There was a discussion on national TV that English Police had been used by club but it seems that they should have been using Wales Police : > Entrance to ground in England but terraces and pitch in Wales.
Isn't this by way of agreement between the North Wales and Cheshire Police though?

Lots of sympathy with Chester. If the Welsh Government don't think they should have crowds, they should be giving them compensation

The Welsh Government announced a fund to help businesses and sports clubs affected by the latest round of restrictions when the restrictions were announced in December……

I think they may have backtracked, as Chester were under the impression they weren't eligible.
I'm sure the 3mn will go a long way when you take into account Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Wrexham, the various rugby clubs, RFU, Chepstow race course......

Nail on the head Denz!! we will all end up with a tenner each, also my wife works at chepstow racecourse so i can say for a fact that they lost over £1m alone for the boxing day cancelation of the welsh grand national meeting, its shameful behaviour by this useless parish councilor who thinks he's billy big bollocks.

Its one of those where I just don't see how we can keep shutting parts of society, we had to initially but with the vaccine and mutations to get weaker we have to start to live with it.

Wales and Scotland maybe jumped the gun a bit on it, you could be closing swathes of society every winter if your going to press the restrictions button every time we have a rise in cases or a mutation.

I anticipated England going the same way and after Vale got P-P Boxing Day I expected that would be that for a couple of months but thankfully it looks like that wont come to pass.

Ebou Adams started for Gambia in the AFCON today in their historic 1-0 win over Mauritania. Salford’s Ibou Touray also played. Nice to see an FGR player involved in a major international tournament.

Saw current Swindon keeper (and ex-FGR loanee) Jojo Wollacott started for Ghana v Morocco the other night too.

I've been watching some of the afcon games (85 minutes or so) and noticed ex Crawley and current Plymouth player Panutche Camara came on for Guinea-Bissau and ex Crawley right/left back and current Wealdstone player David Sesay was on the bench for Sierra Leone.

I wonder how many ex league 2 players there are in the squads...come on statos, get stating!

It's become overly politicised. On the one hand you have Boris Johnson making political arguments against restrictions even as he imposes them, conspiracy theorists calling for nurses to be lynched and Nigel Farage's new anti lockdown party (that man has been in more parties than Boris). On the other hand people like Drakeford and Sturgeon seem almost compelled to do the exact opposite of everything Boris does.

It does tend to polarise when to many people, what side you're on is seen as an indicator of whether you're a good person or not. Makes it difficult to have a discussion about it without people lumping you in with a general group.

Yeah Jojo seems to have become Ghana's number 1 keeper this season which is great, but terrible for us as Ward isn't anywhere near as good. I suspect he's probably not going to be playing in League 2 for much longer, hence why we brought in a free transfer keeper last week.

Have you noticed how many games have finished 1-0? Don't want to go all Captain Hindsight on everyone but if you'd have put ££ on that scoreline for all the games you'd be well into profit!

Lewis Ward is more than good enough for league 2.

He absolutely is. But he's inferior to Wollacott based on the way we try and play out from the back. His ability to pass longer to a red shirt isn't great and often it's shanked into the air or the stand which isn't helpful. I do like Ward however and think we have 2 good keepers for League 2.

From memory, I do think his passing/kicking wasn't ideal but I don't think it's exactly horrendous - And his ability to stop shots etc more than makes up for his average distribution. Was gutted when he wanted to leave us to go to Pompy, but thankfully we managed to get an upgrade which I didn't think was possible at the time.

If you are on social media have a look at what Pan posted on his account afterwards, it was very humble and very excited at the same time. He really comes across as a very nice man. Clear evidence that for some playing is not just all about the money.

Yeah I think you are spot on DL to be honest, I have seen keepers who literally cannot kick a ball straight and Ward isn't one of those. I think we are very lucky to have 2 good league 2 keepers however.

At our place Ward was decent and reliable enough, if unspectacular, but I do think that Wollacott, apart from when he was fannying about unnecessarily with bits of showmanship (thinking especially, but not only, of an away game at Bradford City where walked the ball almost to the half-way line, basically daring any Bantams to come and have a go, though none of them did) was a cut above him - probably the best goalie we've made regular use of in recent years until Luke McGee came along.

Wollacott’s performance at Bournemouth in the league cup was probably the best performance I’ve ever seen from an FGR keeper. Some superb saves and keeping a clean sheet away at a Premier League club featuring the likes of Callum Wilson, Dominic Solanke and Josh King up front was some effort.

Although McGee has been excellent this season he’s basically a very decent lower league keeper, whereas for me Wollacott has the higher ceiling, already a full international for a country that could well qualify for the World Cup. Could well end up as first choice at a Championship or even Premier League club I reckon.

Interesting how well 3 of our former keepers have done, Robert Sanchez is no.1 at Brighton and has been capped by Spain, Wollacott is now Ghana’s no.1 and Brad Collins is no.1 at Barnsley in the Championship.

Josh Falkingham has exactly the voice you'd expect of someone that's small and pulls their shorts up to their nipples. 3:35 onwards.

When it rains it pours.

Shameful and disgusting by Hackney, such a fucking idiot.

Hackney was one of the two players that I would be bothered if they left, now it's down to one player.

Our managing director, Selim Gaygusuz, seems to have left Crawley Town. He is no longer listed as a director at ompanies house. No information from the club itself but the only time we have seen him lately is acting as agent in the Tom Dalison move from Crawley to Colchester.

In other news. Our ex player, Bez Lubala, is in court charged with rape. The alleged offence took place while he was a Crawley player and prior to his £300k move to Blackpool. I had wondered why he hadn't been playing up there but it was always said to be an internal club issue.

I'm not in possession of the facts so I will not comment.
