Good job we got the title sewn up last week, Colchester won't be easy next Saturday either. Is my maths right, are we level on the best defensive record with Mansfield?

As you were pretty much in the playoff race. We were pretty poor second half though we had a lot of walking wounded. At 4-0 you might have backed us to get into the playoffs on goal difference should it come up it but at 4-2 we just have to hope we can win and nobody else does.

Bye everyone

Seeing a team relegated to non-league brings back memories of that horrible feeling in the stomach from four seasons ago after we lost to Oxford United. Good luck for next season, a non league promotion push still beats a football league relegation battle!

People who play in the defensive positions for sale. I would call them defenders but bloody hell this is getting silly.

On a positive note. Second goal in two games for ANG. I watch him and feel he needs more physicallity to be a league footballer but then he wanders past a couple of players and something happens, a shot, a cross or we get a free kick. A useful attribute for a player to have.

Thank God we're having a wobble after we've won the league.
Danny didn't sound too happy after, expecting an reaction next week in our final game.
Haven't scored for 3 and half games, longest barren run since the Cowleys took over I think?

Sounded like we weren't too short of chances today.

Oh just great.

The only team in the football league who we always seem to beat are now relegated from it. :(

We will have to become someone else's bogey team now..

Think Crawley have a better case than Yeovil to call us bogey team. Yeovil did beat us at Brunton Park earlier on this season if you hadn't forgotten.

Is it really a wobble or just the players on a promotion hangover? I expected your loss last week, but I would be surprised if you didn't win any of your last three games.

Bit of a promotion hangover, I think.

We've not been playing badly per se, just not quite a finely tuned as we have been this season. That, and giving players a breather at various stages over the last 3 or 4 games - Pett, O'Connor, Andrade, Anderson, Rowe, McCartan, Gilks (and Shackell suspended).

Good win for us, just about keeps us in the play-off mix and in our hands. Pretty even game which I’d say we edged based on the clear cut chances created and obviously the goal. Day didn’t have a save to make while the Lincoln keeper made a few good saves. The strong wind played a big part, Lincoln went ultra direct as a result hoofing it to The Busdriver and Akinde from the off. Fair play to Rhead for making a living out of football but he’s a liability, hooked off at half-time before he was sent off. Safe to say making him skipper for the day didn’t go as planned. Guess he’ll be released back to non-league in the summer.
Hopefully we will have Matt and Labadie back this week. We’ve missed them in last 2-3 games.
All to play for v Oldham. Our record v Morecambe is crap so that’ll be tough too.
Cracking season for us regardless of what happens this week.

Do most clubs here still produce programmes after the vote last summer?

Barnet were the only side in the National League to do an online version which you printed at home or professionally............

New contract. Effective plan "B", and we need a good driver to find all the new grounds we will visit.

Last game of a topsy turvy season for us this weekend. Started with a 6-0 win, then went shit and we lost a game 6-0, then another great run after Xmas, followed by another dip and now finishing with a a possible 5 game winning run.

There is 2 full coaches of Crewe fans making a weekend of it in Cleethorpes, so I'm guessing there will be some very drunken fans in the away end this weekend. Think we've only sold 200 odd tickets so there won't be a massive number in total, probably 300.

It would be nice to finish on a high, we've played some great football over recent weeks. Heard abit of talk of another academy 11 for this game, but I can't see it, will probably be a similar team to recent weeks.

Grimsby 1-2 Crewe (Thomas, Porter, Kirk) 4,788 (311 railwaymen)

That will be 0-2 then as Thomas won’t play. Fell out with manager about a month ago and not been in squad since.

A bit like after we beat FGR at Wembley to get back in the league. We had already relegated Halifax in The Trophy Final a week later, only to lose 1-0. It then turned out afterwards that the whole team had been on a weeks bender celebrating and only had one training session on the day before the Halifax game.

When we lose to Crewe on Saturday that will be 6 points picked up from our final 12 games, and we only picked up 5 points from our first 10 games.
Yet somehow we’ve stayed well clear of the relegation battle.
Fucking weird league.

Bury on Saturday away, somehow beat these in November, hopefully they've had a good sesh since last night and we beat them but not overly arsed either way, just glad its all over and can enjoy weekends again for three months or so.

1 point more than last season which afterwards vowed the club should never allow happen again... they did. huge summer ahead, if we finish 21st which is possible if Cambridge win then we will actually beat last year as our worst ever league finish. Considering we've been around since 1876 that makes the last two seasons pretty bloody shit!
