Quite a few names on here now were guilty of falling for that weirdo.

I haven't bought a programme in ages personally, but know that a programme is a bit of a staple in football, so do we think there is still a place for the matchday programme or has it had its day?

We stopped ours last season. I didn't buy one since the nineties ha.

Ours got awards for how good it was (nice to have been good at something!) but the demand wasn’t there.

Same as the number of newspapers in circulation, why have all that faff when you can read on your phone/tablet etc.

Added to the fact that online is always upto date, i remember getting programmes when the original fixture had been called off and you basically got the programme from potentially months ago with a sheet of paper in it with the current squads.

Shame for the traditionalists but common sense for the many.

I have'nt bought one in over 30 years -- So yes I believe its had its day.

I did used to buy one regularly as a kid, probably still have a load of 90’s ones in my parents loft somewhere. But that was back in the days where the only other sources of information were the local paper twice a week and the occasional story on teletext if you signed one. I do wonder if kids are now the primary customer base though, can’t remember the last time I bought one myself.

As an aside when my own grandad passed away in the mid-90’s I was given a small bundle of old programmes that he had kept by my Nan, couple of fa cup finals from the 40’s that he had attended as a child were in there. Turned out they were worth a few bob so I sold them when I was old enough and spent a few weeks in the south of France. The folly of youth, I wish I had kept them now.

Yes I don’t think any Leeds fan outside of Bradford or certain parts of Leeds will know anything about Bradford, mainly due to them being an ‘international brand’.

There is nothing wrong with that approach, in our friendly’s with BPA the fans mix and most City fans look out for their results or go to the odd game.

I’m not sure about the Liverpool and Everton thing though, the Bristol clubs haven’t been in the same league for god knows how many years but can’t imagine they’d be the same. And scousers are far worse.

I remember some fierce clashes between City and Avenue fans on derby day in the 60's. Park Avenue was the first away ground I went to as a young boy with family and I was shocked at the battles on Horton Grange Road walking to the ground. Id never seen anything like it in my young life

Yes they were members of football league from 1908 to 1970 and played in the top flight

I don't think ours will be going on for much longer, there's been talk about it disappearing for two or three years now and it keeps being run as a loss maker. It's always been a decent programme but people consume their info in other ways now.

Talking about rivals I’m sure we had a team who were our big rivals and not too long ago they were a few leagues above us and their fans were constantly trolling us on social media, but I’ve just checked the top 5 divisions and I can find them anywhere.

I remember reading that player-manager Jimmy Scoular was sent off during a game but the club continued paying his wages although at that time clubs were banned from doing so.
When challenged the club said they were paying him wages as their manager. He never played a game thereafter.
