Just thinking there I’ve not been to a home game for two years now

Hurstball put me off… then when he was sacked two weeks later then I planned to do some away games then Covid shut things down.

Then we had the Property play to an audience of invited nodding donkeys.

I don’t look at other crowds much but Covid seemed to get people out the habit and do something else, Lincoln’s crowd they built up are falling, Donny’s have been for some time, I do go to a bit of non League and the attendances are going up.

How much to get in the National League I wonder, 13 quid at Boston when I’ve seen them this season.

Boston are the league below - National League North - which has nearly as many ex-EFL teams as the National League and is nearly as hard to get out of.
Examples of Northern based National League prices;- Altrincham is £17, Halifax £21, Chesterfield £22, Stockport £18.... so all quite a bit higher than Boston's £13.
and to make things worse - the National League is dominated (numbers wise) by Southern clubs

Cooper's got an 8 game touchline ban for sexist comments earlier in the season.
Cooper's 8 game ban was for allegedly saying "you need to realise it's a man's game" after the female assistant got the ref to stop play after a clash of heads in the 91st min of the home game against Exeter on 18th August 2021 - the 3 "man" panel made up of 2 women and 1 man decided that was a sexist remark worth an 8 game touchline ban.... absolutely pathetic decision.

Is it? Sounds like Cooper got what he deserved any hasn't exactly shown any regret about it.

Great decision.

One of the big issues with sexism in football is the small transgressions which might not seem much but contribute to a much bigger issue. Coopers comment is exactly that.

Only way to stamp sexism out of the game is to punish offenders harshly, well deserved.

in Cooper's statement he stated that the the words were directed to Mark Ellis who he felt was making too much of the clash and not directed at the official... we'll never know if that's an excuse or the truth though

Agree with this, not sure how you eradicate this sort of stuff if you don't punish those responsible for it. Unlucky for us that it was our manager, we are just going to have to accept the consequences and get on with it.

Definitely bullshit - plus it says all video footage proves this not to be the case.

Should be banned for eight games just for his lame excuse.

If that be the truth then an 8 game ban is way OTT.
3 games would perhaps be fairer but even three is too many.
1 game ban would have been enough to send out a message to Cooper and any other match official.
I sincerely hope that he appeals.

Didn't Monthe get an 8 game ban for saying something homophobic? This isn't really any different.

Totally different.
Monthe made a personal homophobic remark but Cooper made a general remark echoing what every football crowd does when an opposition player goes down.

Back to the ITV rights. "ITV will show thecbest of the action from Sky Bet League One and League Two"
So, not all of it then.
At the moment Quest has a 2 hour programme, would ITV match that? Or will it emphasise the Championship?
Sky already shows previous little of League Two, even when there are no games in the top leagues, I worry that this will be a further alienation.

Just based on past history I fear it's going to be 85% Championship followed up by the usual patronising pat on the head for those of us in the lower leagues. Last time they had the rights it was basically one big Leeds circle-jerk. Of course though Salford will get on at least...

Quest at least made an effort and genuinely seemed interested in the goings on in our league. Never going to happen but I wonder how things would play out if our league were allowed to negotiate our own TV deal like the conference does with BT.

Except he addressed a woman directly and made the remark.

Tranmere and Swindon have both harshly been fined by the EFL for failing to control their players for a very minor kerfuffle during that fixture. Wasn’t even handbags.

Our previous owner sentenced to 17 years in prison in Albania:

How he ever got to be an owner of a football club in the first place is criminal, he still lives in West London and has been spotted around there a few times, so the chances of him actually ending up in prison are slim.

No matter how bad we are now, we was a total shambles under him and he blatently sabbotaged his own clubs squad so we would go down after the fans protested against him by deliberately selling all our senior strikers and replacing them with youth team players & Rowan Liburd who was total shite.

Given up on Quest, Colin Murray is decent as is some of Ex-Players they have on but Ali and George put me right off. You can tell they have no interest in talking about Crawley or Barrow, well when you grew up in Berkhamsted supporting Spurs(probably)why would you.

Youtube highlights on Sunday Morning for me now.

Hope BT keep the National League stuff.

What? George and Ali are really knowledgeable, they are always talking about league two sides. Though usually if they are on a good run, which might exclude those two

Sounds like that Goldbridge guy. Forest fan apparently but makes his money talking about Man Utd on his channel.

He is Oxford, got the likes of Ed who is Burton as well.

ITV will probably focus on the Championship, its a shame I felt Quest did a decent job of it.

I thought quest did really well.

Of course they’re going to focus on the championship - like it or not league 2 is closer ability and finance wise to the conference north than it is to the championship.

The only thing ITV used to cover half decently for me was the champions league
