Thankfully ours should shoot up a little soon with Macc away next which I'd hope will be 1500 +, then trips to Oldham, Tranmere and Vale still to come.

Big bump for Lincoln and Mansfield when they take a MASSIVE following to County over the next few weeks.

Our remaining away games are either close (Notts, Mansfield and, to a point, MK) or miles away (Carlisle, Crawley, FGR, Newport, Morecambe).

No in between there!

Ours will probably fall a little to the end of the season. 1 win in 9 away games will take its toll eventually.

MK have a habit of emphasising their own tinpottery by letting bumper away crowds outnumber them. I remember back in the League One days, Wolves successfully ran a 9K2MK campaign.
Makes financial sense though, it’s essentially another match-days worth of income, probably more given all are paying rather than STH.

Does, and you can bet on Dickleman to take that view. There are a good number of clubs in this division (ourselves included) who have enough spare stadium space to offer ridiculous away allocations if we so desired. Never known us to offer more than about 3000 though, like most clubs the idea of being outnumbered by away fans just doesn't sit well with us, neither does turfing ST holders out of their usual places to create more room for away fans.

Lincoln visit us with only four more games (including ours) left of the season. Good chance for it being the game that confirms promotion for them, or if not then very close to. We'll probably offer them the full 3000 allocation of the away section in the East Stand and the Waterworks End in either case, we won't be offering them any more than that though, even if there's still 10,000 unused capacity in the stadium.

Sure Coventry and Sheff Utd both took 7000 to 9000 in League one days recently.

We’ve sold 3600 now for Notts. Today was the first day of general sale, Hoping we are going to get some more. Love a cup final

Well it’s utterly MASSIVE so we need to sell out our cup final. Surely they’ll give us more though.

Got to make the most of the game, may be a long while before we meet again

Crewe is hardly more glamorous either. Strange one Colchester although issue with Vale Park is that it’s not easy by train as Stoke is a few miles away and doubt many away fans even know Longport exists!
I’m sure the relative ease of public transport is a factor. The time I visited Vale Park by that means involved bus from Stoke to Burslem
on the outwood leg as so few trains stopped at Longport, but did come back by train. Don’t know if the service to Longport has improved since.

Agree with this. Few of our longer trips Cambridge Exeter and Crawley still to come.

Bit surprised at Bury’s travelling support given the good season they’re having. Crewe’s seemed quite low, but as mentioned above some of their more local aways still to come.

It certainly feels like your cup final . According to your very close friend it could be the last ever meeting ! :ffs:

Not bad considering everyone assumed the country would be knee deep in snow chaos and was only rearranged less than a fortnight ago.

Got to be the lowest league away following we’ve took for years though... I recall going Lincoln one December Tuesday night and was about 90 of us there in 2009 but can’t recall any lower than that one.

hardly surprising given our recent performances. Not sure what the weather was like for those travelling but most of the roads out of Buxton are closed.
