I’m trying to remember if Bradford sold out this season, with Grimsby and Donny not selling out that leaves Notts County who, lest we forget only brought 1100 odd last time (14 miles) :D potentially being the only time the North Stand is sold out this season.

Ha oh yeah. How could i forgot, it was the picture of Alan Hardy crying which was the best part though, a very satisfying image.

In reality notts might still be in the playoffs by then so i’d imagine they’d sell out.

The logistics are a bit of a nightmare going to Field MFI, plus we always get spanked there. Lots of nightmare perfomances and results that understandably put fans off.

Saying that a quick look at the away followings to date this season and there is only one side who take more away from home. True story.

What was full attendance at: -
MK v Colchester (552 away)
&
Newport v FGR (274 away) ?

Re: Mansfield fans saying they'd have taken 1300+ to BP for an early kickoff if they were down in our position. You brought 856 to us on New Year's Day 2019 for a 1pm kickoff, when you were in the top half of the table.

Conker, Adam tell me that isn't true. Tell me SoC is viciously spreading lies to defend the honour of GTFC and their recognised excellent and disproportional away support?

No way would Mansfield take less than 900 to Grimsby especially during the festive/new year's period. I don't believe it. I won't believe it!

There has to be a reason!!! Train strike? Monsoon? Failing that just blame Keith Haslam like usual.

But if that is true that would explain the 422 who went to Sutton recently

We've sold our 'initial' 800 odd for Wrexham on New Year's Day. Assume that'll be it at this stage and won't get any more.
Bottom tier went on sale earlier today, expecting those to sell?

We've sold behind the goal so talking another 12k+ crowd. Didn't expect this one to be quite the occasion it has become.

I remember that, got changed like a week before as nottinghamshire police changed the time at short notice on their “advice”

I was one of those who couldn’t go who had a ticket as couldn’t get back up in time as already had planned around it.

Wrexham are still way ahead and don't think anybody is going to catch them.

"Only". With the exception of Bradford and the Hollywood Effect, there's no other team in this division taking 1200 supporters for an early kick off with no trains, 80 miles away, after no away wins in 17, to a side undefeated at home

I wondered how many bites I would get.

Or that's just using the classic 'get out of jail free card' after saying something stupid and then realising after the comments come in.

A good move northstandexile, I'm fact the only move.

Many.

You always find those who always bang on about attendances are those failing on the pitch, a true reflection in your bites.

That's often the case , Grimsby and Bradford both being prime example. A simple and relatively effective diversion tactic.

However in this example the comments come from fans of clubs sitting currently in 2nd, 5th and 19th. Awful example Adam..

Football fans, especially lower league ones, will always talk enthusiastically Nd bang on about attendances especially when their attendances have taken an impressive and very significant positive jump.

I've seen a fair few comments from people trying to get spares when the initial batch went. I think we will sell a few more but whether the full 250 will go I don't know.

I was waiting this from you but our fanbase has grown since then. I’m fully aware we did not use to take those numbers, but it’s different now son, you’re talking five whole years ago in which our crowds have increased year on year, it’s a pretty useless comparison at this point unfortunately, we all know how much we have kicked on since then.

Back to the present season, sold out our initial 700 for Morecambe on the 13th with another batch coming so should be a good following.

Well the short notice of kick off change didn’t help either.

In other news we’ve sold the initial 700 allocation morecambe sent us already, another 600 on the way.

It would also be very different chap if you were 19th this season and having not won a single away game in 12 attempts. It's great that clubs such as Mansfield and others have seen big growth in their support but in that scenario your message board would be in turmoil, there would no doubt be calls for the manager's sacking and plenty of chance of another 850 following rather than the confidently suggested 1200.

Understandable giddy statement.

Well, you've been up in the playoff spots ever since the COVID restart, which is when your attendances have kicked on so as has been said, it's hard to say what you'd bring if you were down in the bottom third of the table as you haven't been down there since you've seen an increase.

They must have changed the kickoff time the next season when you brought 681 on a Saturday as well then?

Yeah I’m just going off my genuine opinion which is with it being Boxing Day, if the tides were turned I think we’d do 1300 now. Not a crazy opinion all considered.

I don't know where this hypothetical 1300 has come from anyway. The away end was always about 1700/1800 and now it's been slashed to about 900. 1300 if it was ever an allocation would have just been an initial allocation, unless I'm mistaken.

That's my original point - we weren't travelling well (or at home) really before Covid - almost as if it's re-set after Covid/the appointment of Clough. 700 for Morecambe 2 weeks before the game is a cracking effort in itself, hardly round the corner.

To be getting the attendances we do both home and away is a great effort - but you also see it in other clubs too - I looked up the attendance in the game you mentioned and saw how few home fans you had also - not something you yourselves would have now.

Almost like SoC says you have been at the right end of the table since covid.

As for us, almost like we might have got new owners since our home attendances increased! Away has always been decent.

BP away allocation is either 1250 or tinpot in the Osmond corner.

856 and 681 to a guaranteed 1200/1300 even if 19th and winless away is some effort in under 5 years.

Viva COVID but damn those changed kickoff times at short notice :bg:
