Turning out to be a bit of a storm in a teacup. Clem needed £2.9m to pay off a debenture due immediately he bought the club, didn’t have the readies to hand, raised the money by selling 2 lots of 10% of the club. Now paid that back. Apart from not communicating this to the fans - after trumpeting his tenure would be transparent - it seems a sensible way of dealing with that particular debt.
Not really a storm in a teacup, if anything it's bigger than that. Yesterday's clarification statement raises much more questions than answers.

If the previous owner had done the exact same thing of borrowing funds from associates he's refused to name, transferred them shares in exchange, barefaced lied about this the whole time only until the evidence came out proving otherwise, the fanbase would have been up in arms.

Wearing a bucket hat and pulling pints has had the desired effect of sports washing.

I see the decision to ban Walsall fans from drinking in or around Wrexham (still.not sure which police force thought of this, NWP maybe? They are absolutely hapless) backfired as a load of Walsall fans apparently went to Whitchurch and some old bloke punched a.... *checks notes*.... Innocent 18 year old girl bystander (allegedly).

He has named them - they’re on the appropriate form at Companies House. There’s nothing illegal or even contravening FA rules done here. It’s just the usual wrist slitters who want to kick the club in the bollocks. Yeah, he could/should have come out at the outset and told us what he’d done, but really it’s no big deal.

Thankfully the Trust are on it and are asking the right questions.

Because of our history everything he does will be scrutinized; but the actions he has taken have saved the club and so far things seem to be going in the right direction financially and are a damn sight more transparent than during the Power era. But fingers remain crossed!

For context, I believe our owner values our club at £10m.

Well, I suppose an owner’s valuation doesn’t always equate to a prospective buyer’s valuation.

What surprises me is that the club is valued at £14,5m.

That's assuming that the full 2.9 million was paid for the shares. It could have been less and Clem contributed some? But if so, I can't see many buyers willing to pay that sum of money if put up for sale.

Just come across Player Market Value table and it makes interesting reading: -
The teams at top it is down to 6th placed Gillingham who are justifying their outlay.

Notts and Wrexham mostly have players without a value assigned, which is why they're down the bottom. Looks like they essentially only keep values on league players based on which members of those squads do, will be interesting if/when they're updated.

Why are we still referencing Transfermarkt for anything? Their data is either made up or pulled straight from FIFA 23. It's nonsense, nobody should be mentioning that site for anything transfer fee or wage related ever.

I thought the massive police presence on Saturday was embarrassing given there's never been problems between both sides at all. The way they handled both sets of supporters after the game was poor. It was almost like they wanted things to kick off to justify their presence.

A few of our Nantwich based supporters weren't even allowed to go to the station to catch their train back home immediately after the game!

I must admit, when we ventured over a few weeks ago (Wednesday night), it was complete overkill. I know we have more than our fair share of lads, but there must’ve been 200+ officers lined up on every street.

I don’t really seem to notice it when we play at home, just because of where I travel from and which side I enter the ground, but it’s probably just as bad - if not worse!

Every rank cashing in without any justifiable reason.

Cheshire Police are renowned for treating football fans like scum. That high ranking officer Mark Roberts often appears on BBC News with backwards views of football fans. His claims that safe standing would lead to increased cocaine use and increased football violence just sums the pathetic bloke up.

Cheshire Police also objected to our ambitious plans of a solar farm designed to generate renewable energy and increased revenue to the club because they claimed vandals and football hooligans would damage it. Because of these laughable concerns, construction has been delayed.

Not once has there been any violence behind the Main Stand in the car park in the 22 years I've been going games. Why would a solar farm change all that?

Saturday and that game with Bradford was all about cashing in on time and a half for them. They'll all be cashing in at Creamfields on Saturday as well and trying to justify their presence there. No doubt them and North Wales Police will conspire to do everything to stop us from enjoying Wrexham away too.

And then there will be one or two arrests and it will be seen as fully justified.

Cannot say Crewe v Bradford or whoever strikes me as a high risk game!

I'd there is more of an issue with verbal abuse now rather than physical violence - which very little is done about.

Who was in the car out of interest? Saw someone say Bonne was driving but not sure how true that is.
