You tend to try and make a rivalry that historically is not there why.......Liverpool and Everton think you are a joke

So you give us shit for no reason and carried it on for 25 years yet we never played you in the interim
What have you to be having a go at FGR they are irrelevant in the grand scheme of things....just a happy go lucky club.
Not sure if i have told you to get fucked today ? so if i have not get fucked
Everybody thinks Bolton are a joke. I know Manchester United fans who do not even care what division you are in because it means nothing to them. I also know lots of Liverpool and Everton supporters who were delighted when we got promoted two years running. You know nothing about football and prove it on a daily basis. There is no rivalry between us and Bolton. We just do not like the arrogance and nastiness of your club and fans. All you ever have in the way of a response to anybody who proves you wrong is either childish or personal abuse. I pity you. It must be awful being you.

Can you even read properly. That contained not one single element of having a go at FGR. Only your response did. 2000 League Cup semi final was not 25 years ago. Calenders are now seemingly added to your growing list of ineptitudes. There really is no end to the quantity of your lack of knowledge. A bottomless well of stupidity.

Crawley have had a pre game show on youtube for most of this season.

Its a mixture of news, silly games and interviews mixed in with messages from the companies that sponsor the club.

It doesnt take itself too seriously and, although professionally produced and filmed, it has that back of a fag packet scripting that keeps it delightfully amateurish.

Its named "The Talk of the Town".

We've had the same thing - we called it "Inside CTFC". I don't think I've seen any of them but they get a good rep on Twitter.

How is Tony Craig doing?
Played all but one game. Personally think he is a bit slow but he does a good job of organising an inexperienced back four/five.

Just getting an inkling he is playing too deep and dragging our defence back but watching on TV so I may be wrong.

Overall a good signing for us.

Can we ditch the 22 man squads too, ridiculous in a pandemic when teams are playing so regularly.

Fantastic news regarding the wage cap.

It wasn’t fair for clubs like Bradford City, Bolton, Sunderland, Portsmouth amongst many others, whose revenue was significantly higher than the wage cap allowed them to spend - whilst still adhering to FFP.

The fact that FFP was never policed correctly in the first place was the primary reason for introducing the wage caps; in the same breathe, punishing clubs like mine into spending the same amount as a club like Harrogate for example - or Sunderland having to spend the same amount as Accrington. Mind boggling and unfair on so many levels.

Wages should be based on a percentage of turnover - and it needs to be policed correctly.

for this season with no fans in it was probably not a bad idea...

As long as clubs who abuse the system are properly punished and limits are set on what they can spend out of their income.

Exactly.

Adhere to the percentage of turnover set for that particular league (whatever it may be) and it’s fair.

That simple. I think only 2 clubs from our league opposed of the wage cap - obviously we was one of them.

There will be a lot of disgruntled chairman in the lower leagues this afternoon. Love to see it.

We voted against the cap so assume Carol will be happy with that. Felt it stifled the bigger clubs to grow or recover if drop down.

It needs some control. Salford for example but more on club sustainability. Why should a club who have a £4 million turn over only be allowed to spend the same as one with £1.5 million for example.

As difficult as it might be to believe for some on here Tranmere are under or on the limit. We do not pay big wages. Our squad is 29 players. 4 of them are youth players and 4 more under 21 (5 including loanee Lee O'Connor). No doubt a certain person on here will be consulting his Big Book of Incorrect Facts but it will be a waste of time.

I dont agree with wage caps or the FFP.

For a start why should a club with more fans be able to spend more than a club with less? If the answer is more fans equals more money coming into the club therefore they have a right to spend it then I will reply..."Our owner is richer than your owner therefore we should be able to spend more than you" *

The amount of money a club should be able to spend should be dependent on the amount of money a club has (legally) coming in not It's source. Why can't a rich person plough cash into their club? And let's all be honest. How many clubs in the football league are propped up by wealthy investors now or in the past? Nearly all I would say.

The problem is not a rich person spending their cash on a football club. It's owners saddling a club with debt in the hope of making money from It's sale or getting an unrealistic return in the future. What I can agree with is there should be a cap on the amount of loans a club can owe to the members of the board/owners etc. Find a way to do that and a lot of the problems, except jealousy, disappear.

Casey

*to be clear I'm not saying Crawley's owners are the wealthiest. I'm just using an example.

Disagree. The less clubs rely on rich owners the more clubs can be run sustainably and ideally owned by their fans. Get the money men out of football for good and it would be better for everyone imo.

If a club gets bigger crowds/bigger income then they should be able to spend more then the clubs with less fans/lower income. Main thing is clubs stay solvent.
