That’s a piss poor allocation at Notts County, when that side stand holds over 4000. Is it just this low because Grimsby have some naughty boys.

Been covered already mate but nope this is the most they've allocated since Chesterfield got the same in 21/22. Stand isn't fit for purpose for 4000 apparently. They only gave us 2000 for the playoffs. Be a bit embarrassing if we don't sell out tbh after the way we've carried on about allocations there.

I'm sure he's on the windup as per usual.

Our ticket sales have been poor for this game. Apparently we're no longer opening the QLE due to poor sales in there.

I remember having a genuine interest in the league cup, though it was always (and always has been) 2nd to the FA Cup, this hasn't really been the case since we were back in the league (now over a decade ago).

I actually can't remember the last time I went to a league cup game, though would be nice of course to go on a little run and get some money, as would anyone in the league.

Also, If the round is regionalised they should do seeds - with the unseeded side to play at home as is the model in Germany.

I knew there was something going round that the capacity had been reduced to 3,300 or so with rows down the front (obv a Notts fan can state what it actually is).

They'll need the 3,300 or whatever it is for October, Maybe they might be better giving that Kop to away fans again, it's far too big for the home fans (appreciate it's a tidy ground with 4 sides before anyone comes back!)

Expected surely I’m not going have zero interest in the game, on the other hand I’m pretty sure Grimsby away in the league is sold out.

Yeah can't wait to nearly get crushed in that death trap again

That concourse is an accident waiting to happen with 4000 in to be fair.

The rows at the front are empty but they don't give all the way down to the right hand side of the stand now either. You might get 3300 but I wouldn't be surprised if what we got is the max.

The thing is I seem to remember they block off the far side of the concourse, so it's not like the 2500 or whatever fans get the extra space down to the end, they're still confined to the bit of concourse and bars that are open for the blocks that have fans in.

Sold out for Crawley in a couple of weeks, around 1150 or so I think - surely there will be an extra allocation?

Also sold out the initial 750 for Sutton, been given a further 350 which will go pretty easily too.

Shame that our local games have such poor allocations to be honest, Wimbledon isn't particularly big either. Would be great if we had some local games with 3/4k allocations like some further north, not saying we'd necessarily take that many but it'd be good to have the option!

MK Dons is big, think it's over 3000 as standard but can increase it by a significant amount.

True, it's not particularly local though! 2h 30 from Medway on a good day is being realistic. Very local to me though, only half an hour away and my local game this year now Northampton have gone up and Cambridge had the temerity to not get relegated as they should've done.

You would give them your money? It's an away ground that I will never tick off. I mentally vom when I see the massive away support some teams take there

Don't worry they just make local games like Doncaster away when we would take 3,000 a Tuesday night when instead the delights of Gillingham, Sutton and Newport are Saturdays :ffs:

Last few times I've been there I've got in for free using a scouts pass. They give you a free cuppa before the game which in fairness not many clubs do, free parking, plus they put you right next to the hospitality bit so you can probably help yourself to some free food as well if you fancy. Then just claim to a steward I've gone in the wrong entrance by mistake and they let you walk round to the away section no problem at all.

So no, I don't give them anything!

Yeah not exactly local really then! Similarish distance to us and Notts though but then admittedly we've also got Donny and Bradford closer.

I’ve always found Rochdale particularly bad. We regularly sell out circa 3,400 ish and honestly, I’ve never known a concourse more cramped.

We were given and sold out over 5,000 for MK a few seasons ago
Remember that one, wasn't it a last day of the season toe to toe for the third auto spot? The highest profile of all the Stag bottlings. Massive crowd I seem to remember.

The worst I've been in is probably the side they put away fans in at Crystal Palace. It's about the width of a train carriage. Was absolute bedlam in there when we went in the FA Cup a few seasons back. Security lost control, beers in the stand all over the shop.

Yeah, it was an epic day, made even better with a booby prize of a playoff trip to Newport the following weekend. Flitcroft was an EPIC bottler, for us not to go up that season from where we were was basically impossible.

5 minutes into that game against Newport we're in we're clear through 1 on 1 about 25 yards out - the defender misses the tackle and the ref only gave a yellow  :ffs:

I don't bother with these games anymore. Although crowds used to be slightly lower than League games I can't remember them being as sparse as they are now.

He came out and defended that decision because Macca is used to playing right wing. What a fucking helmet Flitcroft is.

For the first time in his career, in a final game of the season promotion decider in front of 20 plus thousand.

Some actually defended him and that decision too.
