Well with salford it’s a pretty easy one - if there’s 2 areas in the country you don’t basically start a new club it’s london and manchester

As such even success will see attendances stunted and it’s hard to see them ever having a fan base over 3,000 (which in itself is still a massive increase from where they were) whereas if you’ve sides like mansfield/grimsby for example there is always the potential for reasonable fan growth given there isn’t any huge club in your own backyard, especially now both have proper owners. Lincoln are another example of that.

I’ve always wondered why the neville’s never took over bury instead, would’ve made a lot more sense to me.

Darn and drat!

You both can't have been kicked off'd out of top spot. You can fight it out who really should be No1 instead of Notts County FC.

Likewise.

If it wasn’t for poor allocations ….
We're a bit down this season for whatever reason. Didn't sellout Notts, less than 700 to Walsall (train strikes and don't traditionally travel well there), Sky'd out of 2k+ at the weekend and then we've not sold out Wrexham yet. Worried that we might get that tinpottery award of being the first to not sell out there. If that happens my defence will be that we aren't bothered about Rob and Ryan unlike everyone else.

This is pretty much exactly how I did it when I did it a few months back, except I made it a full pyramid by splitting the classic section into an upper and lower section and then had one big bottom tier.

We should get this out to the FA. Anyone above Colchester is exempt from relegation to non-league.

Tranmere fans absolutely scrambling to get the paperwork done.

Looking like we’ll sell out Salford or near enough on Friday. Not used to this madness.

Slightly off-topic, but Middlesborough have sold their allocation (4,000) for our game at Valley Parade in two weeks time.

Looking forward to seeing a decent following at VP for a change.

We’re in Top Tinpotters? That’s something to add to the honours list

Great to join the club, especially impressive as we don't have the added inherient advantage of loving in a deprived shithole of a town. Always more attractive to go on your travels when you live in {fill in blank}.

Have Boro fans always been this good, I only really started noticing them a few seasons ago post-COVID.

Isn't Shottingham consistently up there in the UK with the likes of London and Glasgow for gun/knife crime and muggings?

I don't know you tell me? Is it?

I doubt they are going to include prosperous towns such as Grimsby on the database. The highest casualty rate in those sort of areas are usually alcohol related rumoured to be as a result of boredom and depression.

I’ve always known them to travel in good numbers. They’re taking 3,000 to Blackburn this weekend - decent, given how bobbins they are.

Just come across this set of stats on Wiki.
Seems attendances are slowing creeping up.
And last season Bradford almost averaged a fantastic 18,000. This season only slightly lower number but still excellent for a 4th tier club in bottom half of table.

Fat lot of good this does us. Realistically it's more embarrassing for us especially when compared to the league average.

Despite us giving season tickets away in packets of Seabrooks, the fact we can't escape this league with those sorts of crowds is a source of embarrassment. Took us six years last time and I don't see us going anywhere this season so next year will be a repeat. It's unacceptable really.

It's certainly underwhelming. Your support is fantastic and whatever the costs of tickets and marketing ploys it's great for your city to have the club as a centre of focus.
Much as I loathe Forest it's good for the city to have a PL club rather than Derby or Leicester, it makes the whole city feel more important. It shouldn't but along with having good universities from outside that's what people look at.

Bradford wins the award of the highest list in our league in the “crap towns” 2023 in 8th place, with notable mentions of grimsby (30th) MK (36th) and doncaster (43rd)

Obviously all in jest but i’m always mildly amused by these types of stats.

Though i’m sure many would agree with title of the crappest town - luton.

What they giving out this season pal? Fucking knobs only get about 1500/2000 in themselves and always refuse to give anymore than whatever they can stick in the stand behind the goal

Not selling out Wrexham this season is a badge of honour for us not tin-pot. we do things like take nearly 500 to Barrow on a Tuesday night, Wrexham is just another game with 300 plus mile round trip - typically 700-800 following for us. In fact, I’d argue the contrary - clubs with fans that clamour for tickets for Wrexham away and then can’t take more than a few hundred to other games that are only couple of hours away are the real tinpotters…

All I'm saying is one man's shithole is another man's wanting to be able to walk along and not have to worry about getting robbed.

Oh I thought you were going to comeback with some stats and facts.

You will be delighted to know that Nottingham's least common crime is robbery. You are far more likely to get robbed in Grimbo, so stay safe fella. Maybe stick to the more salubrious Cleethorpes..

You "got the fuck out of there" after a nearly forty years :fl: . Brilliant.

This length of time explains your obvious dislike of your big Nottinghamshire brother.

West Bridgford is lovely, top choice, an East Midlands gem of a place.

I didn't come here to engage in a Grimsby vs Nottingham tit for tat for a variety of reasons, not sure why you're bringing Grimsby into it. A bit RATTLED maybe? I was merely asking about violent crimes in Nottingham, so also not sure why you'd think I was gonna come back with some stats when it was me initially posing the question. What I was insinuating was that calling other places shitholes and taking this weird morale high ground because you live in/are from/support the football team of a small to medium sized city not without its flaws is odd behaviour.

It sure was a strange opening post from yourself. If you don't want to talk about crime in major cities and towns probably best not asking the question you did fella. If you are that interested type the question into Google rather than on this forum.

So we aren't allowed to call Grimsby or Mansfield a shithole now when they clearly are? :ffs: That's PC gone too far for me, I hope I didn't upset you but I suspect you knew this anyway so shouldn't be RATTLED.

I don't live in Nottingham or anywhere near. Used to but not for some time now, moved to sunnier climes.

Talking of perceived odd behaviour and taking a weird morale high ground , let's get back on topic and care about who's going to displace Notts from the top of the willy waving grade A averages for away support.
