Crewe took less to Bury than they took to Mk Dons which is a bit bizarre?

It was £10 a ticket (and £1 for kids) yesterday.

Also, and I’m sure Crewe fans will correct me, but it’s probably about the same journey time once you’ve negotiated getting through or around Manchester. Straight down on the train or M6/M1.

No Bury is pretty simple and takes about half the time as Milton Keynes. We never tend to travel well to Bury to be honest. Probably because we always lose there. The cheap tickets would have made abit of a difference but not huge, I’m sure the £10 saved on a ticket is welcomed by the traveling fans but in the grand scheme of The whole away day it’s not that much.

I'd take a £10 ticket day when we play them (explains the higher home end number at MK as well yesterday) please

Almost sold out our 3747 allocation for Doncaster in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Sends a positive message that not moving FA Cup games around and low ticket prices produces strong support.

County gave us an extra 319 tickets today and they've gone so it's now a 4,273 sell-out.

I don't know whether that's the full stand, or they leave a block spare at the Kop end.

Well I think we actually got slightly less than that last season and there were some space but not much, probably enough to make it 4,273 lol. They didn’t close off a block though.

Is the Lincoln match a 3pm k.o? Anywhere Stags take more than 500 is instantly a 1pm because we are treated more unfairly than even the usual footie fan.

Yep, 3pm.

Not sure we've ever had a 1pm KO with County, home or away.

Maybe when you take over 500 there is a long history of the fans acting like dicks ? Mansfield vs Notts is always going to be an early kick off . Except that random Friday night game a few seasons back . Annoying for all involved but more than understandable

The police lock a gate between the away end at Field Mill for ALL home games, even when 24 Crawley fans show up, it’s a public pathway too.

Mansfield fans are definitely treated unfairly by Nottinghamshire police, I mean apperantly they are not allowed to keep away fans back for 10 minutes but funnily enough other police forces can do it to Mansfield. Maybe that’s changed now though.

I’ve spoken to guy in charge of policing for Mansfield games and he suggests they get less ‘disorder’ for all our 1pm ko (been quite a few) but I don’t believe him.

I am not sure your source regarding "not allowed" to keep away fans back for 10 minutes is not slightly misplaced. The joint Safety Advisory Group (SAG) your club will have agreed guidance on minimising disruption and risk to public safety. The police have considerable powers to prevent public disorder and. if they have reason to believe (including SAG H&S recommendations) disorder may be a high risk then they can act accordingly.

At Sincil Bank this season, I don't recall the gates being locked so you couldn't get out either.

What I will say is the Mansfield game at SB this season has been the only game we have had disorder outside the ground and minor disorder inside the ground- it has happened at no other game including against Vale, Northampton, County, Grimsby etc- it only takes a very small minority to ruin it for the rest of the genuine fans.

As a result of the Mansfield game, the segregation for the Grimsby game was completely revamped at SB and we saw no issues what so ever against Grimsby.

You aren't the only club treated differently though

Two photos from this season- on the left is Lincs Police operation as Grimsby fans arrive on the train for the match last Saturday, on the right is Humberside Police approach to the Lincoln special arriving. Seems we have a Millwall of the North tag as well

Really great turnout- I know on this forum a few bemoaned "Doncaster...again!" but it is 4th round and a great opportunity to progress further.

Will be a great atmosphere

All I know re keeping fans in the stand is the club was told the police cannot/will not do that.

No suggestions here Mansfield don’t have that sort of ‘element’ about it, because we definitely have slightly more trouble than your average L2 club but the way Notts Police go on about it is pretty poor in my opinion.

Still waiting for evidence that 1pm create less disorder from our genuinely friendly head of football police.

Why wouldn’t it create less disorder ? I would imagine less time equals less opportunity equals less disorder .

Either way it’s no big deal as the vast majority of games are Saturday 3pm

Cant remember there being trouble between Lincoln and Notts in the past hence the 3pm kick off.

187 Mariners at FGR I think I just heard. Not really paying too much attention now. Hopefully the bulk of those are SW exiles and don't have too far to go to get back home.

Given the distances and crappy weather conditions I think both those Grimsby and Lincoln numbers are very good.

Fair round of fooks to anyone who went last night.
Both commendable followings for a Tuesday night.

For any fans of either club who went- it wasn't the easiest journey down there or back home if you went the "quickest" route A46/M69/M6/M42/M5- more roadworks than you could shake a stick at, accidents and snow. Both ways!!

Thumbs up to anyone making Tuesday night trips like those

I agree- has always been a decent rapport between Pies and Imps fans. As a club, I can't believe where they are right now- I know no club is "too big" to be relegated from this league however would never have bet County would be there.

Hopefully a big crowd and great atmosphere at the game

But I don't think it is the Notts head of police football- across the country, potentially high risk games often kick off earlier- Notts police don't make it up just for Mansfield Town- the concept is pretty much endemic for a number of fixtures each season.

We’ve never had trouble with Notts. The only time I can ever recall is when they started fighting among themselves back in the days when they could actually sell a full allocation for a local derby.

Enzio? Why will Mansfield/Notts always be an early kick off, They were all 3 o’clocks before we got back into the football league.

Mansfield/Grimsby is a 1pm KO every season now home and away. Absolute bollocks. We take about 800 there and they usually bring around 1200 to us. Can’t recall any trouble before the games started to be moved. Lincoln and Notts also and for some reason we had Coventry at home moved last season aswell.
