Good thing about getting up to Carlisle recently was finding an excellent chippy that not only sold haggis (and chips with gravy) but also Dandelion and Burdock. That is the true king of soft drinks.

Get out of here with that lunacy
Terrible aren't they!

Going back years now but on an away day I can still remember paying about £10 for a Wimpy and getting 8 chunky chips with my (average) burger. Heartbreaking.

Most chippy's here sell it. I tend to buy the occasional 2 litre bottle when I'm parched. :D

Normal Coke is absolutely rancid. Fuck it off.

Pepsi Max is in the God tier, and there's nothing anybody can do about it.

Most normal soft drinks are too sweet for me these days tbh, used to love Dr Pepper as well but don’t touch it now.

Pepsi Max 100% beats them both hands down.

Indeed. I always go for non sugary drinks but if I'm forced to choose between Pepsi and Coke I'd go for Pepsi. But tbh if I want a non diet soft drink then (don't laugh at the back!) it's Dr Pepper.

ps - haha just seen Chris's post. I still love the Doc but sugar's bad for you etc etc.

I still find myself reminiscing about McD’s still Fanta before they replaced it with (rancid) berry flavour Oasis.

Fizzy drinks are for losers, there I said it.

Don't do the big fast food chains much but BK definitely has the best burgers.

Out here the best fast food is the kebabs and rice with salads and I'm all over that to be honest. Miles better than the above.

Drink is either someone's homebrew or Ayran which is a salty yoghurty type thing.

I think I'm the only person in the UK never to have had a Costa, Starbucks or Nero.

I usually avoid any of those but wherever the Supporter's Coach stops at motorway Service Station the only option is one of the above.
Hence little choice but ........

Why avoid them. They’re great if you’re on the go. Especially if you get a rewards card. At Costa’s you get free cake on your birthday if you’re a member. Plus they do reductions if you show your AA card. And Starbucks do loads of drinks offers etc.

What’s this got to do with Saturday’s or football or the pub? This thread is for talking about food and drink and such.

As bad as the Salvation Army not having a Tank division. Put me right off them.
