so im happy with that.

Gutted about McArdle to be fair. Players like him with his experience are the type I would be keeping, but obviously not at the price Scunthorpe are offering.

We need to sign a couple soon, pre season is only a month away.
I would have kept McArdle but I reckon McCall will want another NKP type who can play it out of the back. Vincelot can cover back there and maybe Kilgallon is close to signing too, all that means I don't think McArdle would have got much of a look in under Stuart.

We have signed free agent Ruben Lameiras. Attacking midfielder out of contract at Coventry. Anyone know much about him?

Hopefully not Carey's replacement though I'm becoming more accepting of the fact that he's probably gone now.

We've sold another youth player for "a six figure fee", and are poised to sign Celtic defender Eoghan O'Connell on a free transfer.

Good player. Really slow and can't move much but is fantastic with the ball at his feet and bringing it out from the back.

We've signed Deji Oshilaja on a free. Think he had a bit of a poor season last but was very good with us the year before.

A slight understatement, he was at times a complete liability. So glad we've not attempted to sign him.

Where as the year before he was absolute quality for us. Time will tell I guess. A player on a defense with no confidence is very different to one in a confident back 4.

The biggest problem with Deji is his tendency to overplay in stupid positions.
Looks quality one minute, then you find yourself screaming "for fucks sake Deji, what are you doing?"

Had Deji for two years, could've been two different players for the differences in his game. First year he was great - athletic, powerful, quick and strong. Last year he was, as Sludge says, a liability. He was far better when he was playing up front - not that he was supposed to be there, but the amount of times he found himself as our most advanced player was staggering for a centre back. No discipline whatsoever!

Far too good for League Two yet he was part of a team that finished bottom of L2? That's not a dig by the way I'm just playing devils advocate. Can he play on the wing and is he quick?
With all due respect, if you've followed our demise you'd have seen that we've been playing with our youth team since January because of our idiot owner cutting costs and sending us into oblivion.

Massey at 23 was one of the more senior players sometimes, which said it all.

He is quick, can beat his man, can deliver a good cross and is good at popping up with the odd goal. Sadly for us he got injured in March, which was a big nail in our coffin because he was one of a few players keeping our league status alive.

We signed him for around £175k last summer, but he has activated a relegation release clause in his contract which means he is avaliable for nothing.

Not possible to have a relegation clause of £0, hence why we had to sign Colin Doyle last summer for a total of £1 after he was relegated with Blackpool

Wouldn't mind Massey, hope the owners can break our a fiver and leave change for 4 more players.

I believe the clause is, if the club went down he could be given a free transfer and released from his contract. Liam Kelly and Jordan Bowery both did the same thing with us and have joined Coventry and Crewe on Frees from us after our relegation.

Either way, if you sign him he'll be a bargain for you on a free.

8 players in, 21 players out for Bury so far. Add in the sales we are generating from our youth team (another big windfall imminent) then it starts to look a bit less questionable.

From us, not Sheff Utd.

He's a very good player if your team is doing well. Not so good on the defensive side of things. You can go an entire game and not see him touch the ball sometimes. Other times he'll win the game for you. I would have kept him, but not on the money he probably wanted, I gather he was one of our big earners. He's the type of player who will always be the look one you look to sub if things need changing, that kind of player.

Not sure how Bury can pay these players we have signed. Must be shit or bust for Day and his 5 year plan. Gates of below 4000 quite often under 3000. Suspect it will be the latter.

Josh Parker has agreed a two-year deal with us. Happy enough with that, he put a proper shift in last season, and scored the goal against Port Vale that ultimately kept us up! Worth a new deal just for that!

We've made our 3rd summer signing - Jon Nolan from Chesterfield for an undisclosed fee and a 3 year contract. Very happy with that signing!

Our record signing Andreas Makris who we signed for €300k from Cyprus side Anorthosis Famagusta is being rumoured to be heading back to Cyprus after 1 season here to sign for APOEL Nicosia for €200k. Some nice bit of business there :ffs:
