Clubs can only issue tickets for 90% of the stand capacity when it is unreserved seating. That's why you see odd spare seats everywhere in such situations.

So, why were Orient given more tickets than us for their game at Cambridge? "Police advice?"
Not that I think we would've sold them out anyway.
Because your fans are a bunch of hooligans who stabbed a copper last time we gave you that terracing along the side?

That can't be right - as dear Eric has told us, Oxford are a much bigger club than we'll ever be. They must have missed a '1' from in front of their attendance.

Ps. Took more to the Abbey than Barceluton as well. How odd...

Prick.

Try finding out the facts before you try taking the piss. Our Northampton tickets never made general sale, sold out to season ticket holders in two days.

See you next month.

On a sidenote, we sold out our 5700 allocation for Liverpool last week. Didn't make general sale, either.

Looking forward to it, should be a good night.

How does that work? You can't have 5,700 season ticket holders? Well done by the way, good support, hope you beat the team that prevented us playing in Europe the one and only time we qualified, due to the ban on English clubs at the time.

1500 season ticket holders, each were entitled to 2 tickets. All members of the official supporter groups were entitled to 2 tickets. And then they used the Barnet game (last weekend) as an incentive, as each stub was worth 2 tickets.

Ah, so plenty of opportunity for non season ticket holders to get a ticket. Our tickets for Northampton were season ticket holders only, one per person. Not knocking you, that's great support.

I'm probably being whooshed here, but seriously Laker, I thought better of you than to repeat that lie. Just have a word with the Cambs police who put out a statement at the time saying that there was no such stabbing incident.

It was a whoosh, I'm disappointed it took that long - only a tiddler sadly. :fish: We all know nothing happened despite the rather toxic atmosphere generated that day.

Going back to Kenny's original point, the reason Luton were not given that stand was because Cambridgeshire Police clearly see Luton has high risk and therefore charge us the earth to house you in there. It's frankly not very beneficial to us to put you there from a financial perspective. Leyton Orient, on the other hand, posed a lower threat (in the eyes of Cambridgeshire's finest) and were given the stand. Simple really.

Cheers Laker, trouble is that just posting a statement like that with no further comment leads people to believe it and repeat it as truth, which is how the story developed in the first place.

Well, how that part started was a steward getting a hand injured, but in a tussle not a "stabbing".

It doesn't have the same ring to it, does it?

Pompey stewards were truly awful. Worst I have ever experienced.

We played there last week - one of our fans told Gary Roberts to F off after he collided with one of our players and the stewards told all the fans sat in that area we were on a "final warning" - good job John Coleman wasn't sat there he swears all the time!

Cambridgeshire Police are definitely trying to kick something up that clearly isn't there. There was a statement on our website a few days before the game saying that 'persistent standing' would result in lower ticket allocations.

Now it didn't directly affect me on Saturday but why do people insist on standing when there are people behind them trying to sit down? It just seems a bit ignorant to me.

All part of the me, me, me generation. I want to stand, so I'm going to stand, and I don't care how many other people are going to be affected, or what the law is, 'cos I'm going to do what I want, so there.

Personally I don't care if people stand or sit, but if you want to stand, get in earlier and get to the back, rather than arrive bang on kick off time and stand in front of people who are already in their seats.

Better still, allow grounds to have standing areas. Surely the 'powers' that be can see from every single game on TV that a lot of people want to stand, and thousands of others are being forced to stand as a result.

Rant over.

We've about sold out Wimbledon, I think. Really looking forward to this one, we don't get to play many teams for the first time.

You've sold your seated allocation (80). You've got about 400 terrace tickets in addition. If you're on the terrace and under 6'6" get in there early - shallow rake and bloody awful 'view'!

We sold out the seating ages ago and just over half of the initial terracting tickets. It's now been made pay on the day, which I expect to lead to a bit of fun, because i'd expect us to bring more than that 400. The only reason we've not sold many in advance is that Notts haven't advertised the small away allocation really at all.

Agree with Jacob, Notts travel well down south cause we have a lot of South based fans...

I'd expect around 600 on the day
