Who was in the car out of interest? Saw someone say Bonne was driving but not sure how true that is.
Cheye Alexander, Jonny Williams, Timothee Dieng, George Lapslie and Macauley Bonne.

A lot of footballers reckon they can razz a beemer about and end up doing something like that.

It’s a pay-off, though. Do it the normal way, if possible, or have the instant impact but sell your soul.

A real outlier view. Also a lot of factual errors too. We've never played Stoke in a pre season friendly that I can recall, our pre seasons before tended to be against local Welsh sides. Also the numbers of tickets set aside for foreign fans is tiny (something like 75 I think?) - the reason it's hard (not impossible) to get match tickets is that our capacity is 10k and we have 7k season tickets, take away 1k away fan seats and there isn't many available on general sale.

Could be a Chester fan on the wind up, could be one of the small number of Wrexham fans who liked it being run into the ground by a clique from the Lager club who liked to pretend to be football club owners.

Fair enough. I've tweeted a screenshot of your post in reply.

we go thrashed 6-0 by stoke at the racecourse in 2015 and lost 3-1 to them about 4 seasons ago - bizarre that you dont remember them!

we always aimed to have 1 prem or championship team at home and the rest were local teams for fitness.

The 3-1? In the FA Cup? wasn't a pre season friendly so not what I was talking about.

I have no memory of the 2015 game to be fair. Although going back to the bloke in the Spectators point, I'm not sure getting stuffed is any better than our preseason this year. Also going by pictures was it behind closed doors? Doesn't seem to be any fans there.

its literally all google-able

I was definitely there. it was a crap showing by us, and no, the 2019 game was a friendly too.

apparently we lost 1-0 to them in 2013 friendly too!

the point is, the fans got to go to the games and not have to watch us from afar whilst we piss about in America... but he misses the point that it made us more money than any game against Airbus and Nantwich ever would

I literally did Google it and the friendly didn't come up. You seem very defensive. Did you write the article?

Personally I have no problem with a pre season tour abroad if it makes the club money (although this year's had far too much travelling and was too late in pre season needs better planning) but possibly a couple of local games where fans could attend may have been a good idea. Personally I rarely attend friendlies (hence I can't rember the Stoke games) , as they are utter bobbins - and with everything around us at the moment I can see why Bala was BCD. They don't really want thousands of pissed up Wrexham fans turning up for a jolly.

rumbled!

I jest of course. I also have no issues with the America tour either, given our exponential growth in interest out there.

I guess some people just really liked seeing us put ten past Gresford.

it does mean that you miss out on saga's such as who was French Jimmy, the Malawi national team rocking up for a friendly, random trialists, seeing Ricardo Fuller lose his rag and get hauled off before he was sent off etc
