You "got the fuck out of there" after a nearly forty years :fl: . Brilliant.

This length of time explains your obvious dislike of your big Nottinghamshire brother.

West Bridgford is lovely, top choice, an East Midlands gem of a place.
I got the fuck out as soon as i could because i could afford to at 52 so i could retire in leisure hence never done a days work since and never worry about anything life throws at me :woo:

Overseas? Sounds like the dream ☀️ but does that mean you've had to give up (regular) trips to the One Call Stadium to see your Staggies?

I managed 4 years in Greece but I’m glad I recently moved back to the UK. July and August were horrendously hot and you end up locked in your house with the air con on. And without being morbid I didn’t want to die out there.

It sure was a strange opening post from yourself. If you don't want to talk about crime in major cities and towns probably best not asking the question you did fella. If you are that interested type the question into Google rather than on this forum.

So we aren't allowed to call Grimsby or Mansfield a shithole now when they clearly are? :ffs: That's PC gone too far for me, I hope I didn't upset you but I suspect you knew this anyway so shouldn't be RATTLED.

I don't live in Nottingham or anywhere near. Used to but not for some time now, moved to sunnier climes.

Talking of perceived odd behaviour and taking a weird morale high ground , let's get back on topic and care about who's going to displace Notts from the top of the willy waving grade A averages for away support.
I forgot how painstakingly arduous hitting reply on one of your posts can be.

Yeah I had him on ignore for the past 6 years but I thought he might’ve changed so took him off it but I can see he’s sadly still exactly the same boring c*** that he was before.
I’d actually rank him below Carver which is quite some going

I wondered who returned when the ‘Show Ignored Content’ shown up. I am yet to click on it but I think I’ve figured it out.

Hey you went swimming without armbands. That's on you buddy.

So many inaccurate and frankly made up pop shots aimed at the world's oldest club. I wasn't expecting it after a few years away #stained I just forgot how sensitive you and the usual suspects were when a reply came back in your direction.

But by all means keep them coming be it on topic (away followings) or about the crime rates of major cities in the UK?! :dk:

Close to selling out our initial 500 allocation for Wimbledon, hopefully they send us a few more or we can pay on the day.

Good going that, that’s hundreds more than Notts County managed on a Saturday last time they visited.

I find (historically speaking) Notts to not be a very good following when coming to Wrexham (last season aside) they barely managed 700 which is the upper tier.

Last season they brought a full allocation but that was only due to being a early title decider.

Mansfield away on a Tuesday night and taking 1700 is impressive, for someone in league 2. Then the Saturday after we have an allocation of 1600 at Crawley. See how many we take down there!

Only Stockport, Tranmere and Luton sold out pretty much every time they came to us in non-league, from memory. I'm sure even Chester failed to sell out once, lol.

Luton might've failed if we put them behind the goal tbf but I'm not 100%. Always remember their crowds being decent though and we always took a lot down there.

They're only going because they've heard that they might get a sighting of some owners who pose in front of cameras and prance around in silly costumes in their day jobs. However, I'm not actually sure if the Radfords have confirmed they'll even be at this one.

If only there was some sort of willy waving away followings table for the enthusiasts out there.

What there is? And someone has worked out the averages this early in the season? Marvellous, might have look myself.

You’ve got a good memory. Other than last season we’ve been to the Racecourse once in a ‘normal’ game ( non covid) in 15ish years, which was a bank holiday on the telly. Before that, it was the mid 2000s when, let’s face it, many of the clubs now giving it the big one on here also had piss poor followings, including I would venture, Wrexham.

You know what, I do when it comes to football and I remember very good away followings at Wrexham. Notts was always piss poor but at the time we were playing Birmingham, Citeh, Burnley, Preston who had really good followings, before we eventually got relegated to non league.

You're right though when, even ourselves, didn't have massive followings. I don't live in the past now, and glad to see full away allocations no matter who we are playing this season! Even long trips like Swindon and Donny have had full allocations.

I see history conveniently forgotten in this new era aka the L2 boom period.

Pre Ryan and Rob, and for as long as I have been watching, Wrexham's attendances have always been piss poor. Awful long before relegation to Non League#stain

Now of course they are a different beast and both promoted clubs are welcome additions to this level of football, bringing lots to the table in the 2023/24 season.

We’ve definitely come late to the decent away following party, but there’s no doubt getting out of non league has a massive effect. I don’t ever remember being surprised or impressed by how many Grimsby brought until their first time out a few years back. Us near enough selling out Salford on a Friday would be near enough unthinkable even in a promotion season.

It’s a tremendous development, we’ve had 8,000 in the past for a derby v the Staggies I’m pretty confident this year will be a 16,000ish sellout.

Been mentioned before but Swindon tickets at £27? No thanks! Not after we got battered 5-0 in the rain last season.

You know what an anagram of Swindon is? SWINDNO.

How old are you? We've took like 3/4000 to you back in the 00s, can't remember the exact figure but it was a whopper. Took almost 2500 in a crowd of less than 7000 in the dark ages of the 2010s too. Think I only remember once we've brought less than 1500.

Selling out Salford is okay too but it's not a willy waver at all. Bang in Manc and only 1000. Can't be celebrating that too hard if you want to be taken seriously in this thread.

45 though I look 28. So people tell me.

I tend to save the willy waving for someone as easily impressed as Mrs EndisNigh, but I’m not saying taking 1000+ to Salford is worthy of it I’m saying it’s very good for us.

As for your other two claims, I’ll take em on the chin, but I certainly don’t remember Grimsby followings being as consistently anywhere good as they are now. When did they start publishing em?

I do remember Town brining some very impressive numbers in the past to the Lane. However Grimsby have certainly brought under 1500 more than once, more likely under 1000. Which of course is absolutely fine.

Overall very decent number, like many, it's their home numbers that have tended to have been the issue.

Mansfield away on a Tuesday night has sold out for Wrexham.

Decent that, should be another 8000+ crowd for us then. Love a full house under the lights!

Bradford fans what did we allocate you? I know you sold out so presume it was the 1671 that was announced on the day as I think that’s how we announce our attendances now by tickets sold not numbers through the gate but noticed we’ve given Wrexham 1721. I know it’s not many more but baffled as to why. Swear we pick a figure out of a hat

That's a good question, I don't actually know when away attendances started getting published. Was definitely before page 1 of this thread though, we lost data when the old TFF admins had their almighty tantrum and took their ball home. I wanna say I remember away threads as far back as like 2005/06 though maybe? But it wasn't like nowadays when most are announced and recorded, seem to remember there being loads of gaps and several teams that didn't announce any.

You're right too in our followings, they weren't as good back then across the board. We were usually up there in this division still but I think things really kicked up a gear when we were down in the Conference the first time.
